Rasa and I have a Princess Bride board game that is literally a storybook that you play through. It's really fun! *goes back to working on next project* I have the movie, the book and I have this adorable wooden name tag pin that has Inigo's famous line on it. I have it on my Celtic Fling/Renn Faire bag and it stays on the strap. Whenever I go to Celtic Fling and Renn Faire, I have people looking at it and loving it. The one year I went with my mom and I had the Queen notice it and I got into a nice conversation with her. She had read it and I very politely held up my hand and I said the line complete with accent, but at the end I added 'but I would never harm you, I would rather protect you for I am a protector'. She was quite interested and asked 'oh? Would you mind, my dear, showing me how you would protect me?'. So I put my drink down and I got in front of her and said 'if I had a sword, I would have it at the ready, but as I have no sword, I would use my fists and fight with all my heart and might'. She applauded and said 'wonderful! I'll have to speak to my husband about adding you to my guard!' and then she gave me one of those play coins as payment for the demonstration XD I love going there, so much fun. I can only watch The Princess Bride though when my mom's not around since she doesn't care for the movie. It's thanks to my dad telling me about it and thanks to the pyrate auctions at Renn Faire because at some point they'd always bring out the one rapier and have the crowd join in with the line. Naturally I'd never seen it, so didn't understand it and yet my dad did. One year I asked, he told me. June 2013, a few days before Celtic Fling, it was on and mom wasn't home. I got to watch it and from the start, I was in love. So that year at the pyrate auction, I raised my voice proudly with the other Princess Bride nuts and recited the line. I have also gotten Cary Elwes' book 'As You Wish' and love it and I have seen him in person twice now as he's come around on tour with the movie and afterwards he comes out on stage and does a Q&A session. Hearing him tell stories of being on set and the other actors and actresses...especially Andre stories...was so awesome. |

One important factor when dealing with dragons is identification. You must know exactly what you are going up against! Do they breath fire, ice or molten stone? Are they agile flyers or bulky battleships? Does their arsenal go beyond their natural abilities, perhaps they have magic or minions... The list goes on and it takes years of study and deep dives into dragon lore to know the who's who of dragonkind...  Perhaps you can show us what you know...----------------------------------------------------------------- Name the Dragons! I will be posting several different Dragon images. The very first person to post the name of that dragon will get their name on a random list to win one of the two dragonslayers! You may only get on this list once... with this exception.
