Tessa Roseheart is beginning to train her squad of dragon slayers. If you have a sphinx who is interested in becoming a dragon slayer, post a picture of that sphinx (egyptian, regular posed... basically one who the costume will fit) along with the words "I'm fearless!" (in bold).

While Albion is a fairly stable place it is definitely not free from dangers! Changeling double agents, ancient undead, feral lycanthropes, assassins and spies of rival nations, hard lucked bandits, sea monsters, fae enchanted woods, kelpies, dark wizards, spiteful enchantress', redcaps and of course dragons... from hyper intelligent schemers and fire spewing behemoths to near feral wyverns and hydras, dragons were always of concern... at this was just the tip of our knights potential list of problem makers... Now to look for signs of trouble or perhaps a pattern in the draconic attacks!
In order to win our Knight above, post an image and tell a story (at least a descriptive blurb to understand your idea, but you can make the story as long as you want) of some potentially dangerous threat from Albion that our knight uncovers in his travels and/or investigation! In your story you can make your own hypothetical guesses as to why the dragons are choosing now to attack, but a dead end or unrelated encounter is even more likely!

Post an image of a female Egyptian Sphinx you own who would like to be a Lady along with a d20 roll and a single image. The image is meant to show what sort of Lady you will/wish to be! There is literally no wrong choice for this one... a master of the arts or of the bow, an entertainer or feared tyrant, a spoiled princess or a collector of consorts.

The first person to roll a natural 20 on the d20 roll will win one Lady upgrade for the entered Sphinx. Everyone else who enters will be put into a draw for the second Lady upgrade!
Extra contest rule: Everyone may make additional entries once per hour (by clock hour, not posting time ie; you could post at 3:59 and then at 4:01 and again at 5:01) but you must post a different contest image every time! As mentioned above, the first nat 20 will win a Lady upgrade, but anyone who rolls a nat 20 with their entry after that will get on the random list 5 times! Game Rules:
What sort of Knight order would you like to design for Albion? There are many varied kingdoms (and some wilder places) across the land lending to open storytelling and creation. Perhaps something inspired by history or a character or noble ideal? For this contest we would like you to design your own order and we'll pick one to bring to life, including Pooka designing a (simple, see notes) heraldic symbol! You can give as much detail as you would like, and there are many good areas to explore such as Their cause, territory, colours, weapons, secrets, history, symbolism and most importantly for this contest a symbol. You can use descriptions and images and anything else you like to describe your order.

You have 24 hours from this post to enter this contest.
Your symbol must be simple and easily recognised, like a rose or moon or crossed sword or bird claw etc. Things like a simple bisecting colour for a shield could also work, but def not things like checkers or elaborate details! If you are using a graphic or image you did not create yourself Pooka will change it stylistically for common sense copyright reasons. (and we may not be able to make some for the same reason.)
We will pick our fav for Pooka to work on... but that doesn't mean you can't use your creation, and even encourage others to use it as well!

You'll need to sign up for this contest. You may post any sphinx of your choosing. Class, gender, pose... none of it is of import to the game.
To enter: Post your sphinx and the phrase "I'm not afraid. I'll take you on." You have 30 minutes to sign up from this post.
To defeat the Black Knight: On your sphinx's turn, you and the Black Knight (me) will each roll a D10 using the in-forum dice. You have 3 rolls in which to defeat me. Rolls occur one at a time.
- If you roll 1 greater than me, your blow glances off and no points are scored.
- You must roll 2 greater than me to strike a blow and score a point.
- If you roll 4 or higher than me, I am unhorsed and you score 2 points.

Now that we have defeated the Black Knight, we need to find the good knight that he held hostage. His castle is large, and there are many places to search.

Game Rules:
The Kingdom of Albion has many smaller kingdoms within. Typically they're led by a High King, but there hasn't been one for quite some time now.
Don't get ahead of yourself though, this isn't for the position of High King, but for one of the nobility of a smaller King (or Queen) doms.
Basically, we wanted to allow the sphinx stalkers to help with defining the lore for Albion so we purposefully left it open for varying knight orders and nobility so we could hand some of those titles as prizes. ^_^
So, the contest is to have one your your sphinxes either become, or have already been, the ruler or prince/princess for one of these smaller kingdoms. Mr. Pooka and I will choose one (or possibly more) that we would like to add to our Albion setting. The chosen kingdoms get to turn the sphinx posted into a 3.5 King/Queen/Prince/Princess. They may keep their costume if you wish, or gain the nobility costume... either choice comes with a crown appropriate for the station. (There are four types of crowns, one for each title.) Since the Lady hair doesn't quite work with a crown, if a female wins you may choose one non-prestige wig to have added to her instead. (one that will still fit a crown. ^^; )
We're looking for all sorts of kingdoms, good or evil, prominent or looked over, etc. Just whichever ones we would like to add to the lore.

It has often been noted that in some lands most clerics were limited to Female Sphinxes. This is simply a Clerical Error! While in some lands and some faiths, gender may play a role in who may become a cleric of certain faiths or in particular Temples, in practice, many faiths may have both male and female devotees.

The Game!

Druidic Ritual

Game Rules:
Your willing sphinxes are about to have a special druidic ritual performed on them. It will use up quite a bit of the henge's power and draw upon the nexus point of the leg lines, but it will work.
The results of what gets added to the sphinx will be up to me, and randomized a bit. (I'll roll a d100 in RL, higher means rarer traits, lower means more simple traits.) I may add one or more then one trait depending on my inspiration.
To enter post the title Druidic Ritual (in bold) and one of your egyptian (or sphinx who the regular traits could work on, so hieraco, crio, etc still work) in the thread. They may not have any draconic traits already (ie dragon tail, dragon horns, bat wings, etc) Beneath should be a short RP description of how they are reacting to the situation and/or emotionally ready for the ritual, etc. "ie. so and so was nervous but ready to have the ancient ritual performed upon them.". This is just for RP flavour and can be as short or long as you wish.
The entrants will be drawn at random for which sphinxes gain the new traits. I'll transform at least three sphinxes, but may do more by time/inspiration limitations.
If your sphinx entered didn't win a trait you may still RP that sphinx as if 'something' non-visible awakened, like a draconic energy resistance, magical dragon abilities, etc.

There are two dragons up for grabs, one is the dragon viewed above, and another is to be determined by your entry.
This is a random draw colouring contest, but you will want to put some work into it.
Colour the dragon found in the link below...

The scale doesn't matter, just so that it's larger), a gender and a name. The size you save the picture in doesn't matter, but make it large enough that I can at least make out details. (if it's very large just spoiler it if you think it needs it. To spoiler type in [spoiler*] put text/image/whatever here [/spoiler*] and remove the * .
Do not shade in the dragon (so I can eyedropper the colours better) and don't draw on anything extra... just colouring within the lines what is there.
All of the entrants will be put into a draw for one person to have a dragon (with traits chosen by me) to be coloured as they coloured their picture. (To the best that I can re-create it.) The name and gender of the dragon will be the one you posted.
There is a second place prize in the draw for the dragon shown above (#D03).

Game Rules: We all know how horrible the dice have been, and they need to go to jail! To do this, you must roll two 11s on two d20 rolls in the same post (the two 11s represent the jail bars (thank Rasa for that one)). You can roll once per forum hour, so once at 1:59 and once at 2:01 is fine.

Game Rules: There are a pile of presents sitting around because it's Christmas in July! Some of the boxes have things in them, and some are completely empty! Each hour, you can pick a box to open for a max of three per player. This will go by the clock, so you can post at 7:59 and 8:01. To pick a box, post which one you want in bold.
