I've got an update on things, I know everyone is very concerned. The two original doctors that Pooka's been working with want to get things moving and feel that while safe atm, time/speed is important so she's been fast-tracked to the photodynamic therapy... and by fast tracked they called today and it's scheduled for tomorrow. So, we're finally getting something done and here's hoping this treatment works and does it's job!
(so there should be two of these treatments, one tomorrow, one in two weeks, then wait a bit and see how it worked, then surgery to remove part of the ear, though hopefully less then before the treatment... and while everything in this is painful and really kind of sucks, there is a super high chance that it will take care of all of the cancer and there should be no life threatening bits left behind!)
On the plus side, Pooka's home nurse is happy with how her other surgery has been healing and we're almost done with that... just in time for treatment number two!

I'm a bit exhausted (and I was just driving!) for details but we spent about 6 hours at the clinic today and there was quite a bit more surgery then we expected plus the therapy/procedure but we're home safe and sound and everything looks pretty good, (-8 Now for lots of Pooka care!

I haven't been around much so I'm just now seeing this and that's got to be such a harrowing experience, I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this. I'm glad to hear Pooka's procedures went well and is on the mend! Be sure to both get plenty of rest and take care of yourselves!

Thank you so much for all of the well wishes. <3 It's been painful but I've been healing up (more painful then I thought it was going to be). Tomorrow is my next session where the pain should flare back up again after, but it's nearly done. ^_^ Sorry for being so quiet, I've just been here on pain meds for the last couple of weeks, visits by nurses every couple of days, etc. It's interrupted things a lot for us. On the positive side my ear seems to be healing up nicely.  |

Well, it was a long, long day yesterday, but hopefully that was my last treatment. The doctor was going to have my ear scraped again but thought it looked like it was healing nicely and didn't need it. So a lot of burning and in a bunch of pain, but I should be cleared up enough and ready to get going again soon. |
