 Lapita was fascinated by the sights and sounds of this little winter village. Not to mention the smells! All sorts of delicious looking baked goods were on display, and Sphinxes were sipping from steaming mugs of... something. Cider? Tea? Coffee? Or something she'd never tasted before? |

Tamlyn didn't know where to look first. Heck, she couldn't even believe she was actually here! All she could do was point and squeal repeatedly while her new bells rang as she frolicked around.

Job Title: Varies by position and we have openings in several departments such as; Candy cane Twister Sled Ski Waxxer Paper Snowflake Artist Cookie Taster Jingle Bell Smith Fur Trimmer Hot Chocolate Bar Bouncer Accountant Tree Tinseller Ornament Hook Attacher Yule Light Electrician Yogurt Pants Seamstress Broom Hider (must be knowledgeable about Witch cultures) Eggnog Spicer and many many more! Job Summary: Varies by position! Most jobs are explained in their title but we'll give an example! As an Eggnog Spicer you would be able to identify every known variety of Myristica and Cinnamomum trees and their fruits, nuts, leaves and barks. Be skilled in the uses and scent properties of Nutmeg oils as well as be prepared to make Bulletproof Hot Chocolates using natural Nutmeg butters. You must be able to harvest, dry and store your own Cinnamon of several varieties (and you'll be excited to learn of our own North Pole cultivars). Intricate knowledge of harvesting and raising various egg laying creatures of the North Pole as well as abroad. Ability to make good relations with the Milk Guild and negotiate detailed consumption plans for milk of both bovine as well as reindeer and alternate plant milk for some elf's dietary needs. Training at the Zanzibar University of Spice is a bonus but education at any appropriate flavour institution will be considered. Harvesting your own sugar from the Candy forest is not a required skill but most of our past Eggnog Spices enjoy this extra step to have even more control over the perfect sweetness for their highest quality Nogs. Qualifications:For most positions, at least 100 years of experience is our usual standard but we will consider less and we are happy to train you in some high demand new jobs! Must be on the Nice List and maintain this important business standard. Also a First Aid certificate will be required. Benefits:We pay in the highest quality candy and chocolate and our rates are quite above industry standards! Stocking options are also earned with each decade of work and frequently pay out healthy dividends of oranges, small toys and socks. Medical and Dental (yes we have Dentists now, don't make a big thing about it.) are fully covered. Sled Pooling is available for the outer villages. Room and board is also available with several options of gingerbread and gumdrops. Gingerbread and gumdrops are also available to eat of course, it's not just for building materials! ----------------------------------------------------------------- You may enter any (regular posed) Sphinx you own with elf ears into this contest for a chance to win an alt cert of with a North Pole Elf costume and perhaps alt job title! (You may also choose this costume/job as their main upgrade!) In order to enter you must post an image of the Sphinx along with the job title they are trying out. You must also explain their qualifications as well as add any other info that you feel would help you get the job (perhaps pictures of past work, a good story or even a decent reference.) You do not have to choose one of the jobs listed above and instead may apply for a position of your own choosing! We will pick our favorite entry to win this contest and an elf Helper job upgrade! Everyone else who enters will be entered into a draw for a second job upgrade! You have 20 hours from this post to enter this contest!

Congrats to winners so far.  Eiroloth had heard about what was going on and it seemed to catch her interest...and curiosity. Gathering with the others, she looked at the holiday themed femme that was before them, frills fanning out a little. The mention of cold had her wince a little, but she wanted to see this place, see this...North Pole. As others did, she sang the words and found herself in the snow globe, but she was curious, and as they traveled, she carefully perched upon the roof of the house that was inside. Still as stone she sat as they traveled and as they arrived at their destination, she moved from the roof and then sang the words. With a whirl, she was with the others in the snow and when the cold hit her, she tensed a little, but the sight of the village, the color and lights, her jaw hung open a little. "This place is...beautiful. I've never seen anything more beautiful than this." She spoke softly. Seeing her breath though, she chuckled, but she then looked as the other came rushing out. Brow quirked and head canted a little. "Flying...reindeer?" Now her eyes looked upwards and she looked about. Reindeer could fly? |

Sorry that Im taking so long with the franken. My computer was acting up so I had to shut down, and then have dinner. I have everything built so if things work I should be able to start colouring now. ^_^
