We watched Last Christmas while we were working today and it was pretty good! I can't say much without spoilers... but I wasn't sure about it for the first bit but by the end I was way into the story, (-8

It's one of my favorites that Great Big Sea does. They were a good group to listen to. My dad and I like them. Oh wow!! Love the markings and tattoo on Juniper! |

I'm a huge GBS fan! My family is from Newfoundland and I spent many childhood summers there (eta) so I grew up around that type of music.
A couple of weeks after giving birth (decades ago) I went to one of their concerts. I was still so weak that I actually fainted in the crowd! I woke up hearing newfoundland music to my brother trying to get me up. Apparently he was at the concert as well and saw me, but I didn't know he was there. So he rushed down to help me.
Waking up to the music my family listens to, with my brother's voice calling to me, I had this momentary belief that all of those years with Mr. Pooka was a dream and I was back at my family home in bed. Wow, that was a terrifying moment. lol

Oh, and the other thing about the Great Big Sea concert that was really surreal for me was the crowd jumping up and down singing and cheering full volume to songs like "ise the B'y'. O.o
You see, that's sometimes used in Newfoundland as sort of a song you sing to children. My grandfather used to bounce me on his knee singing it when I was really young. So to me it was nearly like watching a crowd screaming and singing to 'Mary had a little lamb' or something like that. lol
