The Floating Island of Cerulea Zylpha is resting! Zylpha Yamanouchi was a unique individual. Her father was a samurai from Hanashima while her mother was an engineer aboard the massive S.T.E.A.M ship. She and her mother and father lived in Hanashima for many happy years before tragedy struck. She wished to follow in her father's footsteps and become a samurai like him, but while the two were out training, a demon attacked. Her father was killed, and she was left severely injured. Her mother retreated with her to the S.T.E.A.M ship, which was stationed in Hanashima at the time. Through a combination of magic, medicine, and engineering, her life was saved, but she was now just as much metal as flesh, which brings us to the present.
Zylpha had finally grown used to the metal wings that now sprouted from her back, and she enjoyed long flights alongside the S.T.E.A.M ship as well as further afield. Her new wings were stronger than the feathered ones that once graced her back, so she could fly for hours now and lose herself in her thoughts. As she was contemplating the duties and honor of a samurai, she suddenly was buffeted by strong winds. She came back to her senses only to find that a storm had blown up around her. She attempted to fly away from the storm, but the winds were too strong, and she was quickly blown off course. Rain pelted her as she did her best to stay afloat, but the wind was sending her in all directions. As she began to grow exhausted, she saw a large mass ahead and flew towards it as best as she could. It was...an island?
She had no chance to contemplate the island's mysterious ability to float in the sky as she landed roughly on the soft grass that appeared below her. A moment later, she was helped up by a purple Sphinx that guided her into nearby shelter. She collapsed into a heap on the ground as she did her best to catch her breath.
"Are you alright," the purple male asked in concern. "That's quite a storm out there!"
Zylpha nodded. "I'll be fine. I just need a moment to rest. What place is this," she asked curiously as she looked around her.
"This is Cerulea Isle," he answered in a friendly tone before continuing. "Those of us that dwell here were lost in the portals as we tried to travel home. By our best guess, this island has always been a home to lost souls. It's why you can see buildings and art from many different cultures! It's quite stunning, and I'll be happy to show you around once the storm is over."
Zylpha nodded her acceptance of the offer. "Haven't any of you ever tried to leave?"
"The portals are one-way, and none of us here have wings. It's a rather long way down," he answered a bit wistfully. "Besides, only those who have been here seem to know that it exists at all."
The sky samurai sat in thought for a moment. A samurai had a duty to protect and assist, and while she was not bound to any lord currently, she was bound to the sky. "I can assist you! My wings are very strong. I'm sure that I can carry a few of you down before I grow too weary, and then I'll return again!"
The male nodded exitedly. "That would be greatly appreciated though," he added in a more serious tone, "some of the residents here may take more convincing."
Zylpha smiled. "I am sure I can find a home for even the pickiest Sphinx!"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: We all know how wonderfully chaotic the Heb can be! This is a way to find homes for Sphinxes that have simply gotten lost along the way. Sphinxes will be posted in small batches, and each batch will have it's own set of rules. Image of Sphinx You Wish to Take Home: Name for this Sphinx: Chie Short Bio for this Sphinx: Despite her outgoing manner and kind heart, Chie's appearance made her easy to overlook. She blended in easily with greenery and shadows, and even those who knew her well sometimes forgot she was there - or not there! But Chie is optimistic and hopes someday she will be remembered. Future Plans for this Sphinx: She'd make an excellent ninja, plus I feel like she and Phyllida would get along well - if they could adjust to each other's cultural ideas! |

Image of Sphinx You Wish to Take Home: Name for this Sphinx: Moriko Short Bio for this Sphinx: Her name means forest child and she was so named because she was born within the forest. Her parents traveling to a new home with others when their village had been destroyed, her mother giving birth to her on the journey while they had been camped out in a forest glade. The caravan soon came to a new village and when they spoke to the village leader, the travelers were welcomed and each given land to make their own homes with help from the other villagers. When she was seven, she started showing signs of being an Earth Kineticist, her parents amazed. Her father said it had been a few generations that there was one with such abilities. When this came to light, the village leader said there was a school in the mountains where she could learn more of how to control her ability if she so wished to do so. Moriko was excited to hear of this, so the leader took her and her parents to the school and there she saw the others training and what they could do. She was introduced to the head of the school and he asked her to demonstrate what she could already do. Nervous, she showed him what she could do, but with one little slip, she spilt a statue in half. She was terrified, but the head of the school reassured her it was okay. He gave her a scroll and told her to practice the exercises on the scroll and when she had mastered each one, to return to the school and to show him again. It took her nine years, but she had practiced each day she could and now she feels she is ready to show the head of the school that she is now capable of controlling her abilities. Future Plans for this Sphinx: My plans are to have her upgraded to an Earth Kineticist to bring her story to a new chapter. |

Image of Sphinx You Wish to Take Home: Name for this Sphinx: Yoon Short Bio for this Sphinx: He is a very kind soul, puts others before him self and makes sure none go without when he can. He loves classic music, even plays the violin in his free time. When it comes go his friends he has thire backs even when they are in the wrong, he will let them know and not sugar coat it even if that means they may not speak for a time but in the end he remains a true friend. Future Plans for this Sphinx: I plan to get him a custom class either Violinist, or something to do with music, and some item upgrades to go along with him. i know a violin will be a must, maybe a rose or two and a nice white suite/outift to suite him (loosly basing him off one of my Fav Boys over Flowers char.) |

Her goal is to create tea blends for every occasion or ailment. Perhaps due to trying to figure out how to bring along her fragile and well-loved plants is how she came to be lost? Future Plans for this Sphinx: I'd like to get her some plants, a tea set, perhaps a nice pet, and come up with a nice custom job for her! |

He is eager to explore new places, and find something rewarding to do with his time. As Zylpha was so kind to help him and the others, he thinks he wants to help people as well, as soon as he figures how he wants to do so- there are so many ways to help! Future Plans for this Sphinx: Story writing, possible RP; figure out what job he may want to eventually try to attain |

Image of Sphinx You Wish to Take Home:Name for this Sphinx: Kiyu Short Bio for this Sphinx: Kiyu is descended from the some of the ancient dragons of the land but doesn't look like it all. In fact, she is the only one in her family to not have been born with any characteristics of her lineage. To make up for lack of physical markers and abilities, she discovered her affinity for languages and has dedicated her life to learning old draconian. Right now, she is trying to wake the dormant dragons and proceed to go on quests for them. In return, they grant her magic and favors that she will use to enhance her abilities but also to manifest the hidden traits. But she will be an illusive thief or a charming court spy if needed. Kiyu is a quick thinker and pretty resourceful, staying one step ahead of her enemies (and she'll make quite a few of them). Deep down, she has a desire to prove her family that she has a place in the clan. Future Plans for this Sphinx: I can see the potential to refashion her with some cool new traits! You can probably guess it'll be dragon traits though, and I will be keeping to the Tatsu ones. I'm not sure what custom job she would have yet, but I think that will naturally come with more story building. I can see her living in my home RP world setting in a desert city far far away, where ancient dragons created the universe and fought over it... only to leave it now as a bustling world inhabited by creatures from all over. The days are extra short and are taken up mostly by the midnight sun phenomena. ^^

Image of Sphinx You Wish to Take Home: Name for this Sphinx: Rabendā Short Bio for this Sphinx: Rabendā has been quite sheltered for her short life. She got hurt quite easily and as a result her parents kept her indoor when she longed to scrape her knees and twist her ankles. She read quite of voraciously to live vicariously through her books. Recently she has left home for the first time and found the world to be wonderful and vast as well as still full of potholes and barbs on which she can injure herself. She is merrily exploring portals and the streets of Ahket and other places all with a bit of a limp in her step and generally with a bandage on an appendage Future Plans for this Sphinx: She may want to work on her clumsiness a bit, maybe train with some dancers for a bit. But she ultimately wants to be a travel writer. She wants to create the works that she read about as a child so she will need to travel a bit more and work on her hieroglyphics but ultimately she will write about her adventures and maybe have a pet or two to show for them |

No longer would the earth be forced to suffer under the curse of daylight, fear her deadly rays or get burned. In order to accomplish this feat, Gavina commands and army of Tigers. Here army is prepared to launch and fight the sun no matter the cost!
Future Plans for this Sphinx: Win or lose her battle with the awful sun, Gavina will no longer have use for her Army of Tigers. Any survivors will be released and in an effort to forget the terrible battle as well as live with losing her beloved Tigers, she will have a wizard erase her memories and implant new ones where she has had a short and sheltered life and dreams picking up some sweet dance moves before becoming a travel writer. (whereupon I would gift my win to Kaats!) |
