Spaces searched
Thalia donned her mask and looked over the map that her boss had given her.
She decided to start following the river and headed to the nearest point to her current location.
Tucking the map into her arrow quiver she headed to 3523
You don't find anything in particular in this hex. |

Mr. Pooka Just to check: You get two guesses per day, since I have made my two guesses for today, am I allowed to make a guess at 12am/00hr, or do I need to wait 24 hours from my first guess? Also for the risk rolls like you mentioned re: monsters or risky situations - will there be a chance of sphinx death and if so will that be clearly communicated when that option comes up if that is possible?

Not finding anything of note at the start she headed along the bank of the river until she reached a confluence and started her search in 3220

Correct on the timing, yuppers we're going by calendar days, so you can guess again after midnight. (for a bit more realism I originally wrote it as timed by the posts but figured that would become a nightmare to keep track of) For the second part if there is any risk the options and dangerous results will be VERY clear before you decide to participate, (-8 (there are a couple options where you could use a different Sphinx as well, like maybe you're travelling as a group or call someone over... but a Sphinx would have to be chosen to do the danger part in order to get the reward part, like say 'prove yourself in combat to win a warrior job upgrade'.) |

After hearing a disturbance, Kallon continues northward to 2522. A battle has taken place here. Several of the missing Viking party lay dead about the area. Most seem to have died from wicked bites discoloured by poison while a few are nearly coated in what was probably molten rock but now looks like a jagged, if fragile, rock layer. A local Member has had her eye in the site pondering what to do with the bodies but didn't know their particular death rituals... You earn one Experience Point and meet this Sphinx!  |

Kallon looks at the carnage before him. He unfortunately cannot help his new companion with death rites though he thinks he heard that vikings tend to burn their dead. "Come with me," he says in his low gruff voice. "We will continue the search to prevent this from happening to anyone else."
