I'm not 100% sure if it was clear in the game description. ^^; The bounty prize is the sphinx, the 'reward' on their poster is just for flavour text.

Heh, when people weren't posting I thought that maybe they took the prize as 'get to be seen with the succubus' and not the sphinx. ^^; I'll be putting in RP 'rewards' under the bounties.

*eyes a contest for proofreading and polishing before delving into the pits to wrangle up some Imps!*
It's been a bit of a flurry in the background here... catches up and says hi! Pooka mentioned above, but Junction (and it's earlier incarnations) have been haunting my folders since 4 computers ago and I'm happy to finally see it come out for everyone, (-8
There is a LOT of inspirational materials that we've drawn on for our theme(s). I figured I'd make a bit of a recommend list... and I'd love your recommendations as well! If it's got devils and angels in it there's a good chance I've seen it but there is always good stuff out there I might have missed! I think a big part of making a list like this is not even just to share media but also to help anyone find a character or story... these are some great resources for playing good guys, bad guys and every shade of grey in between and outside the lines.
Not everything here might be everyone's cup of sin and vice but here we go...
Obviously from our Imps I'd recommend Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. Both of these shows are delightful though very adult! You'll prob notice that many of my contests for this event are named after songs from these two, (-8 I'll prob do lots of song links, but be aware most have NSFW lyrics.
Then you've got your Supernaturals, Wynonna Earps and the like... all fun shows about normal people facing off against demons and monsters.
There are a surprising number of 'catch the escaped devils' shows and films! Recently there was The Bondsman, which was... OK, I'd give it a C. There is a much better show that we loved from the 90s called Brimstone with an identical premise... idk if it's streaming anywhere?
On the same topic, there's also a decent film... OK, it's a not loved nor liked film but at least the stars are completely beloved and not divisive at all. Drive Angry with Nick Cage and Amber Heard... ha, Pooka and I loved this one and have watched it a few times, regardless of the bad ratings (which are not really unfair... but I know what I like!)
...I'm now realizing that I could go on and on for way to long, let me shorten this up a bit, (-8
I think in this setting you can play characters from nearly every genre from seriously dark to joyously optimistic to strait up comedy... all happening side by side.
Tragic heroes on an unending fight against evil. Redeemed demons working for the good guys. Super bad demons forced to work for the good guys... but perhaps it changes them. Morally gray rogues and wizards using demons for good or greed or against themselves. A paladin steeling herself before charging into the breach. (or the paladin who tried this, somehow changed and returned to Junction different.) Lesser devils just trying to get by in a dangerous world with few other options. Powerful demons who've been banished from the abyss with few or no powers who now just need a job. Sphinxes with demonic ancestors fighting against or revelling in their heritage.
There are always great twists out there just waiting to be uncovered and incorporated into your characters and stories! I've got two more media recommendations on this one... There is a great film called Succubus by Full Moon studios. That places is known for it's very low budget schlock, but sometimes the strike gold and this is one of them! Most automatically imagine devils as pure evil, but this goes more classic and sets them up as simple wardens doing their job (like the Lucifer show, though 30 years earlier). I find a lot of people skip this concept because it doesn't work with some popular fantasy settings like Dungeons and Dragons, which has formed a lot of it's own mythology. (some of which I also love and have borrowed and been inspired by!)
There is also a comic who's name I have to search for... darn, tricky one, I'll find it later. It was a simple concept but it dealt with consequences of your own actions. In the opening story there is a powerful Angel who dies... and ends up in Hell. They are furious as they've spent an eternity doing all the (awful) things commanded of it by heaven. The devil explains to the angel that while she was commanded to do these things for Heaven, she was also given free will and she could have said no at any point. This one always stuck with me as a great lesson concerning blindly obeying orders and fanaticism...
So, I'm officially all over the place. In Junction you can play a tragic hero or a hellhound just hopping from party to party. You can play a Paladin struggling to stay in the grace of their deity while also falling in love with a Succubus. You can play characters inspired from Demon Slayer right along characters inspired by Helluva Boss and The Devil Is a Part-Timer!
Have fun, poke around and if you get stuck as for some rp hooks from us or the crowd, (-8
...also if you've never participated in a Heb~Bastet event before you might not know that there may be some kind of twist somewhere in the future, (-8

Cor smirked as she dragged her quarry off. Being seen with Rinzel would enhance both her reputation and that of her guild. It wasn't a monetary payment, but it was still worth it.
As she made her way to collect her reward, she thought back to the sage's words. If the guild had such a weapon, why hadn't they told her? Exactly what was their goal in giving her this new mission but not the tools to complete it?

I think the theme is great and have been looking forward to seeing if I was correct from the moment I guessed it might be this I’m really excited to see what you’ve all come up with Oh ya, I forgot to ask if anyone had any guesses where we were going with this one! I really wanted to do a few more teasers but rl has been wildly hectic and frustratingly distracting. ...I mean I'd way rather be playing in Hell personally, (-8
