I wasn't sure if this should be in the news, but since it's not official yet I think the general forum would be better. Whenever we make it official, we'll make a news post about it. ^_^
For at least a couple of years (ever since the sudden extra censorship on adoptables that made a lot of adoptables leave PI) we had talked about expanding Sphinxes to different sites. I know that there are a few out there who do so, and they've been successful with it. Just to be clear, NOT LEAVING PI, but just expanding the adoptable out to other sites. So if somebody owned a sphinx on FR or DA it would still be using the same ID pool, owner folders, and all owned sphinxes would count as being owned on all the sites we've expanded to. The only ones that wouldn't be able to be put into all folders would be ones that only meet ToS rules on certain sites. Such as a netjer in a bikinni that would be fine on deviantart wouldn't be able to be shown on PI.. but it would still count as if you owned it and could be set up for breedings and such on the other site and in our forums. (We'll figure out any sticky rules and make sure that everything works fine before we do anything official about this.)
We honestly, don't run enough games on the forums here, but we have always said that you don't need to be on PI to own a sphinx, you may keep RPing them and joining in on the forums. But if we expanded to other sites we would be running some games and events on those sites as well.
Two of the big ones we've seriously talked about expanding to are...
Deviantart - which has a pretty good adoptable community, and we can make and show people's sphinxes. We've had a Sphinxes account on there for years just for this possibility.
Flight Rising - although after it's crash from becoming too big too quickly, for the last half year they've had limited registration windows. Hopefully they'll open them up permanently soon enough.
We have also talked about possibly GaiaOnline, but wasn't too sure about that one.
Anyhow, the reason I'm bringing this up now is because Flight Rising, that has temporary registration windows, will be opening them up again on the 14th-15th. (from around 5 am their time, which is 8 am EST, to the same time the next morning. So 8 am April 14th to 8 am April 15th). It's a free site, so if you're interested it can't hurt to get an account during this short window.
(I'm PookaWitch on there as well. Mr. Pooka should be signing up during that window... he's not sure what name he'll use for his account yet though.)
