ill throw it out there that Tobermory is amazing too. We went camping there when I was a teenager and the scenic views are no less then spectacular. Theres a 20 minute walk through the forest to reach crystal clear water that looks like you are in the carribean (search flower pot island). There are natural caves you can spelunkel in<--I did this though I needed a boost from a friends dad) and dive through. Its also a black zone...which means starzaging heaven >> Im not sure how far it is away from Elliot Lake but its pretty far north from where I am..I remember that much ETA: If I remember right its also black bear country. Also theres a small charming town not too far off--id recommend walking around there for a bit too. I remember going on a boat to see all the sunken boats. You could see flowr pot island from the boat (its different water. Its separated). The crystal clear water also has white pebbles instead of sand if I remember right. SO pretty.

Right, time of year could change a lot as well concerning various plans! Doing things in an off season might be super affordable and make for a fine get together also... and the fall around here is usually amazing for anyone not used to the changing colours, (-8 ..also I found this list online airport-authority.com/browse-ca-onI don't know if any of these spots would change the price much? The easy ones to pick up on the list are... Sudbury (2hr), Sault St. Marie (2 and 1/2hr) and North Bay (just over 3h). ...but also, if it was incredibly cheaper to fly to say Toronto instead of Sudbury I totally wouldn't mind doing the 6-7 hour drive either to pick people up! Don't forget there is a Sault Ste. Marie USA and Canada... they are right beside each other but I'd need to get a passport to pick you up on the other side... but if someone was planning to rent a vehicle from there they might be able to bring people over the border with them? I'm just mentioning in case that is a potential big money saver. we could mix and match that too, if lots of people could do a weekend and a few could stay longer that would be cool, (-8 I'd stay anywhere as long as I could afford it and if it was at or near our place anyone can stay as long as they like, (-8 our place is always open to anyone who wants or needs a place to stay! me too! I don't want to over-plan things to do and all the options seem like super fun to me, (-8 we're not to far from you MA, (-8 If you could get to Tobermory and take the ferry, We could easily pick you up and its only a 2.5 hour drive from South Baymouth on the island to Elliot Lake, (-8 (and its a super gorgeous drive and we can go over the historic Swing Bridge!)

I really wanted to take my fiancé up to Tobermory. Its soo pretty there.
I think, if im stable enough (long stretch here! Like, dreaming long stretch) Maybe we can go there for a night so I can at least show him then the next day take the ferry over? Is there somewhere he can park and leave the car for a few days?
It would be kind of weird to camp for one day but I think it might work if we leave in the morning, get there by noonish then spend the day in the woods and the grove (that cave I was talking about...I could spend forever by those waters!)
Geeze, look at me planning things o.o

I'm just one lottery win away from planning an Australian version of a Sphinx gathering! (-8 That would be amazing XD If you were able to ever get down this way, I would have to take you a bit further on to Tasmania to see Dove Lake and Cradle Mountain. It is one of the most stunningly beautiful places I have ever visited and so very underrated. I will have to see if I can dig up the photos we took last time we visited. Some of the hikes are a little beyond me, now, but for those who do hike you would adore it. And even the shorter walks are gorgeous - think fairy tale style fern forests and cantilever bridges through old growth woods. You can canoe across the lake that is a stunning space-blue or go horse riding through the mountains. ...and for those of us who like pampering, there is a day spa XD And not far away is Port Arthur which is one of the most haunted places in Australia. Super eerie and amazingly historical as it was one of the first penal colonies in Tasmania - and the night time ghost tour is still one of my favourite things ever (except for when my Dad scared the hell out of me, whispering behind me in the shadows XD I still haven't forgiven him for that hee hee). I do know our family is planning, at some point in the next couple years, to pool together to visit Canada. Maybe I can impose on you then for a day visit <3 I have no idea where we were planning on going though XD

These all sound like such awesome ideas <3 I really hope we can figure something out I really would like to go. It depends greatly on prices, travel, time off and working cars though >.> I would also have to figure out if hubby would want to come and whether or not to bring the kiddos. It makes me excited that we are talking about it though. And I love those cabins they are soo pretty <3 I really want to get everything figured out so I can make a plan and start working towards it cause im excited

I really wanted to do this so badly! Sadly my vacation is being used to see my family and friends in PA. My Nana hasn't been doing well so I've put extra money aside incase there is an emergency.
