The question got missed on PI so ill stick it here What kinds of slots can we expect other then normal/CP (really hoping for this one!)/CC? Will there be say, pet only (for an existing sphinx), a Mr Pooka semi or possible breeding/growing? good question! we have a lot of possible slot options but the most requested (by far) slots that everyone wants is Normal and CP. I'd love to add some different ones later (like pet slots) but I can't promise anything because I can't guarantee when art fatigue/burnout might hit any of the team and we're just doing things in small slot bursts at the moment. We had almost figured out a breeding/growing idea but hit a couple of roadbumps... but the ideas might evolve into an event on its own! ...there is also a good chance that I'll do some Mr. Pooka semicustom slots but I never do them when the other artists are working. I like to make sure I'm available for doing forms, hunting down obscure files and I usually do things a bit differently (taking off traits or things I don't like working with, adding the odd quirky option and such) and it would just confuse the process and make for more crazy things for people to have to look up and pay attention to. (I really do want to do some Lamorian specific semis if the timing works out)

Yep, I do want a regular Cheetah as is, though it would be great if the red part of the collar could be color-changed. Regardless, $5 fits in PERFECTLY for my plan if you do add them! cool and that should be no problem, (-8 I'm not going to add them directly to the customs lists at this time because I might have to consider the impact of items from costums/templates ect. and I might have to change the price or add some notes, but for this round you can def use the quoted $5, (-8

I'm having a difficult time understanding the differences between type, class and species and where each appears on the cert?
I'm using the website Sphinx search and Minkey55's EM1741 as an example
class runs down the side of the cert ? and if I want a 'Demon' that's where the word Demon would go? and would a Demon class be a Lvl 2?
type would be 'Egyptian' and would appear at the bottom of the cert along with an ID #, and gender ?
species would be ?

Demon would be the species. So looking at that same cert if you looked at the bottom where it might normally read "Egyptian" you would replace that for species.
The class would likely be something like Incubus for a male or Succubus for a female. That's more the class of 'demon'. If that makes more sense?
Think of it this way: Class is the job title. Species is the creature (ie demon, Egyptian, Human, Elven)

good question! Toxi was right on there but I'm going to elaborate for clarity (-8 First off for super simplicity sake, we have three current species of Sphinxes; Egyptian, Greek and Netjers. These can be determined by the different base poses. Even though this guy here has 'Demon' where we usually put 'Egyptian' he is still considered Egyptian for all Sphinx purposes. There are some sort of 'sub-species' as well, like Halflings, Dwarves, Djet, Bennu and the Dusk Elves but they are technically still considered Egyptian as well. They just all share a common set of traits, some of which may be unique to the sub-species. Sometimes other names or origins have been added to the cert in the past to distinguish different backgrounds for roleplaying reasons as well. Now the tricky part of your question is the job titles of Incubus and Succubus. In many game/rpg settings these are used as a particular race or species of creature but in this case we've used it as a class, not necessarily exclusive to Sphinxes who seem demonic or have demon traits or demon on their cert. It is a bit of a confusing one that way! ...also as a note, many of these different species and types have been entered into the website in ways that don't really mesh perfectly with the design of Sphinxes, but that being said we mostly use the website for simple display purposes and we're not to worried about how things are always defined there. I think of the website as an index of the pretties but here on the forums is the place to add any notes or fun rp extras or backgrounds etc... EDIT as an extra, when it fits, I've started adding extra notes into the cert like these girls!

Oh, I see! ... at the bottom you've got Egyptian/Devil ... Egyptian/Vampire
I think I start to get confused when I see the certs that have been setup with RP in mind.
I've got this bookmarked, 'cause we all know how easy it is to confuse me *facepalms*

and that totally makes sense, (-8 the more stuff we add the more confusing everything can seem! The hopefully optimistic thing to keep in mind is that at its core most everything is fairly simple and I'm always here to demystify the layers of RP notes and options, (-8 and as we go we keep figuring out better and new ways to do things!

I didn't see them on the customs area, but maybe I over-looked them... Are Gargoyles available?

I didn't see them on the customs area, but maybe I over-looked them... Are Gargoyles available? heh, sorry I'm answering this for you a bit after the fact but I figured I'd add it for everyone's sake! (the reason we have this thread, (-8) I was planning to add a complete gargoyle set based on one of my designs but just didn't get around to doing it (there is some testing and such that goes into my sets as well not just check-listing the set of traits... I like to make sure things work perfectly before making them a 'set') that being said anyone can 'build a gargoyle' using available traits and choosing a specific design (I'd go with stony or even sparkly for Lamorian RP based ones, but you are certainly not limited to that concept!)

linkI was wondering whether the antennae on his head need a custom item slot or whether those are possible as 'small edits' for a regular slot?
