Ankhu did not often find himself actively participating in the festivals here in Khemet, but there was something about the fire dancer's call that stirred both his blood and his memory. It was this time of year that he often found himself wishing he were back among his father's people, and the dancer's call brought to mind the traditions he recalled from his youth. Other Sphinx were busy collecting the wood for tomorrow's fires, and Ankhu joined in, although he was careful to select only wood from trees that were already dead or dying. He still managed two good-sized piles of wood. The next evening, the fires were lit, and Ankhu danced between them, offering his own invocation to the gods of his father's people as the sparks swirled upwards.

"If there's going to be fire, you can count me there," Hakor said with a wicked grin. He was a fire mage after all and was more than happy to contribute to a bonfire. Using other magicks he'd learned, the fire mage began to take the piles of wood including the one he himself had brought and weave them into an intricate maze. "Let's burn this sucker down," he yelled. As soon as it was dark, Hakor waved his staff and the maze burst into flames. "Burn, baby, burn," he yelled with delight and then took off through the maze yelling at the top of his lungs. "I'm Lord of the Flame!" As he ran through the flames, the fire mage turned them blue tracking where he was going. "YES!" His laughter echoed back through the walls of the maze.

Rathos walked through the streets. It was a holiday, and he'd received leave from his captain. As he wandered through the city, he began to hear cries about fire. "Fire, eh," he said to himself with a chuckle. He was always up for playing with fire, especially when it came to enemy ships. He flicked his own fiery tail back and forth. "If there's anything going on with fire, then I want to be there," he stated as he made his way towards the cries. As Rathos got closer, he saw a great bon fire, and without hesitation, he ran through the flames, adding his own blue spark temporarily to the bright orange.
