Kissa smiled. "I know. Oh how I know. I was lucky. I only had two battles. The third "battle" I went on a search to find Sahret. That was grueling as well. I do not envy those who have battled three years to become Priestess. I heartily applaud all the winners and warriors."

 This was shaping up to be another perrrfect Heb~Bastet thought Selene IV with a Cheshire grin! With so much attention being aimed at Phix it seemed that her city's annual shenanigans had been reduced to a minimum. No foreign invasions, no rival gangs using the festival as a cover to fight in the streets, no legendary monsters luring locals to far away lands, no escapees from Lamorian asylums running amok... no... wait, perhaps listing all the ways things could go wrong might just be tempting fate. Lets focus on the positive and simply revel in the beauty of it all! mmmmmmhhhuuummmmm... Selene IV streched and stroked Berenice VII before stalking down to view the lovelies who wished to join the Temple of Bastet as one of her holy Priestesses! Selene IV: Welcome one and all to my priestess tryouts! I have two openings and two contests for you to participate in this year to see if you have what it takes to join the Priestesses of Bastet! Both of my contests have a tiny, itty bitty little cost for playing... nothing to important really, just a male Sphinx. Probably someone you've had around for a while anyways and really it is the season to upgrade your accessories my dears! Beware, any males lost in this contest will be moved right into my collection with little chance of every returning home! Before you can enter or play either of Selene IV's games to become a Fine Priestess you must post the image of the Sphinx who wants to join the Temple. She may be any female standard posed Egyptian Sphinx of any class at all from peasant to queen! Second you must post a dramatic entrance in this thread for your female, showing off her... something... that shows her potential for the Priestesshood! After this intro post you may play either or both of the games below though you can only win one upgrade for your Sphinx entrant. (If you win the first contest you cannot win the second.) Contest #1
Risky BusinessThis contest is open for 24 hours after this post. Every hour you may post a male Sphinx you own who you are willing to risk loosing to Selene IV along with the phrase "I offer this boy to Bastet if she would have him!" and the number of Sphinxes you have risked so far. You may only post any particular male once for this contest though you may enter as many as 24 times if your feeling lucky! Every successful post will earn you one spot on a random list for this particular contest. When the time limit is up we will randomize the list to find our winner! ...also, immediately after the winner has been announced I will roll a dice that is the same size as the number of entries (and not so coincidentally the number of boys you risked) and the number that turns up will determine which boy you risked that Selene IV will claim as her own! (entries may be any time during each hour, so one post any time during the 2:00 hour, than any time during the 3:00 hour, than any time during the 4:00 hour and so one!) Sample first post for Contest #1 I offer this boy to Bastet if she would have him! IMAGE OF RISKED SPHINX HERE 1 ...and a second post I offer this boy to Bastet if she would have him! IMAGE OF NEXT RISKED SPHINX HERE 2 ...and so on. The wording kept looking tricky to me so I added samples, (-8 basically just remember to number your entries for the dice rolling part of the contest! ----------------------------- Contest #2
Point and Stare!This contest is open immediately after I have rolled the dice for Contest #1! The very first person to post this phrase, replacing the word NAME with the name of the boy who was rolled, will win the second Priestess of Bastet upgrade; "Oh my, NAME is going to the closet!" There is only a price for this contest if you also tried to play contest #1. If you did I will roll another dice as above and claim the boy rolled for Selene IV! (correct spelling matters for this one.) |
