wait--you guys don't have ketchup chips? Or Wunderbars, Coffee Crisp, Crispy Crunch, Mr. Big or even Kinder Surprise! (the last is actually illegal!) I did my research on this before American friends would visit to give them some of the different snacks that are only here.

I think they were a limited time. I need a recipe for poutine... Easy. Fries, cheese curds and gravy. You can get special poutine gravy that is really good, but typically when you buy poutine in restaurants/chip wagons it's just gravy.

Nope, as far as I know the states haven't had ketchup lays. I had my first experience when I visited Whitehorse years ago. Needless to say I was in love! A friend of my actually brought me back several bags when she came back from visiting family one year. They did not last long whatsoever!
Also - it should be noted that my first phrase as a child was "more ketchup, please!" XD

I think the closest we've found cheese curds is Nashville....roughly a 4-5 hour drive o.x;;

A friend of my actually brought me back several bags when she came back from visiting family one year. They did not last long whatsoever! I used to love ketchup chips when I was little. I kinda lost the taste for them over the years, well for most flavoured chips. There have been a few contests for Lays to make special custom chips, and there were mac and cheese chips, and poutine chips, etc.

BTW, it felt odd typing up 'mac and cheese' instead of 'kraft dinner'. It's just what we call all instant mac and cheese in Canada. lol (ETA: No matter the brand.)

I believe I've actually seen both of those flavors before in the states! Have yet to try them. Mainly because I'm afraid they will be gross. I think by far the only flavored potato chips I like are sour cream and onion and ketchup. Though I really don't eat potato chips often.
