My brain is currently swiss cheese again, but... are the CYO sphinxes from forever ago breedable?
(I have no idea why I'm even asking this, because crossing a peregrine falcon mimic with a diademed sifaka mimic... the results would be, um, interesting.)

If one person in a breeding plan has the needed item can they provide it even if they are not posting the form? good question! I think the best way to do this is post the link/image to the item from the other persons inventory in your form, and have the other person make a permission post. (we want to have all the needed info in the form post) and an example for clarity. On MY form in the Items I'd say I'm using a Blue Colour potion provided by Pookawitch. Pooka could then post a permission note in the thread that she's letting me use the potion from her inventory. |

I think anything out there will be templated for adults when the children are grown and may or may not be set up for future use. (I can't think of any that wouldn't, but if we stumble across something super odd we'll deal with it when it pops up... like maybe another artist made something up we don't really want to continue with...) |

Just to make sure. Can we breed a married pair without the permission of the other sphinx owner?
Example:
My girl mayjora is married to one of Erianamoons boys but I don't know how to get ahold of her and she hasn't been on in a while that I've seen. So could I still do a breeding and get a cub from that pair without getting ahold of her?

I grabbed this form from the breeding thread cuz there's something interesting in here, (-8 (There's nothing wrong with the form Cam, just a good example of a neat older trait example I wanted to show off as an example! ...and I can answer your questions here.) Sphinx to be Grown:  Items being used: None (if I’m understanding she can skip to adult w/o an hourglass for this first go thread?) the sphinx's parents: (optional, but helpful)   Notes: I know for sure she has pupiless eyes in the green/teal coloring of EM466. She clearly received the special copper dragon wings, and I vaguely remember also selecting the bronze dragon tail (but honestly I didn’t keep great records so 🤷♀️). She was a moondust breeding and if I recall correctly we are able to select other specifications in the growing process (ie. Job, wig) But I also am not sure on that recollection. If that’s the case I can def make selections as needed just poke me. 💕 Izanagi has a neat trait (copper wings) that will break a few rules. These wings will be templated when he makes Pooka's list (so of course they might look a little diff as a new permanent trait, however we make it available in the future.) These particular wings have a connecting frill that will go down the tail (which is all the same trait). Which adds a few notes. Having these wings would require a dragon tail (so if a Sphinx gets these wings through breeding, they should come with the dragon tail, or if they were available for customs you'd need to order a dragon tail... because it doesn't work on another type.) mostly I wanted to point out the interesting trait notes, (-8 but I can answer a couple of questions because I'm already here! This answers the question above... A Sphinx couldn't have both the copper wings and the bronze tail, just because they don't/fit work together. and a Moondust Elixir note - This would have been (and could be) used to pick traits, gender and colour suggestions, similar to a custom but chosen from the parents options. Wigs are chosen by the artist and grown Sphinxes all start as peasants. (with the exception of a few teens when were still figuring them out) |

I know at one point I did find the info related to that breeding (and old PI PM which has since poofed!). I was not confident on the tail, but knew for sure the pupiless eyes were selected. I honestly planned to default to whatever you all had on her bc... yea I haven’t always been super organized. 🙃 and a Moondust Elixir note - This would have been (and could be) used to pick traits, gender and colour suggestions, similar to a custom but chosen from the parents options. Wigs are chosen by the artist and grown Sphinxes all start as peasants. (with the exception of a few teens when were still figuring them out) I must have a wildly vivid imagination for thinking that one up -lol- 😂 But it does lead me to another question: Would vouchers be something that could be applied to growings? Wig voucher, job voucher etc. |

Actually following Cam's post... that brought up a question I had about De'syl. He has the copper wings on the cat tail. If I wanted to keep the wings, would the tail be turned into a dragon tail? I'm honestly happy with the latter—just making sure I understand for when he's up for growings ^^  |

I had gotten my hopes up a bit when I saw that teen girl with the fox looking tail that A.E did. Wig voucher, job voucher etc. Pooka's still got most of her old forms (this one included!) but it just what I summed up above, (-8 and any technicality aside we'd always try to the our best to make anything we've done work out in the most fun way for everyone, (-8 ...and super no worries about the Moondust Elixir... I'm not sure if it was the original write up, or an even more confusing write up that someone (I think moonlily?) put on the website, but this is probably the most FAQed item out of everything we've ever done! Maybe I should to a full FAQ write up just for that one... and Yes for sure, you can totally use other items for growings and breedings! You could always choose a wig voucher to make sure they have the hair you want, or add a job voucher for an adult growing/breeding so they are all done when Pooka does them up, (-8 |
