The Fictionnaut - Traveling into Fiction... Fiction, what you might call made up fantasy, the Fictionaut studies and explores in all of its multidimensional levels. Portals into other realms, gateways into the subconscious, powerful waves of energy calling from other dimensions... Perhaps if you help him out he might explain some of the possibilities further!
Creation Through Imagination... The Power of Thought!
Fictionnaut: I fully admit that I am a fan of the classics. Works that stand the test of time and have been told over and over. Sometimes they change or vary, sometimes their morals are modified for current events or believes or rulers... but these tales endure. Personally I believe that these stories are the easiest to explore. Perhaps I feel they are built on stronger foundations in their repeated retelling. My beliefs are also my own prison sometimes and that is why I seek your help! I have been desperately wanting to explore a new creation to test both my theories and my limits. In the past I have connected with... fictional life and brought it back with me into this world. Some of my best friends began life... elsewhere... Now this might be pure hubris, but I ponder if we do this both with purpose and on purpose. Can we create a fiction and then use that fiction to bring it into reality? We are entering uncharted territory here so there is no need for embarrassment if you choose not to participate... What I need from you is a story and I feel that if we focus on a Theme or Genre our collective fictions will be even more powerful and resonate with pure fictional energy.
Creation - The Game!
Help out the Fictionnaut by telling a story! Now in order to sum up a whole novels worth of plot and adventure we will be telling our stories with Images. You may use between 5 and 15 images in sequential order to tell your story. You should also add a title for your story but you may not use any other words to tell your story, only the pictures. Post your stories in the This thread. The chosen theme/genre is very open and interpretable, just strait up Steampunk. (mystery? adventure? romance? supernatural? any of these or more, it's up to you!) You have until 12:00 (noon), Saturday the 25th to post your story. You may edit your entry posts up until the time limit has been reached.
The Fictionnaut will choose his favorite entry and we will create some sort of Fiction-Franken from your entry images to create a prize.
We will also select a second winner at random and create a similar Fictionfranken prize!
