I LOVE notebooks! I haven't had the patience to make such lovely ones as Hedge, but I collect interesting ones wherever I find them (especially odd ones from discount and dollar stores!). I'm literally surrounded by small piles atm, (-8 (I count... nine within reach, not counting the ones in some tins right beside me, (-8) ...you can also find nice 'art books' at the dollar store that make wonderful notebooks, often in larger sizes or interesting dimensions... plus writing on the different types of paper feels fun, to me at least, and adds some personality.
Mostly I use them for roleplaying... character books, and some story, note books. For some of our huge living games we've even turned some into Character/Game world bibles for reference, and we even have one for our White Wolf game (modern supernatural with lots of werewolves, fairies, vampires and more) which keeps notes of things like birthdays, and significant holidays for the characters, (-8
..and as a byproduct of using my notebooks for characters, I also have a whole tin full of stickynotes... and not just the little yellow squares, but about 50 different sizes, shapes and colours, (-8 I love to use different ones for character additions (large blue ones for Mythic Pathfinder notes, dark yellow one for Spell lists... etc.) which makes my character notebooks look... more chaotic and lived in, (-8
I also like to slightly mod them, like carefully taping two pages at the back and cutting a bit off the top one to make pockets to tuck other non-sticky notes (like Pooka pictures or an in character love note or a rule printout... that kind of stuff!)

Those are so neat hedge! I love journals. I used to write in them alot but don't much any more. Although I'm guilty of still wanting to buy so many pretty ones i see. XD ive actually been thinking of dropping off some of the jewelry and crocheted crafts I make with our thrift store donations I just make too many of them sometimes and all most of them do is sit here. XD (a few have gone to my daughter and her friend) recently I've been doing more jewlery then crochet though it switches sometimes. I've been stuck on making rings as of late. Rings and playing with resin to make pendants and charms. |

My mom decided to be nice and replace the book that she wrecked on me. It was my Pathfinder Core Rulebook. She accidentally bought me the Second Edition of it. So I have been looking that over.

I always love seeing your jewelry/crafts Rayvin! I was watching a few resin tutorials over the summer... with thoughts on trying to make some of my own dice for roleplaying.
..and looking through Pathfinder books is often a treat, they've got some of the best RP art out there, (-8 Unfortunately for us, 2nd ed was way to diff from 1st ed (plus our years of personal house rules and ongoing games) for us to use.. we've just got to much invested into the game already! (like the piles of notebooks mentioned above!)
Oh yes and I forgot to mention one of my other Notebook uses! I've got another on the shelf right beside me for recipes! While I do have a massive cookbook collection and love reading them, over the years I find myself googling recipes before going to my back room library. ...and if I've learned anything using the internet since... well since before it was the internet... and sites I've used for years tend to disappear or have pages moved or... you know stuff just goes missing. So for the last few years after I make something I really like that I found online, I transcribe it into my notebook (-8

I'm planning to tinker with it. I do a lot of tinkering and system shifting. I may be able to tinker it with it for another game to work better for us

Ya I'm still playing around with it but its pretty simple. You just need to make sure you get your mixture right lol. I actually find it pretty fun. Its messy though XD I always manage to stuff all over my hands and working area. Lol I don't remember if you or pooka have Instagrams but If you do I put links too my accounts in the sphinxy connect thread. One is all photography I've done, the other is a recent craft account I made for all the things I create.  |
