"Pets are the Best!" This is Han in his ninja pose. He's half-retriever and half-unknown. He's my loveable mutt, and I adopted him from a local shelter. My dad was in a rehabilitation facility after his accident that left him in his chair, and I was working a LOT of hours at the restaurant. I didn't like that my mom was home by herself all the time, so I adopted this adorable mutt who actually shares my birthday. He's wonderfully neurotic, hates the color green, and doesn't like to be separated from his best friend Ming. He's been trained... sort of. XD And his name comes from the Korean word for one since he's my first pet ever. His groomer always call him Hans even though she's been his groomer for 10 years. He's 12 years old now and starting to show his age. With his tail over his nose you can barely see his muzzle, but in this picture it's still black. Now it's going very, very grey. He also has a bark like a megaphone that drives my dad insane.

Pets are the Best!  My little Bran. He is still quite the climber, though these days its more on me than anything else. He has taught himself how to perch on a shoulder when I walk around the house. In addition to all of that he has leaned to love sparkly pom balls and will happily play fetch with them. He loves to race after them and then bring them back for you to throw them again. This picture is a more peaceful curious mood, but normally he is found in two modes Calm and sleepy or wild and rambunctious. Either way he has become a loving addition to the family as he will pause and sometimes just demand cuddle, even just picking him up produces instant purrs. |

"Pets are the Best!" This is my Suka. Her full name is Etsuka. I actually got her from a friend of mine who was moving to a new place and could only have two kitties at her new place. She had three with Suka. I "rescued" her from being taken to an animal shelter. She was the sweetest lil kitty. I could never open up a can for anything without her coming up to me miaowing. Unfortunately when I left my ex, I had to ask my mom to take her in. I wasn't able to take her with me.

Pets are the Best! This is my sweet baby girl Daisy. Truly a light in my life the past year and a half, she was something I didn’t realize how badly I needed until I had her again. She helped my heart heal after the loss of our last dog, and she brings joy and laughter to my life every day with her antics.

Pets are the Best! This is Dandelion, or Dande (Danders, Colonel Danders, Dan, Big Bunny, Cute Bunny, nicknames etc) for short xD Name not after the flower, but actually after Dandelion from the Witcher series. Mostly because we thought he was a real funny bunny with a strange sense of humor and always seems to be a ladies man. We rescued him a few years ago when he was a 1 year old, and has been with us for 3 years now. I've had bunnies for a long time now and each are so incredibly unique and interesting in their own way. Plus, they provide the best eating ASMR you'll ever find on the internet, in my opinion :3

Pets are the Best! I can't choose one! These are my pets, Leo (dog) and Milo (cat). They are best friends and spend most of their time snuggling or playing. Leo has social anxiety issues with other dogs so we have a hard time finding him friends, but he has never had issues with cats so when we decided to adopt another animal we went in search of a dog friendly cat. Milo is so playful and loves to curl up with his dog brother it is truly heart warming. Although Milo does occasionally have vampire mode and tries to bite Leo's neck like a little gremlin. Leo is way too tolerant and just lets it happen. We are still working on the command "Don't bite your brother!" in our house XD They are both perfect

"Pets are the Best!" Tai is a ten year old chow chow. He is a floof monster and sheds everywhere. I have gotten used to dog hair being in and on my clothes as well as in my food. His full name is Tai Wan Mei, which is Chinese for perfection, and he is a perfect mess. We often refer to him as Prince Tai Tai because he is super picky and snotty. He has a spot on the couch that is his throne, and heaven help anyone who sits there. We often have to bribe him to eat because he gets tired of his dog food and will go days without eating. He refuses to drink water if it is too warm, so during the summer we sometimes have to put ice cubes in his bowl. Like most chows, he is excessively lazy, and he doesn't like going for walks. A walk for him is checking the mail. Despite being lazy, he is incredibly fast and and agile and the enemy of bunnies everywhere. His favorite thing besides beef jerky is ear rubs, and he will rub his head against my leg until I comply with his wishes like a cat.

"Pets are the Best!" This is Kaja a Chesapeake Bay Retriever-Labrador Retriever mix. She turns 9 this coming year and this particular picture doesn't capture it well, but the greys are creeping in. She is and has been by my side for nearly all of my adult life and is my absolute best friend. Her name means rejoicing in Croatian. She goes by Wump-kin, Wiggle-butt, Kayakaka, Lumpy, and so many other nicknames that have been developed over the years. The one I think that captures her essence is Unicorn Princess. From her favorite bandana that is peppered with depictions of the mythical beast, to her large carnival sized unicorn she uses as a bed. She is very much utterly and irrevocably enamored by all things unicorn. Her title of princess happens to also encapsulate her personality well. She is and has always been a proper dog. She always asks before getting on any furniture that is already occupied, however if no human is using it she will gladly make her self comfortable. Now days she refuses to eat her food unless it has been moistened, and her food preferences are picky! All in all she is the best thing to have ever graced my life.

Professor Flynn eyed all the new Widdershins students from beneath his hat, taking special note of all the new Verden witches and wizards. He would be very interested in seeing how these new apprentices progressed and where each of their special interest lay. He smiled pleasantly at Odhran Realy as the Headmaster gave him a clear 'no you don't' stare after his invitation to the students to go outside and choose a pet. Of course Flynn wasn't itching to go and see what the sweet pet store owner had brought with her; he hadn't been able to visit one of his favorite establishments in Lander for far too long. Realy had no business telling him he had enough toads in the rain-forest greenhouse - how else was he supposed to cultivate the right environment for some of the worlds' rarest mushrooms? And the toads themselves secreted a most interesting mucus that he was sure could be useful in potions. And just because there were rats everywhere did not mean he had an infestation. The owls he kept in the deciduous forest greenhouse kept everything in perfect balance. Really, Realy. |
