Familiar Destiny! As a new Verden apprentice our student was on a quest to find just the right familiar. While some raised their own and others simply purchased one, the tradition in his family was to 'find' the right one... Not to be confused with destiny, the student (and his family) believed that there was a magical connection that existed between a wizard and familiar even before they met and that connection would eventually pull the pair closer until they met. Now that he was at Widdershins there were so many magical creatures living on the grounds and surrounding area he just knew the right one was out there! -------------- Anyone may post an image of an unattached pet they own in this thread along with a d20 roll within 5 hours of this post. The person with the highest roll at the end of that time will win this apprentice and have their pet attached to him. If anyone rolls a natural 20 they will automatically be the winner and this contest will be over! You may enter this contest once per unattached pet you own, though each entry must be in separate posts. (If this contest ends in a tie, the first person with the high roll wins this contest but I have some bonus prizes for the other conestant(s))

'Pets are the Best!' I really loved reading about your pets. <3 I'm so happy to see so many people with much loved furbabies. ^_^ If you don't mind I'll share our pet...  (I really need to take better pictures of him but I don't take photographs very often in general. ^^; ) Runic is my loveable rascal of a cat. He's such a rapscallion, every time you turn your back he rushes over to paw everything he's seen you playing with that day. Literally, just touching each thing until he's scolded, much like when you tell a child 'don't touch that' and they slowly reach over to just poke what they've been told to leave be. When not getting into trouble he's incredibly loving, cuddling up for petting. If you're not petting him (when he wishes for it, no other times) he will very politely request it by stroking your hand with his paw or even petting you on the head. (I need to get a video of him doing that someday.) If you don't take the hint he'll shove his head under your hand. He's a borderline therapy cat for me, we adopted him at a time when I really needed him. ^_^ We found him in a cat shelter for strays and it's amazing how gentle Runic is considering that he used to live on the streets, he never scratches or bites and even lets me trim his claws. I rambled on, but I really adore my little mischief-maker. <3 Here is the unrandomized entry list.
