Zen looked over the rules, he had to admit the school was huge, and there was so much to do, he may not even have time for cute girls..every bit as he read rulse and other thinsg was drawing him more and more in his tail sawying back and forth. He was now truly exsited to find out what house he would be in and what else awaits him.

 Iris gulps as she took hold of the portkey with the others and suddenly found herself in a new place. She shook her head to try a clear the weirdness left in it from the travel. She glanced around curiously looking at the beauty of the place. There was so much to take in. She nearly squealed seeing the owls. Nearly. She controlled herself. She missed her owl friends from back in her simple forest. She tried not to get lost in her melancholy. She missed her world but she was determined to make herself fit in here and be happy. There was o returning. Anyone looking at her could see she was inside her own mind having a pep talk and lost in her own thoughts. Fighting with oneself internally always meant in one way or the other you won. Just depended on which you won. |

Takibi looked around, taking in his new surroundings and trying to shake off the disorienting feeling from traveling by portkey. He felt a mixture of excitement and dread about the sorting ceremony. Deciding he needed to better occupy his mind, he decided to carefully read the rules instead.

For those used to the heat of Ahket this land was chill and damp. Prominently in the center of the courtyard was a large circle of standing stones with strange glyphs written upon them.  Professor Shadowstone ushers the new arrivals towards one of the large, open double doorways into the castle. "Hurry now, we need to get you sorted before the banquet." Walking through the doorway takes you into a great hall. There are tables lined up in great rows with many a sphinx student, in robes and uniforms, many with pets, gathered and chatting away. Interestingly, lighting the room are candles that float in the air. At the back of the hall is a raised stage where a few interesting sphinxes sit, most likely the faculty. In the center is an impressive looking owl hieroco who stands up to address the group. The students in the hall grow quiet so the Headmaster can speak.  Headmaster O. Realy: Welcome to the new students. Before we continue we shall have the very important sorting ceremony. This is so very important because while you are here your House will serve as your family at Widdershins." One of the Professors waves her wand and levitating out from beside the stage is a covered, standing mirror. The cloth is pulled off to reveal a large mirror with an ornately decorated golden frame.  Professor Lace: This is the 'True Reflection Mirror', an artifact passed down through many generations at the school. One who looks into the mirror sees a reflection of the finest version of themselves. From that we can determine which House you would find to be the best fit." Professor Lace ushers the group forwards to look into the mirror one by one. The House Sorting Quiz!!((OOC))Have your sphinx look into the mirror to find their perfect house. Please take the quiz provided. If you, OOC, truly don't like their house you can feel free to choose one... this is just for fun. Your sphinx has the option to gain the house emblem as their background. Please post your results, or choice, in the thread. A description of how your sphinx may reflect in the mirror would be fun as well, but not nessicary. |

Takibi took a deep breath before he gazed into the mirror. After a moment, he grinned happily. Though he felt less than brave at this moment, the mirror seemed to have seen past that quite easily. Iris Steps forward once her turn comes. She glances shyly withing the mirror. She smiles softly as standing there she sees her new self. Confident and happy surrounded by creatures of all sorts. She is in a garden where beautiful plants flourish. She feels almost as if she were home in her forest. Back in to caring for it and keeping it healthy and tended. She likes this thought. Perhaps she could learn how to make a lovely forest here flourish and find new creatures to spend her days with. Yes she liked this idea. his pleased her. She smiled and the smile on her reflection seems to glow with joy. Iris was sorted into

(((OOC- So excited for this! Yay new thread!)))  Toshiaki enters the school with his letter neatly folded. He heard there may be astronomy lessons and he was looking forward to those. He listened with interest as the professors revealed the mirror. Interesting he mused I wonder where I will end up. Upon his turn he gazed into the mirror and saw himself looking almost like a noble knight.  Dramis moved with an easy swagger up to the mirror, a slight smirk on his handsome face as he looked as his reflection. He looked into his own eyes for a long moment before the reflection finally rippled, showing him as a success - a popular success given the adoring public clamoring just to touch him. Ahh the life.
