(This RP is a quick, IC, pre-question RP for the upcoming Widdershins thread. This is for those who have received their letter of acceptance and are curious or just gathering to get ready to leave on this date. If you need you may ask ((OOC)) questions here, but they won't nessicarily be answered if it would be too much of a spoiler.)  Professor Magdalyn Shadowstone had been lingering in the Great Park for the last few days ready to answer questions and queries from those who were to attend the Widdershins school. She had been sitting in the same spot for so long that she had memorized the images and hieroglyphs on the owl decorated needle statue which she had been remaining near. Thankfully she was an avid reader and happily had her nose stuck in a book while doing the tedious job of waiting in one place. Although engrossed in her studies she kept an eye open for any sphinxes approaching near, just in case they were one of the new students. |

 Asterope tucked the white streak of hair behind her ear as she approached the professor-looking sphinx in the great park. The sphinx seemed to be occupied by what looked to be an intriguing book and Asterope was certain this sphinx was likely to have some information. As she neared, her gentle voice beckoned, "Uhm, I'm hoping you are the right person to ask?" In her paw she held the letter she had received from owl delivery and motioned with it as she asked, "What sort of classes are offered?" |

Professor Shadowstone perked up when she spied a sphinx coming near and quickly slipped a bookmark into her tome before reaching into her handy ruksack to produce a stack of papers. "Ah, hello! I'm glad that you're here and congratulations on receiving your letter."
She handed over one of the papers to Asterope. "Here is the list of the curriculum."

The Professor smiled when yet another sphinx approached.
"It is indeed the spot. If you have received an acceptance letter then that means you must either have magic, or the potential for magic... so congratulations! The school is very happy to finally be opening it's doors to sphinxes from outside of Albion and I'm here to bring any students to Widdershins once they are all here and prepared to leave."
She pondered for a brief moment. "You seem unsure of what to ask. I can start with the course information here which I have already given to this young lady and can tell you the basics of what we are doing, but some is best left to surprise when you get there... I wouldn't wish to spoil the moment." she passes over a sheet of the class curriculum.
"I also see that you've brought along a suitcase, good forethought! Those who go to Widdershins will be attending for the whole school year, with options to return home during the holidays of course. It's a good idea to bring things from home that you wish to have with you, but the basic equipment and texts will be supplied while attending. There is also the option to bring a small pet if you like, preferably an owl, cat, rat or toad, but the school doesn't supply those. If you wish for one of those they are sold in the city of Lander which the school has a connection to."

"Ah, I don't believe that those classes are in the current curriculum, although there may be a chance that Professor Hazel is covering some of it in his History of Magic classes. Although there are some new classes being introduced this year such as Atlantean Crystal Magic, Khemetic Hekau, Chronology and Grecian Rites. These are accessible by some of the more advanced students." |

There are required uniforms which include a typical uniform of shirt and tie, sweater, pants or skirt and a set of robes. These shall be provided by the school." |

 Flora could be seen in the background gently talking to another sphinx. She had a few potted plants with her as well as a few belongings. 'Yes hun, im proud of you--and ill always be available to iron out any problems that arise'-- she had a sort of crystal attatched in a pendant that faintly glowed, and while the craftsmanship was clearly from tati, the stone was not from these parts--'Sweetheart, Tati will be right there to help, and Kirah said she would bring the girls to visit too.--I have faith in you. It will be ok. YOU will be ok.' She smiled serenely and clasped her paw on the shpinxes shoulder. 'Theres a list behind the counter incase you forget anything. This isnt forever. Ill be back for Yule, just intime for the holiday rush' She gingerly held her potted flowers in her paws, a light bag with her essentials on her back...and a curious piece of parchment under her arm. 'Now..where was that spot...?' |
