Super off topic, because this is a traditional Halloween Poem but perhaps it fits the caroling just a little at least! Crypt Carol
It Came Upon the Midnight Clear
He came upon the midnight clear,
That Dreariest howl so bold,
From Demons digging from the earth
To swing their scythes of old!
Fear on the earth, good will to none,
From darkness's all ferocious King!

The twins dug through the sack for varying presents, at points nearly disappearing into it's inky depths. Eventually one of them drew out a yuletide tree! (Which could not have fit into that sack!). The tree was black and had jack-o-lantern ornaments adorning it.
Caerdwyn: Hmmm...
Gwendolyn: What is it sister?
Caerdwyn: The ornaments, I think that they could use some more variance.
Gwendolyn: True, we need skulls, bats and other such adornments, this just doesn't work.
Caerdwyn: I'll dig deeper. Perhaps there are some more ornaments within?
Gwendolyn: Oh yes, I'll help you look.

Silver and gold decorations, On ev'ry gothic tree
Okay, I'll be honest, I ran out of time to make more varied ornaments. ^^; So I'll make a few more now. ^_^
This shall be an ornament designing contest. Draw and colour an ornament (skill doesn't matter, so long as I can tell what you've made).
The ornament may be festive or gothic, and can be in any colour or shape that suits an ornament... but remember that these are very small, so a lot of details won't show up. Keep it very simple. Ie: an oval shaped ornament, or a very simple one like a skull or bat would be fine, but something like a caroler would be too detailed for the small size. A simple set of colours with swirls, dots or stripes is great, but very detailed images or patterns would be too small to be seen. Tree toppers are fine as well.
To enter post a coloured drawing of an ornament that you created with your username on it with the title "Silver and gold decorations" (in bold) I'll re-create some that I wish to add to the trees. Don't worry about drawing a typical thing like a ball with stripes or such, I'm looking for basic ornament ideas/colours/patterns.
Everybody who enters will be put into two random draws for a tree that will have at least one new ornament on it (one draw for a festive tree, and a second draw for a gothic tree).
Note: There is already a jack-o-lantern ball and skull tree topper along with a star tree topper.
