Santa comes to Katterheim
The spirit of Yule filled the cobbled streets of Katterheim with vibrant song and merry greetings. The great halls were opened, each more tempting than the last with warbands competing to have the liveliest entertainment and the most extravagant Julebords! Yule Priestess could be seen dashing here and there casting festive magic and performing pre-Yule rituals while visiting elves passed out exotically spiced cookies. There was a big rumor floating around the city this season... something the Priestess had been specifically quiet about and both Oracles and Volva seemed to have no comment on. One of the great gift givers, Santa himself was supposed to visit the city this year! It seemed tales of Santa had even a larger effect on the young of Katterheim this year than even the warding tales of the dangerously pranksterish Yule Lads... The city was quite abuzz with the gossip and many holiday spirits had visited the city in the past, so perhaps...  Tove: Welcome everyone! If I might say, it's delightful to see so many visitors here in our beloved Katterheim for this years festival and I've counted Sphinxes from so many corners of the world... it just brings out my joy that so many can experience our holiday season! There is a VERY exciting surprise expected this year, but I'll let that remain a ... surprise for when it happens! Now let's get things rolling with some presents, gifts for everyone born of Katterheim or visitors from distant lands! ------------------------------------------------------ Tove's Early Gifting!Tove had a great and colourful heap of festive gifts, along with some shiny new wrapped secret presents pilled under her tree to share with everyone!Everyone may pick one present from this selection, and everyone who participates will be entered into a draw for a couple shiny new presents! Simply post a Sphinx you own along with an RP post (short, long, simple, divided into chapters or put into song... (-8 any style you like) and they will have the chosen item added to them! (the chosen items must be added to the entered Sphinx, not stored, and alt certs are fine just mention in your entry!) Everyone who picks a prize from the list will be entered into a draw for some new holiday treats! Oh, gotcha!  Mercy had always loved sweets! Even the fruitcake served during winter holidays. To some Sphinxes, it was a hard, dense food, best to be given not eaten. Mercy thought it was the best thing anybody had ever invented! So full of sweet dried fruits, candied nuts, and delicious grainy goodness, someone might just as well have packed an entire meal into a dessert! |

 I agree. There's not much better than holly. It is very festive. Even King likes holly. Don't you, King. *pets his dog* I wouldn't mind having some on my hat or at my back. (Graham would like the holly cert if adding holly to his hat isn't possible XD) |

Tove's Early Gifting! Sitamun ran around with the rest of the priestesses trying to get ready for the holiday. She'd been so busy that she had missed her breakfast, and her mouth began to water as she caught scent of the puddings that would be served later. Oh, how she wanted some pudding now! ((Wanted to add the title since I'd already posted with Eira.))

 It was Aurelia’s favorite time of the year and she eagerly awaited to see if the rumors dancing about this season were legitimate. It would sure be a surprise! (Aurelia would also like a holly cert on this alt form please. :3) |

Not sure how "here" I will be for this thread, I've been in a Pathfinder Kingmaker mood for a couple of weeks, buuuut I'll see how much I can pull myself out of that for Sphinxy events. Darn computer RPGs are so addicting!

Not sure how "here" I will be for this thread, I've been in a Pathfinder Kingmaker mood for a couple of weeks, buuuut I'll see how much I can pull myself out of that for Sphinxy events. Darn computer RPGs are so addicting! I picked up a few RPGs for Black Friday and when I've got time I've been super enjoying Knights of the Old Republic, (-8 (20 year old games are just my style and this one has been super fun!) |
