So some good news for everyone. Researchers just spotted a De Wintons Golden Mole for the first time in 87 years! It swims in the sand!

Oh? Did they think it was extinct?

They were starting to fear it had gone extinct when they spotted and photographed it. It has a very tiny area where it appears that is threatened by diamond mining. So I am so excited and thrilled that they have seen it once more.

That's very happy. It looks super small. So, I'm guessing it's hard to spot!

I kind of want a mole pet now with the pose of the second picture I posted. I love that so much!

That's very happy. It looks super small. So, I'm guessing it's hard to spot! And it secretes an oil that makes it's fur shimmer. I learned a lot about Golden Moles due to this popping up in my news feed and then going down a rabbit hole

I've been really loving the PI advent calendar this year! I needed that space, I'm going through ponies who I was desperate for more item slots. Today, wow, the kitty looks a lot like our Litha used to. She even used to wear sweaters in the winter, you know, due to being bald. ^_^

I am so stoked for the extra items, but now I need to go back and remember who needed those extra items or what I ended up having to take off of them :'D

Has anyone watched any new good Yule/Christmas specials or movies? When we've been working in the mornings we've been flying through the piles of cookie cutter Hallmark ones, with the occasional side order of ultra low budget Tubi 'classics'... and we have stumbled on a couple of cutes ones!
Catch Me if you Claus - a thief breaks into someone's house and claims to be Santa's son, not a burglar...
The Santa Summit - a fun meet-cute with likeable characters, (-8 Doesn't break any formula but I just enjoyed this one!
and for the super low budget, try Elfette Saves Christmas (free on Tubi) which I really laughed at more than I expected, (-8 - Santa gets kidnapped by the mob and Elfette needs to save him!

I've been waiting for any new holiday movies to drop, but it seems like the writer's strike reeaaally pushed back a lot of the releases. So I guess this is the sign to watch all the ones that I missed years previously Or at least a rewatch ^^ I always enjoy a cheesy, romcom Christmas movie that solves everything through magic of holidays, hah *writes down those movies to watch this week*

I’ll have to look into those. I’ve mainly been rewatching older holiday movies. The grinch is always a staple in my home 💚 I do agree that the writers strike did have an influence on the number of new holiday movies, but I’m not mad about it! The newest one I watched over the weekend is called Candy Cane Lane. Streaming on Amazon Prime. It was a good story and the villain was pretty endearing as well. The cast was star studded with Eddy Murphy, Jillian Bell, and Tracee Ross. Nick Offerman was as also featured and Pentatonix made an appearance. Overall I’d recommend if you have access to the prime.

For some reason my mind blanked on the writer's strike when it came to Christmas movies. I can list several big budget medias I'm looking forward to seeing get back on track but, idk why, it still feels like Hallmark makes a new movie every 5 minutes, (-8
I also love the classics and we've got a few that make the list nearly every year! A Christmas Story, Elf, the original Grinch, and a Miracle on 34th street (the original only for me, anything else is blasphemy! (-8 OMG, I am turning into Comic Book Guy... I can see it!) Violent Night is also fun and we already rewatched it this year, but of course that's not quite for everyone... but I feel many things are improved with more Vikings, (-8
I've been a bit into... trying things I wouldn't normally, especially with movies and tv shows. There's such a massive collection of stuff to stream but it feels like 99% of it only gets viewed by 1% of the viewers and there had to be some gems in there, (-8 (I've found a few!) Like Elfette, lol. This feels like a low budget college film with a budget that makes old Dr. Who's look like blockbusters... but the jokes are funny and the writers are creative, working with what they've got and I found it charming, (-8
I liked Candy Cane Lane Cameron! (-8 Avoiding spoilers, I also loved the villain and her motivation. Extra topical, I wrote up a little note on playing or writing villains in the Darkness thread and she fits the bill as a well rounded bad guy with a relatable motivation!
