The moment my cousin told me there was no Drizzt nor any dark elves, I kinda just lost interest in wanting to see it to be honest.

I know almost nothing about Drizzt and yet I'm still not sure I would trust anyone but his creator to write a movie about him. He's /that/ iconic.

But he absolutely does deserve his own movie.

The DnD movie is actually pretty fun and I'd recommend checking it out... There's a lot of great visuals and pretty accurate lore and it's cool seeing some of the places we RP come to life. That being said it's got a couple of bad marks from me for but the biggest chaotic evil one is that there is no credit at all to the original author of the books. Not even a tiny small print hidden in the credits.
I would also love to see a Drizzt Movie but I doubt it'll ever happen with the current way the company is going. I think the best we'll get is little animated bits like Sleep Sound... but even that was a commercial for Wizards retroing everything good/cool about the dark elves while trying to hide it under the pretense of what used to be fun!
I'd super recommend any of the first few dozen of Drizzt books, (-8 Ya, there's a lot of them, (-8 Anything before DnD moved to it's fourth edition and messed with everyone's fiction. For the second time this thread I'll go a bit 'Comic Book Guy' and compare this to how Marvel Comics started doing monstrously huge crossovers every single year which absolutely killed all other story telling.
I'd also recommend lots of older TSR books, especially any Elaine Cunningham books (though ironically her Drow series is my least fav of hers) or some of the originals like The Finder's Stone Trilogy. Really there are a lot of great books in there and most of them are pretty light reading, (-8
*gets tired of squiggly lines and adds Drizzt, Drow and DnD to dictionary.*

Peeks in... waves. I am tired. So Hubby had surgery today. He is now home safe and sound and in and out of sleep. I am sure I missed a lot.

Yeah, me too. He kinda lost a toe. Wither that or they stole it. lol. We are hoping this helps make all his foot trouble stop once this is healed. It has been one roller coaster of a year. I am ready for some happy things.
