There is a saying that "curiosity killed the cat" and most sphinxes that knew Tierna would immediately think of her. Though in the same breath they would wonder what deity she worshipped to be surrounded at the same time by so much luck. It wasn't that trouble followed Tierna around so much as she walked head-first into it and somehow also made it out the other side. She was somewhat of an anomaly, being the lowest of stature, but behaving so equally toward everyone that anyone who met her had a hard time disliking her. She found beauty in the mundane and many would consider her confident, but perhaps it wasn't so much confidence as a lack of self-awareness when it came to the dangers around her. Her parents had tried several times to marry her off but the proposals went above her head and she somehow managed to unintentionally talk her way out of it. They loved her dearly and meant well, they just worried of her constantly alone in less than usual settings.
And so it would come as a surprise to no one that while she was admiring the Great River - water being one of her favorite things - she had wandered off, and through no understanding of anyone's had found herself rather far from Khemet in the port of Crux, to be specific. If she had thought about it, she possibly should have been concerned how she had arrived, but she was so overwhelmed by the beauty of the freshwater sea and her fascination with this place she was unfamiliar with, that it never did cross her mind. At the moment she was lying at the end of one of the piers, dangling her paw in the water.
