Before Goaz got the chance to see Chanelle's response to his very 'charming' wiles, he was rather crudely addressed by Vell. The thief turned about, brows raising at those very sharp rows of teeth before smiling oh so coyly at his pointy friend.
"Why nothing is wrong with fish, blue eyes" He mocked. "That is if you are a peasant! I would assume that is about all you can afford here in the market though so really, you are not to blame. I just felt the very beautiful lady would find more intrigue in something sweet and delectable" He stressed the words, making it sound like he wasn't really talking about food.
His ears did perk and his brows furrowed a moment when Vell informed him the sweet vendors weren't open yet. "Hmmmm, I suppose that does pose a problem" He nodded and then shrugged. "I suppose you could get her some fish then I will take her to go find some very lovely dessert to get the taste out of her mouth" Goaz stated with an affirming nod, not asking Channelle if that was acceptable.
"Now, now!" He fussed when Vell began unsheathing his claws, his smirk growing wider about his features. "I realize you have no class but that is uncalled for! Do at least try to look like a gentleman in front of the lady" He gave the velvet skinned sphinx a most demeaning pat on the head.

Saliha had traveled to Ahket specifically to see the famous Heb-Bastet in person, because she found the idea of such a grand festival too much to resist. However, it seemed sphinxes from everywhere imaginable had had the same idea, and the city was incredibly crowded. Saliha was drawn to the one place in the city that was closest to her homeland, with semi-open spaces, and green trees and bushes, cool grass, splashing water in the great fountain, and places to rest and relax. It was a beautiful park, and well worth the visit to Ahket just to see it. As she walked, she was grateful for the relative quiet, though even the park boasted loud vendors, entertainment acts, and just plain noisy groups of sphinxes. Still, at least she could breathe here, and Tia'nyn was free to scamper and play. The crowds of pointing fingers and grabby hands were just as disconcerting to her dragon companion, she knew. The park was a welcome respite to them both. Saliha was ready to find a place to sit and rest a while, and began to look around for an area that was less crowded. Looking under a great tree, she spotted some promising sculpted rocks that were shaped just for sphinx bodies, nicely situated in the shade. A Crio male ( Shakir) appeared to already be resting there, with a cub nearby that was playing freely in the grass. Heading over to the resting rocks, Saliha picked one out for herself. For a while, Tia was content to sit with her, but the antics of the cub had caught the dragon's interest. "Go on and play if you want to," she said to her friend. "I don't want to scare the cub," Tia replied, though the hatchling kept her eyes on the cub's game anyway, as if trying to learn the rules for herself.

Well things were certainly getting interesting quickly, but interesting was not always good. Nel was all set to get some delicious fish when she was offered some yummy sweets by the thief. Who would be evil enough to force her to make such a choice!? Surely such a thing wasn't even possible.
Nel was prepared to offer to appease both the males by partaking in all variety of delicious delicacies that they were willing to find when Vell bared his teeth at the thief and insults started flying.
Nel was confused. She hated confrontations, and this one was threatening to become violent. And there were cubs about as well, with what Chanelle could only assume were their parents. She was upset that Vell had such a negative opinion of thieves - she was, after all, friends with one! But she was even more upset that Goaz seemed to think that calling someone a 'peasant' was an insult. Nel had been a peasant all her life and still had done fine for herself.
The decision to flee came quickly. She crouched down and leaped with all of the strength available in her hind legs. She gave a flap of her leathery wings, bringing herself a few feet off the ground. She continued the motion, bringing her higher and higher until she was above the tops of the buildings.
Nel momentarily forgot about the confrontation below her and gazed below her, amazed.... and forgetting to flap. Wings were hard to handle, she thought. Before she knew what gravity was doing, Nel found herself on the roof of a nearby building, tangled in her own wings. Goddess, this was shaping up to be an interesting Heb!

Kafele had continued on his intense game of ram and bug for several minutes. Giggling and bleating in glee when he'd manage to catch a grasshopper or ladybug in his paws! He wasn't rough on the little creatures - per-say. But rather he'd pounce in the attempts to catch them then, upon looking to see if it was a success would either let them go or search for where the prey had gotten to for a second try.
His father's eyes followed the antics of the cub much of the time but often too, he'd begin to drift off again into a light snooze. The heat of the sun draining much of his energy and making it just too easy to nap in this quiet corner of the park.
But, although he was content in his game, the approach and watchful eyes of the lovely female and her dragon soon drew his little eyes up. A smile crossed the cub-crio's face and with a gleeful bleat he'd turn from stalking the smaller flying types of prey and bound off toward the dragon and it's companion.
"Hiya!!" He'd crow as he bounced and stumbled then rolled with the motion to a stop at the foot of the rocks upon which they perched. His little head lifting and shaking several times in surprise. "Whoa.. what happened there.."

Saliha stiffened as the cub (Kafele) bounded over to them with no fear at all, ready to protect Tia if the cub pounced on the dragon. She knew Tia would not hurt the cub, but this cub was a stranger to them, and children did not always understand that things they did to others could hurt.
Intervention was not necessary, though, as the cub seemed to stumble on his own feet, and tumbled to a stop at the base of their rock. Saliha couldn't help but smile at his exuberance.
"Hello, little one," she said, not unkindly. "Are you hurt?"

With a triumphant caw Badru smacked his paw down on Vadim's tail, pinning the cub in place. Or so he thought. He was rather taken aback when the boy yowled and whirled like an overgrown cat to wrap all four sets of claws around the magician's leg. At least he didn't bite as well, instead glaring upward. "I vas playink like a good boy," the cub protested in a watered down version of his adoptive mother's accent as Badru lifted him up and tried to pry him off. "Mamma said ve should go with you und play in zhe park." He clung tighter in protest as Badru began to slide him down his leg, but ultimately lost the battle and landed on his rump in the grass. Dusting himself off he commented dryly, "Drakos hass found a kitty."
With a strangled yelp Badru whirled and plucked the cub up before he'd gotten too far. Drakos was only just learning to use his legs and didn't move too fast yet. Turning back to find Vadim sidling slowly away again, Badru growled something under his breath and sketched a brief glyph in the air. The air in front of Vadim shimmered for a moment, long enough to stop the cub and for Badru to catch up to him and herd him away. As they went he cast a glare at the shimmering patch of air. So crude...but effective at least.
It took a few minutes for Drakos to gather that he wasn't going to be allowed to go back and play with the kitty, but when he did he began to cheep woefully. "Kit-kit-kit... Wan' kit-kit-kit. Kit-kit-kit-kit-kit." As his volume began to build Badru looked around frantically for something to distract the youngster before he began to really wail. The sweets vendors weren't open yet, and anyways, Mina would verbally flay him if he gave treats for this. Instead he spotted Tia looking down at Kaefele while Saliha watched carefully. The Amazon gave him a moment's pause, but then he decided that he'd rather placate her than spend the day chasing down two board boys.
"Look, a dragon!" Badru called, pointing. "You want to see the dragon, don't you Drakos?" Please want to see the dragon, please, he thought to himself. Drakos squirmed and gurgled, his chirping cries fading as he made a grab for the pointing toes. Badru hastily snatched them out of harms way. But Vadim's interest had been caught and he turned a curious gaze on the little silver and gold dragon. "Mamma says she hass dragon in her blood. Is vhere she gets horns and spikes she say. Thinking that one not the kind she related to. Too small," he mused. But his whiskers were still fanned forwards with interest and he was inching his way closer without even realizing he was moving.

Vell scoffed as the thief tried to act as if he was better than himself, "Oh! Like you being a thief is any better than my being a peasant? You can eat dung for all I care, thieves are some of the lowest of the low! You have no respect or honor, just take what you want and running off, ruining all manners of anyone's day!" Blue eyes were a good sign in his homeland- red eyes were cursed. He merely smirked when the thief thought he could jab back at that little comment, and it grew as Goaz almost seemed defeated..
But trying to demean, Vell, oh ho ho, he wasn't about to have any of that! Swatting Goaz's paw away, he let's out a curse. "Keep your hands off of me you filthy scoundrel! Go back to that disgusting cave you crawled out of and leave Nel alo-"
Then Nel flew off from the both of them.
His voice rising, as did his temper, Vell turns his rage back to the thief that made his catch run off. Damn it! And she even seemed like a nice person! "Look what you did you cess bag!" Letting out a growl as his eyes turn back towards the flying away Chanelle, he opens his wings wide before giving a swift push from his paws to spring himself into the air. One powerful sweep of his wings pulls him into the air, followed by well trained flaps of his feathered wings to gain some altitude, ready to chase after Chanelle to make sure she's alright. Damn thieves...

Kafele shook his head again a couple of times before lifting it to smile at the kindly female, "Nope. I'm fine.." Then slowly he'd get back to all fours and then sat back and said, "Who are you? Cause, you know, my momma said to never talk to strangers but if I knew your name and my pappa met you.. then you'd not be a stranger!" He beamed as if this was perfectly sound logic for a cub of his age and then waited.
Though his ears twitched at the voices coming up behind him. He'd turn to glance at the patch-work colored male and two cubs, wondering if they wanted to play too!

Goaz gave a look of false offense as Vell said that a thief was no better than peasantry. "Lowest of the low? I think you are thinking of the far less honorable hand of darkness bunch. I can assure you the people I steal from very much deserve to be stolen from!" He said with a nod. "It takes certain skill to snatch things, you know."
The thief's smirk did not waiver when Vell reached out to give his paw a terse smack. "Disgusting cave? What assumptions you make!" He complained before glancing over as Chanelle so suddenly flew away. He made a face at her departure but didn't seem too concerned.
"What I did?" He asked, bringing up a paw to his fluffy chest in another overly appalled manner. "You were the one about to sink your crazy teeth into my hide! That's what scared her off.
A bit of a pout did come to him when Vell just growled at him and flew off after the bat girl. Well that was certainly a setback, he was not exactly capable of flying after them. Giving a quick kick to the dirt, Goaz scoffed and made his way onward through the vendors. Perhaps he shouldn't be letting himself get distracted by the temptation of upsetting others anyhow.

Today was not his day. He was somehow “talked” more like threatened into spending time with his cubs today and of all things to take them to the festival. So here he was walking along with the two cubs trailing behind him and staring at him as if he was the most interesting thing on the planet. He could seriously feel his eye start to twitch as he glared at the two cubs who only responded by giggling and whispering to one another. He grumbled and waited till the two was by his side. “Just what do you find is so funny?” Both sisters looked at one another before giggling again. “Momma was right about you!” Said Erinyes with a huge smile on her face. “Oh, and what pray tell did she say?” Izanagi said with a roll of his eyes for he knew if that woman had anything to say about him, it was always bad. “Momma said that you may have a pretty face but you are v..a..in….vain!” Spoke Megaera very loudly. Izanagi just glared at the two even more before sighing “Let’s just get this horrible day over with and then we won’t have to see each other for a long time deal?” Erinyes and Megaera grabbed their fathers paw and shook it vigorously up and down yelling deal before going into a giggling fit. Scowling Izanagi snatched his paw back and continued to walk not caring if the two were following him or not to the park where he seen a Group of sphinxes gathering. Although now that he looked closer he could see some cubs as well. Groaning at his luck he dejectedly walked closer to them. Erinyes and Megaera did the opposite of their father and perked up at the prospect of playing with others around their ages.

((Ori, as a mother of three very small, active children who overwhelm us regularly, your post made me literally lol. XD ))
"Your momma is a very wise sphinx," Saliha answered. "You should be wary of strangers. But I will not harm you. My name is Saliha. And this is Tia'nyn." Saliha indicated the hatchling next to her, who had begun to relax once the cub made it clear he would not be immediately grabbing at her. Saliha spied the Crio nearby who appeared to have dozed off. "That is your father, I'm guessing?"
Saliha looked the male over appreciatively, but her attention was pulled back again by Tia'nyn, who had stiffened up next to her again. Looking around, Saliha spied another pair of younglings with a hieroco in tow inching their way toward their shady resting spot, eyes glued to the dragon. And just beyond them, yet another pair of cubs pulling along another male sphinx with wonderously glorious wings, also heading their way. Saliha placed a paw on Tia to reassure her, but she supposed it was inevitable. Tia attracted attention wherever she went.

(Just a quick note, I do have Silent's permission to play Astennu for this RP Kesi had tried her best not to be too late, but her little demonstration for her oldest and youngest sons had taken a bit longer than planned. Astennu had wanted to see her work with Gahiji and her new companion Caligosa, so she had given Shakir a bit of a break and taken two of their three sons with her. The morning had been quite successful, but now the tired mother and cubs were looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the festival. She had agreed to meet Shakir in the Parks, and rounding the corner, she was quite surprised to see the amount of cubs that were wandering around the park. Astennu, who had been walking next to her, widened his eyes. He had never seen so many cubs in one place before! Tugging at his mother's leg, he looked up at her with big eyes. "Momma, can I go play? Huh? Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaassssssseeeeeee." He tugged her leg a big more as he looked around. "Momma, look! Kafele is over there already!" Kesi scanned the crowd of cubs, quickly catching the distinct pattern of Kafele's coat. Immediately she looked for the cubs father to be right next to him, instead her black eyes fell on the amazon and her dragon. Everything seemed to be in order, but when her eyes migrated over to Shakir sleeping in the grass, her eyes narrowed and her claws raked the ground in irritation. "Yes, love. Take your brother and go to Kafele. Cali," She turned her head to the dragon at her side. "Go watch over them." Nuzzling Ahmose awake from her back, she gently plucked up the softly bleating cub and set him down next to his brother. Kesi herself quickly trotted over to where Shakir lay and tossed the weight of her body down against his to get him to move out of his spot and probably jump awake. "Couldn't you have at least waited until I got here to let Kafele out of your sight?" She hissed. Free of their mother, Astennu nudged and licked his little brother's face to wake him. "C'mon... let's go play!" Astennu started to bound off toward the other cubs but stopped and caught himself, tiny wings flapping to arrest his momentum. He remembered that Ahmose had barely learned to walk so turned around to help his youngest brother over to where the amazon was talking to Kafele. Once they were close enough, Astennu called out, " Kafele! We're here!" When he was sure Ahmose would be able to make it on his own, Astennu bounded over and pounced playfully on his middle brother, not even taking notice he was interrupting whatever conversation he was having with the nice lady. Caligosa would do what Kesi had commanded, sticking close to the three cubs, but she of course noticed the amazon and the dragon, keeping her gold eyes trained on the both of them. She couldn't help but give a hopeful chirp of greeting to Tia'nyn though. "Hello."

Already feeling rather frazzled even though the day had only just begun, and desperately hoping that Mina would get over her temper and come join them soon, Badru slowly began to encourage the boys to approach Saliha, her dragon, and the increasing crowd of cubs that were gathering around. The boys liked to play with cubs...right? A dragon and lots of playmates? With any luck they'd be over the moon with delight and actually behave. Or at least stay put.
Drawing closer he winced slightly as he could see Saliha better and see what looked like resignation in her eyes when she looked up from the lone cub already admiring the little dragon nearby. But...who didn't want to get a better look at a dragon? She had to be expecting a crowd...right? Liking it...probably not he had to admit. But it was too late now. The boys were already...
"Boys?" he squawked in alarm, finding neither of them at his feet anymore. His eyes pinned frantically as he tried to figure out where both of them had gotten to this time. Not in front of him, not with the dragon... Surely they hadn't gone far? Drakos just didn't move that well and he was too big for Vadim to carry easily! And then from behind him of all places he heard a familiar voice piping up with a not insignificant amount of satisfaction.
"Now zhat look like dragon mamma could be relate to! Right Drakos?"
As Badru whirled he heard his son gurgle happily in agreement, tiny wings flapping aimlessly. Irrelevantly he magician noticed that his son's spikes were starting to grow out and one had a flower petal stuck on its tip. Strange the things you noticed when stressed out... With a much put upon sigh he headed after the cubs to herd them back once more. Words of scolding died on his beak as he finally followed the older boy's gaze and stopped short at the sight of a sulky looking Izanagi. "Oh dear," was the only thing he could think to say as he stared at the unhappy assassin. This day just got better and better, didn't it?
Belatedly spotting Vadim trotting up to the assassin and his girls, Badru hastened to follow, hopefully cutting the boy off before he marched right into danger. But...too late. Hearing footfalls behind him Vadim put on some speed and detoured slightly to aim for Erinyes and Megaera, calling out, "Excuse, are you dragons too?" Behind them both Drakos sat on the grass and blinked. Finding himself more or less unattended and with nothing close enough to be worth the effort of toddling off after it he plopped down on the ground and began rooting for worms or grubs.

Erinyes and Megaera were getting even more excited at the prospect of playing. Megaera couldn’t stop hopping from one foot to the other and Erinyes could be seen grinning from ear to ear while her tail swished back and forth wildly. Both girls had little to no playtime as of late because of their mother being away and with their father randomly showing up here and there they had to entertain themselves.
“Look Erinyes they have dragons!” The other twin said while pointing a paw in the dragon’s direction. Erinyes following her sisters paw and spotted the dragons as well. “I see them! I wonder if they can talk like us?”
Meanwhile Izanagi started to notice the attention his wings seem to bring him and couldn’t help but to puff up at that. His wings were one of his beautiful traits after all. Of course his thoughts were soon put on hold as he noticed what seemed to be a young brown male cub with white on him staring at him making him stop. *Why was the kid just staring at him? Did he have something on his face?* Izanagi’s eyes grew in terror as a chilling thought went through his head. *Oh no! Don’t tell me it’s another one of my kids!?!* Magaera only paying attention to her sister and about to respond back to her didn’t realize Izanagi stopped and ran into the back of his leg. “Ouch! Papa why did you……” She trailed off as she spotted a young brown male cub with white on him. “Hello!!!” Erinyes also spotting the male cub giggled at her sister before replying. “Hiya!” Before the two could get any further in conversation with the male cub both turned when a Hieroco that looked to be a magician approached and asked them a question. Izanagi at this point snapped out of his horror and turned to the Hieroco as well.
The two girls looked at one another before giggling and replied together. “Yes, we are half dragons” Pointing at Izanagi both said “He is our vain papa!” Giggling again Erinyes spoke by herself “At least that is what mamma calls him.” Magaera wanting to be helpful also spoke. “Momma calls him something else but she forbids us from saying it.”
Izanagi stayed quiet and just eyed his two cubs as though they were foreign to him.

Kafele smiled at the female's words about his mother, nodding along in agreement before pipping up, "She is very smart! She even trains a dragon like your Tia here." He'd nod toward the lovely golden and white dragon before turning to look toward the male of which she spoke. "Ayup! That's my poppa! His name is Sh...shar.." He pauses, ear giving a flick as he seemed to consider this problem a moment, "Shark!" He finished, little chest puffing out at having figured out the name most other adults would have used for his father. "And my name is.."
"Kafele! We're here!"
His head whipped around and eyes grew wide as his brothers bounded toward the rocks and then he was pounced and rolled by his elder sibling. "OOoaf!" He grunted, curling into himself a little to avoid most of Astennu's weight and then shaking his head against the ground as he groaned, "Get off me Astennu! That wasn't nice!" ---- Shakir was peacefully snoring away when a hard shove wrested him from his sleep. His head shot up and eyes opened wide as he yelled, "IT WASN'T ME!" His chest rose and fell in a slightly paniced mode before his eyes finally registered what he was seeing with his brain.
Uh oh.. a very unhappy Kesi. His ears flicked back and he dropped his eyes saying, "Oh.. Kesi my dear...I didn't hear you arrive.." He looked around them for the boys, expecting Kafele to be right in front.. Uh oh. "Where are the boys?" He glanced back at her with all seriousness.
