Florence had headed out to the park with a spring in her step, after recently being accepted into the rank of a Masked Priestess. She'd practiced her fighting already today, but this time she thought it was time to practice outside. The fresh air would help her, and hopefully also cool her down if she practiced under some trees. She was loving this new life. Finally, she could serve her goddess Bastet in the best way possible for her. Her beloved cat Alexandros trotted faithfully by her side as she looked for the perfect place to practice, and eventually she found a shaded area with trees, and as she stepped into the shade she became almost hidded by the darkness, except for her golden mask glinting ocassionally in the dappled sunlight that still found its way to her. When she did not have an opponent to practice fighting with, practicing her techniques was more like a dance as she tried to complete each defensive move on each imagined target as quickly and carefully as possible. She braced herself to begin as Alexandros walked his way onto a tiny patch of leaves, about to watch all that would happen, his bright gold eyes glowing with interest.

Fiasco had watched the Priestess trials with great interest. Living with two Priestesses of Bastet certainly swayed ones interest in the matter. Many of the young hopefuls had been nimble and strong but Fiasco was most interested in this years winner. She had never seen this sphinx before, which was not terribly surprising. Between her time with Petekh, her own training and her own.... work... Fiasco had little time to socialize with anyone new. Fiasco watched as Bastet's newest Priestess left the temple. She darted from shadow to shadow staying just out of sight. She watched for a wile as Florence began her practice. Fiasco she watched her timing and motions and then with her usual precision she sent a throwing star whizzing just past Florence's nose. She had taken great care to be sure it would not touch Florance or come anywhere near Alexandros but she wanted to know how the young Priestess would respond to a surprise attack. After all, that was her aria of expertise. OOC: Not quite how I expected them to meet. Hope this goes well XD

OOC: This was just the first thing that sprang to mind. Sorry if it's awful XD Florence had just been in the middle of a complicated move when suddenly, out of the corner of her eye she saw a shiny silver object flash past her, coming dangerously close. Her muscles tensed immediately and her eyes narrowed as she searched for the thing, or even for where it had come from. Thankfully, Alexandros was not hurt although he was sat up a little taller, examining how this scene was unfolding. She could not find the star, but when she did turn around, she saw an exotic looking sphinx with captivating beauty. At first she had only seen her golden eyes in the shadows, but Florence was no fool when it came to sensing where that attack was most likely to have come from. Florence's first reaction to this was pure hostility. She decided it was never a bad thing to be too careful. Her tail lashed and her every muscle was tensed in preparation for a fight or another attack as she stalked towards the sphinx, who she assumed must be a ninja of some kind. "Funny," Florence began in a low growl of warning, "I haven't seen your face before. What quarrel would you have with a priestess of Bastet?"

OOC: As long as it's true to the characters then it is what it is and we'll work with it XD Fiasco chuckled and stepped out from the shadows. "You Priestesses. Always so quick tempered. It is the same with Dharma." She looked Florence up and down. "You have skill I'll grant you that. but I was curious how you would fare against an unseen unexpected foe. You found the source of the attack that much is admirable. Your reaction time when an attack is unforeseen, however, could use some practice. Though to be fair that does not seem to be a priority in Priestess training. My name is Fiasco. I'm sure you know my clan mates Dharma and Okori, being sisters of the temple. I do not socialize often outside my usual circles but I saw you fight and wished to make your acquaintance."

Florence's eyes widened slightly in disbelief when she heard the chuckle, and the attacker stepped out of the shadows. She was almost in denial that this person was not out to hurt her. She swallowed and held her posture a little higher, relaxing her muscles slightly. "I'm sorry if I sounded... harsh." Florence began. "But that thing you threw at me came very close. For all I knew you could have been out to kill me. And I'm not surprised the other priestesses are also 'quick tempered.' It's sort of part of the job description to never let your guard down. That being said... I apologize for the way I behaved. I wouldn't wish us to be enemies."
She then frowned curiously as her fighting skills were assessed. "I had been trying to test myself out here anyway," she said. "So I guess I should thank you for that little, extra unexpected incident. Hopefully if that ever happens again, next time I will be more prepared." She spoke in a calm, collected way as if all her emotions had been neutralised somehow. However, the next time she spoke she sounded warmer. "Yes, the names Dharma and Okori do ring a bell. I believe they introduced themselves to me when I was first welcomed into the sisterhood. I did not know you knew them! However, it is a pleasure to meet you Fiasco. My name is Florence... I suppose Dharma or Okori may have already told you this before I did." Florence held out her paw for Fiasco to shake, hoping it wouldn't mean she could be taken advantage of at the last minute. She really found it hard to get out of that fighting mentality sometimes.

Fiasco looked at Florence's out stretched paw for a couple heartbeats and then as though she had just remembered what it was for she shook it.
"I did not mean to offend in any way. I live with so many who.... Let's say value the skill to move within the shadows. I sometimes forget that not everyone thinks as we do."
Fiasco then wandered past Florence keeping her senses heightened and still talking she recovered her throwing star.
"All may friends and much of my clan are fighters of one sort or another. I sometimes forget how to socialize outside of training. I suppose that is something I could work on."
With this last bit she let out another gentile chuckle

"Don't worry, I was not offended. Just a little... shocked?" She chuckled a bit. "But do not worry. That's in the past now." She watched as Fiasco collected her throwing star. "Well, I suppose I could help you with that. Socialising, I mean. Unfortunately, I did have to live as a peasant for a long while before I was upgraded." She purred. "Not that I would prefer life then to how it is now!" She gazed at Fiasco for a little bit, pondering her unique beauty. "Fiasco," She began. "You have mentioned much about your friends. But have you any lovers in your life? I would find it hard to believe that one as beautiful as you would be... unattached." She said, smiling beneath her mask. She hoped that question hadn't sounded too intrusive. As she waited for Fiasco's answer, she decided to remove her mask so that Fiasco could see exactly what she looked like beneath it. Florence thought it might be hard to open up to a faceless person.

Hearing Florences question about lovers Fiasco visibly paused. Her best friends was married and seemed happy she even has a lovely though troublesome cub. But her... a lover....
"Well... "
She thought some more. The regaining her usual demeanor she turned to face Florance.
"The short answer is no. I do not have any lovers. I find many sphinxes attractive and they can be... amusing to watch. And men... well men in general seem a bit... well let's just stick with they make good decoration.
And what about a lovely lady like your self? Especially with the time you spend in the temple. I hear Selene IV has quite an eye for men."
OOC: Sorry for going poof. Got eaten by my final and then once my class from hell was done My brain totally checked out for a couple days. XD

OOC: Then it was my turn to go poof. XD Sorry about that.
"No?" Florence smiled softly. "I have to say, you have surprised me Fiasco." She then laughed at her comment about men making good decoration.
"Well, Selene certainly seems to see it that way! As for myself... men are not exactly... my type, I've discovered. I hope knowing this doesn't make you uncomfortable." She shuffled her paws, a little awkwardly as she rarely spoke out about such things. "I find them attractive sometimes, of course, but I never found myself able to see them in any sort of... romantic way. I don't know why, but I seem able to observe the beauty in females, and that is it. Sometimes I think there is something wrong with me when I see all those bachelorettes, gazing with such longing at Selene's men!" She chuckled softly. "I tend to just laugh at the scene and pass by on my way."
Alexandros walked over, mewed and pawed at her leg affectionately, and Florence seemed glad to have that distraction for the moment.
"Yet I have never had a partner of any sort, come to think of it. Then again, I've always refused offers from men and have never let anyone else know what my real preferences were. I can't say that it occupies much of my time as a warrior priestess anyway though, and nor do I think that any of the other warrior priestesses think of it much. We have to become detached from all parts of life in some ways, so we can better concentrate on how we can best serve our goddess." She paused to stroke Alexandros, who was clearly craving some attention. "Rarely, but sometimes however, I do feel the... loneliness." She finished.
