Hemuset looked at Sabah and Neteru talking. She couldn't help but feel a growing sense of longing from Neteru as she walked into their home. She also noticed that Sabah seemed tense at this reunion. "I'm sorry for being so defensive. It really isn't personal. I just have to be away from my wife and newborn so often. I worry for her safety. I do know she can take care of herself as she and I have trained in self defense, but you can never be too careful." Hemuset walked out over to Ta-Shera's crib and softly smiled. She hoped that turning her back on this one was a safe thing to do.

Neteru smiled sweetly at Sabah "I glad you seem to be doing well." she looked at the ground for a moment "Honestly Im Surprised you even remembered me its been so long ago since we left the village on our seeking quest." Her eyes returned to gaze gently at Sabah "I have missed you, I wanted to come visit you sooner but my duty to our village and Elder Baylor kept me pretty busy." She smiled "So tell me please what happened after we parted ways for the seeking quest,i would like to be caught up on everything, ive missed so much. " she said as she glanced away from sabah towards hemuset standing near there cubs crib. she sighed neteru had always thought that her and sabah were ment to be together, since they were little her heart had been drawn to her and she had been so thrilled when the elder had named sabah as her betrothed. she wondered what she had done to displease the goddess so much for them to have put her so far out of reach now. looking a sabah now only hurt all to much to watch her gaze at her wife and cub with so much love. Neteru blinked back the tears that had began to well up. theres no point in wishing for something that is clearly no longer mine she thought. All that is left now is to once again be friends, but could she do it? could she just be friends with sabah or would her own hearts true feelings betray her?

Sabah realizing that she had completely zoned out simply watching Hem gaze at Ta- Shera, blinking herself back into reality she turning back to neteru "Im sorry i zoned out, you were saying you wanted me to tell you what happened after the seeking quest?" look up at her guest she saw Neteru gazing at her, was that sadness in her eyes? Sabah had never been very good at reading people, spirits were much easier to read. she gave a light smile " well if you want to here what happened would you mind if i had hem sit with us to listen, ive been wanting to tell her about the village and how i grew up and this seems like the perfect opportunity." without waiting for neteru to reply sabah got up and quietly walked over to hemuset. coming up behind her she wrapped her paws around her waist and glanced at little sleeping Ta-Shera in the crib over her shoulder and smiled. "my dear would like to come sit with us and hear about my village?"

Hemuset leaned into Sabahs arms as they slid around her. Sighing softly she turned and kissed Sabah softly. "I would love to hear more about your past. It seems like today is a day for the past to come rushing forward with people that we thought were lost to us once again." She looked longingly into her wife's eyes and then turned to Neteru. As she did, she saw a glimmer of a tear left in her eyes. What on earth would cause that?

Neteru watched as Sabah and Hemuset embraced and looked away trying to prevent further tears she took a deep breath and turned back to see Hemuset looking at her. She smiled " well i cant wait to hear everything thats happened." she looked at sabah "where shall you begin, miss storyteller."she said playfully

Sabah smiled at hemuset and walked over to her favorite cushion motioning for hem to sit with her. "well i suppose i should start at the very beginning though all i really know is the story that Elder Baylor told me when i was growing up, Neteru knows this part of the story already." she said as she glanced at neteru then looked beside her at Hem "but i want you to know everything too my love." she cleared her throat and began " It was early in the morning, close to sunrise and the Elder of our village, Elder Baylor was walking the forest along the outskirts of the village as he said he did every morning at that time. It was then that he heard a soft cry, a whimper of sorts and he tried to follow the noise to investigate it further. At first he thought that maybe his old ears were playing tricks on him and he hadn't really heard anything but something inside told him to keep looking. After a few minuets more he caught a glimpse of something, going to look at the object further he realized it was a woven moss colored basket, in that basket was me." Sabah paused in thought for a moment "Elder Baylor took me to the village and made an announcement to the entire village, saying that the gods/goddesses had blessed them with a new daughter, that her name would be Sabah named after the morning sunrise under which she had been found and that the entire village would help raise her." Sabah smiled teary eyed at Hemuset " I've always been curious as to how I ended up in that basket in the forest and what had become of my parents but when i was little i really never felt the need to go find out, i was happy growing up in the village and i wouldn't of changed it for anything." She wiped her eyes with her paw and smiled, taking in a few deep breaths to ready herself.

Hemuset was captivated by hearing how Sabah was named and raised. Reaching a paw up to caress Sabah's face, she wiped away a lone teardrop that Sabah had missed. She smiled and said, "Tell me more beloved, did you find your parents?"

Sabah smiled "no i didnt though i did look a little bit when i went on my the seeking quest but thats getting a bit ahead of the story, as i had said i didnt really feel the need to look for them when i was little." Sha smiled at hem took a breath and then continued "After Elder Baylor brought me to the village he placed me with my first family, the mom had a cub as well. That they assumed looked to be about my age, that was neteru and her mother." Sabah looked at neteru and smiled before returning to her story " since Elder Baylor had deemed me the daughter of the village, i never stayed in one place, every home in the village was my home, every one in the village was my family. It was like that for a lot of people i know but even more so for me. The entire village helped raise and provide for me, everyone had an extra bed and clothes and even food ready and waiting for me at all times. Everyone loved me so much the elder had to make a chart of were i went and how long i stayed so everyone would get equal time with me." sabah laughed at her memories as she remembered "there was alot of cubs my age to play with as i grew older but neteru here." she gestured to her "was my best friend of all," sabah seeming to forget herself a bit in her memories continued "we stayed that way even after Elder Baylor betrothed us, finding out that not only were we best friends but that the elder had deemed that our auras could be forever connected was very well, i think that day was really exciting for both of us." she laughed and trailed off as she realized what she had just said without really fully explaining it sabah began to stutter a bit as she tired to explain so hem would not get upset

seeing sabah stumble over her words as she tried to backpedal a bit Neteru decided to interject " You see to explain a bit, the elder of our village can read auras, and it is village tradition that when you reach your 10th birth year the elder matches you with a complementing aura to be your betrothed, that is if you are to stay and find your place in the village after your seeking quest. this is also the time he provides you with your complementing job/skill set, Sabah here was to be trained under the elder to read auras has he did and would of become the village elder herself eventually, if she had returned that is. since she didnt and she found her place else were it no longer applies to her." Neteru smiled lightly hoping that it was a sufficient explanation.

Hemuset smiled at the thought of the upbringing Sabah had. What a difference her village was. Hemuset could little Sabah playing with the other cubs. However, that didn't explain why she was so shy once she got to Khemet. As she listened she watched Sabah's face seeing her light up as she got more into the telling. Then something Sabah said hit her hard, and she jerked slightly. Had Sabah actually said she was...betrothed or did she say something else? As she was trying to comprehend that, she heard Neteru try to further explain and realized that yes, Sabah was betrothed. In utter shock, Hemuset pulled a little bit back from her wife and looked at her. "Love, did you forget to tell me that you were promised to someone else the day I asked you to be my bride? What does that mean for us now?" Shaking her head, "We have a cub together, what does all this mean???" Hemuset made a move to stand up, ready to fight. Glaring at Neteru, Hemuset began to growl in anger. How dare this one come into her home to try to take HER SABAH AWAY

Sabah watched Hem's expressions as it went from confusion to anger, This is what sabah had been trying to avoid. She slowly stood up and placed herself in the direct path of her wife's glaring eyes. moving slowly she lifted her paw to place it on hemusets cheek. she spoke softly while never looking away from her wifes eyes "I didnt tell you because after the very first time i met you, i had decided to stay here and since i did not return to my village after my seeking quest, My betrothal was nullified. So since it no longer applied to me, i didnt tell you. i did not want to cause you any unnecessary stress or worry." looking deep in to hems eyes sabah continued " I love you Hemuset, I love Ta-Shera, My past betrothal does not and will not ever affect that in any way, Im not going any where and no one is taking me away from you or Ta-shera." sabah slowly leaned in closer to her wifes face and placed her lips on hems giving her a very deep passionate kiss. when finished sabah whispered in hems ear "My body, Heart and Soul are yours forever my love, nothing in this world or the next will change that."

Hemuset slightly relaxed into Sabah's embrace. "I'm sorry love, but I did warn you that I am highly possessive and jealous. Promise my heart that you will never leave me for anyone else, especially a former mate. I don't know what would happen if you were to do that, but I do know that it will be painful." Hemuset drew Sabah in close and kissed her hard, as if to show Neteru that Sabah would never ever be hers again.

Sabah looked deeply into Hem's eyes, "My love as i said i am not going anywhere." she placed her paw on Hemusets chest over her rapidly beating heart "I Promise." she took Hems paw and guided her to sit back down over to where they had previously been sitting. "Now if you can keep your head for a bit." sabah said playful "I will finish my story if you like." she watched Hem and waited for an answer smiling.

Hemuset slowly sat down, her eyes only on Sabah. Their expression read "She is mine, forever. I will not let her go. Not unless she really wants it, but that wll be over my dead body."
Looking over at Neteru, she asked Sabah, "Please, love. I would love to hear more." Hemuset got up briefly while Sabah got comfortble and went to pick up Ta-Shera. Holding her close but softly, she sat next to her wife.

Neteru watched silently as sabah got hem to calm down and they looked like they were ready to continue the story again. She lightly cleared her throat to gain there attention. "If i may interject here a bit before we begin again." she looked strait at hemuset and tried to concentrate on only her " I apologize for causing such trouble in your home it was not my intention, me and sabah were best friends for a long time even before we were... ugh..." she trailed off and paused not wanting to upset hemuset again. " I came to reconnect with my childhood best friend and see how she was doing. I missed her a lot after the seeking quest. I have no intention of taking her from you at all." she said that last part with complete assurance of her words. she really didn't want to take sabah away from were she was happy, she loved sabah with all her heart and she wanted her to be where she was happy even if that meant it wasn't with her. She frowned slightly but quickly shoved it aside. "Anyway..." she cleared her throat Her voice was getting shaky and she took a deep breath and tried to strengthen herself for what she would say next " I Just want...." no she thought to herself and she restarted her sentence "I wish to just be friends with sabah again, if you both are ok with that that is." neteru didn't really just want to be friends with sabah she wanted to be more and knowing that wasnt possible hurt her deeply inside but she rather be near sabah and apart of her life as just friends then not be apart of her life at all.
