Alrighty. This isn't something I really wanted to post about, but I feel it necessary considering the circumstances and the fact that customs are going up.
I know a lot of you have been wondering where I've been and I apologize that I have been rather absent for the second half of the Heb onward. I've told a few of you who have come to ask me personally about what was going on. I'm going to make this as brief as I can.
Around the beginning of March, my grandfather became ill. After months of back and forth with doctors and hospitals and nonsense, he was finally diagnosed with cancer. It has been an extremely uphill battle for him from the start. My grandfather used to be able to take care of himself and his wife, however as time went on, he was unable to do this. Most of my time has been split between my house and their house - trading off with my mother - to take care of them. This has been going on since about mid-May. The past few weeks have been especially hard, my grandfather had spent about two weeks in the hospital with some unknown ailment (which they did finally diagnose). This has set him back on his chemotherapy treatments. His oncologist is also not sure if the chemo is even working.
A few of you are also aware with my school situation. That is something I will not go in to right now, but suffice to say it has stressed me out as much, if not more, than the situation with my grandfather.
On the upside, my grandfather is doing a little better. He had another chemo treatment a few days ago so we will see how he reacts to that.
Right now this does not look like it will interfere with my ability to do customs or finish up work, but in this situation things can change very suddenly. I promise I will be very communicative with anyone who is dealing with me on customs (and also with the Pookas, obviously).
