So this has been a long time coming, and instead of jumping to an explanation I'd like to fill you all in on what has been going on in my life lately, and what is cause for my current absence. Or at least give you a glimpse of some of my activities.
To start out the summer Jess and I celebrated our second year together! I've been blessed so amazingly with his presence in my life, and I am looking forward to what life has to throw at us.
Our fur baby is growing up too! Though she has been giving us a hard time lately with her attitude(she acts just like a little kid!)... and digging! We finally were able to teach her how to swim, and let me tell you, she LOVES it! Moves through the water so effortlessly now! And to think she was afraid of the water at the beginning of the summer! XD
To start the summer season, a week before the semester ended my boyfriend and I made a trip up to my home in Alaska for a week. It was a short lived vacation, but we had an abundance of fun regardless! I don't have many pictures as they are all on disposable cameras.
We came home, and went about the normal routines. Of course I was, and still am on summer break. I took a few courses over the summer, and am getting more and more set for a graduation date in May. Yay! But we've also taken on the responsibility of being there for Jess' nieces and nephew who are transitioning into a hectic life. Basically their parents are separating, and we wanted to be there to help distract them and give them a little enjoyment.
We took an awesome trip out through red mountain pass into the mountains near Silverton CO where the boything's dad has a mineral claim. We spent a few days panning for gold up there, and actually found quite a bit. Right now we are just collecting, but hopefully we will either trade it in for its market value or make something ourselves. We are planning to make at least one more trip out that way before the snow comes, but depending on the weather and life that may not happen. Snow comes early that deep into the mountains.
AND just this last month I came into possession of a motorcycle. Been using it for my main source of transportation, and have been enjoying every second! I know, Cam with a motorcycle?! Crazy, right? XD
Mid summer I earned a raise and a promotion at my place of employment. Since then I've gotten extra hours at work, and have been working my tail off training new employees. I must say I'm really proud for myself, though I do still wish I had unlimited hours to spend here.
So lastly I must come to the explanation. Unfortunately I have come to the conclusion that I am no longer able to dedicate time to the online communities that I have come to love. It's bitter sweet for me as the communities that I have been active in have been a large place for solace for me. There were days that I couldn't face the real world, and coming online to this community and others gave me confidence and a place where I could feel comfort. As I mentioned earlier in this post I will (hopefully) graduating in the spring and going on to employment in the field. However I will still be attending school, and plan to get another degree in political science. Once I have completed that degree I will be applying to go to law school with the intention of becoming a lawyer. I'm extremely excited for the next few stages in my life as I believe that I'm finally on the track I want to go with! I've always talked about becoming a lawyer, and I think secretly (even to me) it has been my dream career.
So with a heavy heart I am saying see you all! ^^ I will one day be back, and hopefully the same faces I see today will still be lingering. More than likely I won't be officially making my leave until about the 18th of this month, and of course if anyone would like to stay in touch with me they are more than welcome to! Feel free to PM me and I will be sure to share my information with you! You all are like family to me, and I don't want to lose that.
But I guess that's it for now. ^^; I'll be around a little bit here and there, and even in my absence I may be able to fit RP into my schedule as its fairly slow anyhow, but as for events and extra postings and fun my responses will more than likely be minute as they have been.
