Amunta had left the Market District after she had finished with some business there. It was now mid-afternoon and she sought out the beauty of the park, wanting to find a place to stretch out and relax...or if she were able to, to find a spot and offer a bit of dance for those already there. She made a trip home first to drop off her items she had acquired from the market...some silks, threads, bread, fish, fruit, some gems...little things of course. She changed into one of her outfits, a simple lilac piece, fixed her blond hair and made sure her wings were set and shiny. Once she was all set, she put the veil in place, locked up, made sure she had her bag set and took to the sky to make her way to the Park. She took a small detour over the docks, loving to look over the ships that were coming in or going out, wondering how it would be to sail on the open waters in a great ship. She landed at the edge of the park and made sure all was straight. She padded through the park, nodding to those who greeted her. It was always peaceful there, the sights and sounds always pleasant. She made her way towards the fountain, her mind remembering when she was a cub, how her mother brought her to the park to play and watch street performers. It was here in the park where she had watched a dancer performing and she knew that was what she wanted to do when she got older. "Mama that's what I wanna do when I grow up! I wanna be a dancer!"
"You'll have to work hard my dear if you're sure."
"I'll work hard mama! I won't let you down!"She sighed softly as she remembered her mother who had passed on a couple of years ago. She missed the femme, how she had always been there for her, telling her all would be right in the world when she had gotten hurt. She knew she was with her father now and happy once more, which made her happy. She continued on, though gasped as she tripped over her own paws, her body shifting to make it look as if she had meant to do such. She looked around, hoping no one had seen her misstep and continued on to the fountain.

Alexander had been lazing about in the sun for a while, reflecting on how amazing it was to finally be in Egypt, and how different it was from Greece. Part of him thought he'd never go back. He felt free here, and everything that had happened since he had arrived felt like it was changing his whole identity. He'd never had the chance to fall in love back in Greece, and now a pirate girl had stolen his heart. It was funny how when you fell in love, you cared for nothing but keeping the love going, and as long as it was, everything else could go wrong but you would still be happy. So there Alexander was, the picture of happiness and contentment. A flash of blue caught his eye over by the fountain, and Alexander narrowed his eyes curiously. Such a shade of blue he had never seen before - except in his own fur. From this distance Alex could see the sphinx was a female, but so similar she was in colours and markings that it was still almost like looking in a mirror for him. The girl tripped, and suddenly Alexander sat up. He felt compelled to see if she was alright, even though he wasn't sure why. "Excuse me - are you hurt?" He asked the female curiously. "I noticed you fell..." He almost gasped now that he could see her close up. How fascinating it was, that she was such a close match to him, like the gods had carved them both out of the same mold.

Amunta had really hoped no one had seen her trip, but she was sure that someone might have. She continued to move till she found an open spot before she settled and began to take in the warmth of the sun. She wanted to relax a little before she began to dance for those around. Her eyes though came to rest on the male who approached her now. She looked him over a moment and seeing his markings and coloring was similar to her own, it made her quite curious. The only difference was that he was human faced. Strange...he seemed like someone out of a dream, something that seemed familiar. As he asked if she was hurt and he saw her fall, she winced slightly.
"O-oh...you...saw that?" she asked sheepishly, but then let a slight grin appear. "I'm alright. I...just tripped. Not something you see a dancer do often." She laughed though to show she was fine. "I wasn't paying attention to the path. I was just thinking of how much I have always loved the park, how it was here that I saw a dancer when I was little and wanted to become one myself."
Her wings shifted a little, showing the peacock like markings along the feathers. She had only seen one other sphinx with colors similar to her own and that was her mother, though her mother's markings were not as visible like hers.

"Ah, glad you're alright then. I guess I'm sorry I noticed but I... Couldn't help it, when I saw that blue colour in your fur, as odd as it sounds. Truthfully, I've only ever seen such a shade reflected in mine before." He spoke softly. Then his eyes lit up when she said she was a dancer. "Wow, I bet you are very talented. And how nice that this very park is what sparked your interest! It's funny... That means you must have been here all your life. I can only say that I wish I'd been here my whole life as well, it's so beautiful. But I am a hoplite, and my place is in Greece... Though ever since I've set foot in Egypt, I've felt like I... belonged." He sighed, hoping this girl would excuse his rambling. He watched as her wings shifted to reveal peacock markings on her feathers. It was remarkable, they were just like his own! Alexander relaxed as the sun felt warm on his fur again. "My name is Alexander." He said. "If you don't mind me asking, what's yours? I'd love to know." His tail flicked gently from side to side in the light breeze.

"I...guess I do kind of stand out a bit with my fur color and such." She blushed a bit, reaching to move a stray strand of hair out of her eyes. As he perked up about her being a dancer, she grinned and nodded. "Th-thank you. It took me quite a few years to get as good as I am, but it was worth it." She nodded though. "I have been here all my life. I lived with my mother and helped her with her pottery and the shop." As he mentioned being a hoplite and Greece was his home, she blinked and leaned forward some. "Greece? Oooooh!!! What's it like? Are there really pegasus there? Are there really minotaurs and gorgons and satyrs?!" She asked seeming excited. She had read of Greece before, though she was curious. "I've always wanted to visit there, but mother said no so many times." She blinked as she realized how close she was and leaned back some. She let her eyes look over his own form, seeing as how he seemed similar to her and it was amazing. She had only once seen another similar to him, but it was in dreams. As he introduced himself, she smiled and bowed her head. "It is a pleasure to meet you Alexander. M name is Amunta." As his tail flicked, she watched it a moment, her own tail flicking around beside her. It was strange. Could he be the male from her dream? What did it mean?
