Why did I become a physician you ask? Well being the mate of two can drive you nuts at times. My male mate Sereg Quesse would come home looking like death warmed over and bleeding everywhere. Most people would panic at the site of him but for me it is a regular occurrence and doesn’t get him more than a glance and scoff or a snide comment from me.
My second mate Aizou Ichi will always be right behind Sereg and make her appearance into the house carrying random things she is gushing over. She has brought home several animals, some I rather not even think how she managed to get it to trust her and let alone pick it up. If it’s not an animal then it’s some weird looking object that has me wondering where the heck she is going to get this stuff!? Though that’s not the worse part, it’s when she asks you isn’t it adorable? with big watery eyes. I am not one to sugar coat or tell lies and will say no to her. She will then just glare at me for two days and that may not seem like much but when you are trying to sleep and you just happen to turn over and see someone glaring at you …..it…..it just….augh! *Rubs temples as though he has a headache*.
I finally couldn’t take it any more with the glaring and puddles of blood everywhere that I had to get myself a job. Thus I became a shop cleaner. Yes, I was in charge of cleaning the shop before opening and after closing. It wasn’t much but at least it kept me from my two mates for a couple of hours. The shop wasn’t in the nicest area though and was kind of in a back alley where a lot of shady people would do business. I had nothing to worry about since I have fire at my call, I would just surround myself in flames and be done with the whole “give me your money or else routine”. If that didn’t work my temper usually helped. You see my temper or emotions are connected with my fire so the more aggravated I get the hotter and bigger my fire gets. I can’t tell you how many things I have burnt at home *sighs*.
Anyway I worked for a long time at the shop and found myself reading the books and scrolls there. The more I read the more my thoughts circled around being a physician. I also realized I could then sedate Aizou and keep her from glaring at me and keep Sereg from bleeding all over the floor, I would hit two birds with one stone! I was so ecstatic and didn’t waste time becoming one either. So no it not the usual “I want be a physician when I grow up” or my “dream job” no it was because I was interested in medicine and because I wanted to be at piece in my own home!
