Ninja
Ninja's are not native the Ahket! Several different groups showed up in the city at nearly the same time and took advantage of the void left by the Hand of Darkness. They are now an unshakable presence in the city for better or worse... Some of the ninja clans are fairly exclusive in who they allow to join while others are already comprised of mostly locals trained in their exotic and mystical traditions.

1. How did you become recruited into a ninja clan? (grew up in a foreign training center? mysterious offer from an someone you knew? crossed over from another job/faction?)
2. What sort of Ninja skills were you trained in? (weapons, poison, theft, stealth, magic, disguise, marital arts, deception... or something unique to take advantage of your other skills?)
3. What does your clan do? ... at least what are you aware of what they do? (just a different spin on the Hand of Darkness with theft, extortion and assassinations? gather information and take secret missions for your shadowy leaders without questions? slowly infiltrate important city positions thorough impersonation or marrying/seducing nobles and bureaucrats? fight a shadow war against someone/thing worse?)
4. Where to you live/sleep/stay? (Clan barracks? on the street as part of your disguise? with your dimwitted and unsuspecting paramour? with whoever your master tells you?)
5. Show a scene of you practicing your specialty. (hunting mice with your shuriken, sneaking in and out of City Guard outposts and stealing their food or personal trinkets, studying ancient texts, books of magic or strategy, flirting with yourself in a mirror until you get that look perfect...)

1. Your loyalty is tested, on purpose or by accident. How do you perform? (you find an assigned mission distasteful or don't understand its purpose? you find a contradiction in your teachings? you find a wondrous magic item/treasure that you wish to keep instead of giving to your master(s)? you accidentally fall for your current assignment?)
2. What is a repercussion of number 1? (prove yourself 100% loyal and reap the rewards/earn respect? live with guilt/fear that you might be found out? find a new reserve of power to do what you have to that makes you stronger?)
3. Do you really know who you work for? (Your clan leaders are charismatic and deal directly with its members? Your leader delivers shadowy instructions through shadowy creatures and you have no clue who or what they are? You have only viewed your leader from a crowd where they showed themselves to be something... else... a demon, a god, an important courtier, a prophetic child?)
4. Are you all about your clan or do you enjoy something else? (eat/work/breath/train/repeat? have a calming hobby such as gardening, cooking, smithing or dancing? secretly a double/triple agent?)
5. Another thief interferes with your current job/mission, how do you deal with or recover from this? (a Hand of Darkness assassin takes out your target before you? A Golden Paw thief moves in on your fictional life and steals your important spouse for themselves? A mysterious tomb robber seems to have it out for you for reasons unknown?)
