The Hissing Forest

The Hissing Forest was a notorious woods north of Crux. It was a bit of a no-Sphinx land between the territory claimed by the city and touching serpent territory on one side and werewolf territory on the other... A few Shadowlords have attempted to claim this forest as their own but have never been able to hold it, often just seeming to give up and leave with no explanation. It is also know to be a place where one can meet travelers and make trades with the Rani or creatures banned from Crux... especially deals that would not be allowed within the city proper. There were reputed to be many decrepit buildings and abandoned trails where settlers have failed to prosper in these woods.

The masked female snarled from under her hood which at first sounded menacing but she was just clearing her throat. "He must be stopped. It is as simple as that" she said to the small crowd gathered just outside of the Rani camp. The circle of wagons were all shuddered and only a few armed Sphinxes moved about the camp freely. "I have no prize or reward for your deeds but perhaps doing what is right and helping stop this monsters rampage will be reward enough?" The stranger, with her gravelly voice paused in thought before continuing. "Please remember that he might not be in control of himself and, if you can, please show compassion when he is found. Whether you can capture him or end him swiftly, just do not let him escape again... his change will be complete in only a few more days and then it will be too late!"



To enter this game simply post a Sphinx you own in this thread with a phrase like "I'll help in the search!"

This is a dangerous game and the Sphinxes who enter it may get harmed or changed so be careful who you enter!

After I make a post in this thread that says 'You may begin searching' you may choose one part of the map to search using the grid codes (a letter and a number). I will post (or PM in a few cases) if anyone found anything.

You may only make one guess a round and you may not edit. If two people post the same number only the first one there wins the prize. You may make other posts in this thread (asking questions or roleplaying posts) but only one guess per round.

Approximately every half hour to an hour I will post "You may search again" and everyone may search one more part of the map. ...and so on.

Latecomers may still join the game but your first turn must be spent with your intro post ("I'll help in the search!"). You may start guessing the next round.

You may only win one TYPE of prize but other than that there is no limit to the prizes you may win. (ie. you may only win one of the same type of pet, or one Sphinx but you may win 2 different pet types and a Sphinx...)

If someone finds a second prize of the same type the prize will move to another random spot that may or may not have been guessed.
