For Shira-hime.

Abu wanders in, his green eyes scanning the crowd. It had been awhile since he'd participated in a Heb, but if he remembered correctly (aka if I remember correctly) he'd been one of the bachelor's auctioned off one year. He was still scarred from all the cat-calling. He shuddered at the memory.


For Isobel.

Nemesis and Damon wandered in. Nemesis' wild eyes scanned everyone gathered, looking for vampires as well as interesting folks to speak with. (She's a bit hyper.)


Melinoe takes Greg's paw, getting up slowly and shaking herself. "I'm okay, my silly human isn't very nice though. How are you?" she smiles brightly, her new top fluttery a bit in the breeze.


Shira-hime: *she blinks noticing the green colored Magician, then noticing him shudder she considers then lets out a soft whistle causing Haku to land and sit as she shifts her harp and begins to strum it playing a soothing melody watching the magician to see if it caught his attention since she had always found music to help..and was hoping to help those around with it *


Isobel: *was cleaning off the water that had been dumped on her and muttering about various punishments she could use on Kurai before accidentally droping her crystal ball which rolls, probably catching the light..and possibly the eye of those looking for something interesting...* (fate ?XD)


 Gregory: *he offers a smile* ahh..im sorry.. mines...a wolf..well human wolf I think... and chaotic... im doing well! love your new outfit by the way *he compliments*

Abubakar hears a harp playing, and glances over to first see a playful butterfly cat, which was intriguing enough considering how rare they were. He marveled at the creature for a moment, but then his gaze shifted to quite possibly the most beautiful creature he had ever laid eyes on. She (Shira) had striking blue eyes, a magnificent poofy white tail, cute little pointed ears, and long icy-colored hair. For a moment, his jaw dropped. Quickly realizing she could be looking, he composed himself and as if completely against his will, he began walking towards this mysterious woman.

Nemesis, who was wearily eyeing the crowded festival, noticed something shiny. 'Vampire!' her minded screamed. However, upon closer investigation she noticed that it was merely a strange, crystal ball rolling towards her a Damon. Damon playfully lunged at it, almost shattering the crystal ball before Nemesis swooped it out of his reach with her paws. "No, no! Bad boy!" she yelled sternly, but with love for the hound. Nemesis then scanned the crowd for the owner of the mysterious crystal ball.

Melinoe giggled. "Mine is simply a mean old human." she throws a glare my way, and then smiles brightly at the compliment. "You like it? I was hoping it might help me attract a job as a Medium or a Paw Reader," her voice got quieter, and excited, "or maybe even a FORTUNE TELLER." Fortune Telling was Melinoe's dream job, and she wasn't going to rest until she achieved that job.

Haku: *starts mewing and purring along to the tune after a moment*

Shira-hime gains a small smile noticing the green magician (Abubakar ) approaching, she had closed her eyes a moment mentally checking her tune so she had missed the jaw drop,her tail swishes a bit as she deftly plays her harp

Haya-ji: *watches sentinel like protective but not threatening since he was just keeping an eye not trying to scare people away from the caroler*


Isobel: gah! *notices her crystalball had rolled away from her* drat it should have brought the stand or left it in my room... *she scans quickly hefting herself upward a bit onto her back legs looking for the shine of the crystal an ear twitches as she hears someone yelling about a bad boy part of her considered ignoring it but the slight hum of her sense makes her turn and bound over likely into the vampire hunter's view as she scans for her crystal ball* please don't let it get broken...*she pads along the blinks as she notices Nemesis holding her crystal ball..since whom else's could it be? she hadn't see any other fortunetellers after all and bounds over* Hey! I think you found my crystal ball..*she says easily scanning the female sphinx and the hound carefully quickly recognizing the outfit*


Gregory: *he smiles sympathetically* im sorry that that is the case, and yes I do! it looks great on you ^.^ im sure youl get your chance MEl ! *he says confidently and surely*

Abubakar walked straight up to this new, beautiful Sphinx. "Your music is quite beautiful," he said simply, smiling his handsome smile. He barely noticed her rare pets, and he hadn't taken his eyes off of her the entire walk over.

Nemesis gave Isobel a curious glance, carefully extending the crystal ball out in her direction. "Damon thought it was a toy, but it must be yours. I certainly have no use for it. I've never understood the concept..." Nemesis trailed off, realizing she might sound rude. She was still on edge from the near-accident with the crystal ball and the portal that had been releasing vampires all over the land.

Melinoe grinned, her white teeth exposed. "I'm glad you like it! My human may be a bit insensitive, but at least she has fairly decent taste in clothing." Melinoe winks, and continues talking excitedly. "I really hope so. I would just die if I had to wait a WHOLE ENTIRE year to become one, but I suppose it would be worth the wait even if I did. I really think I would be quite good at it." She gasps. "Oh no, I'm rambling, aren't I?"

Shira-hime:*she smiles continuing to strum her harp as she replies in a gentle happy voice* Thank you.. I love to play music..its soothing and I find it helps calm those around me.. *she swishes her tail* my name is Shira-hime..my attempting to sing kitty is Haku *she casts a amused smile at the mewing and purring winged cat* and that's Haya-ji..*she indicates with her tail the wolf* if you have a song request id be happy to try and oblige ..im not a musician but im learning some non-carols *she says gently not asking his name so he didn't feel pressured into doing so, while giving him an opening to talk on music if he was interested, though if he merely wanted to listen she didn't mind..*


Isobel: *accepts the crystal ball back letting out a relieved sigh* thank you..heh..yeah it is rather the right size to be confused as a shiny toy..but indeed its mine.. I forgot the stand I usually secure it to when im out and about after I had water dumped on me whilst I was asleep...*she blinks a bit then lets out a laugh* Well I don't know if its the same for all or not... I know certain people use fake crystal balls to act like they are fortuntellers.. its not so simple though..for me atleast its a focus..and a way to not have splitting headaches and to actually be able to look into reflective surfaces without having a vision...its an outlet if you would *she explains idly rolling the ball between her paws* sometimes the visions are horrific enough without being suddenly immersed in them entirely...*she offers a grin adjusting the orb so it somewhat reflected the area to the sides and almost completely behind Isobel* plus good way to keep an eye behind oneself.. *her tail swishes* Im Isobel Etteilla by the way,


Gregory: *he laughs lightly* good to know! *he grins listening amused and completely fine with her rambling* id hope not! then id have no one to talk to really *he comments about the die if she had to wait a whole year, then breaks down in laughter offering her a grin* its fine! I don't mind, though I am going to point out some things are worth the wait and struggle right? I say that since I know someone who spent four or was it five? years trying for the same job before she got it and shes said it was worth the wait. *he comments honestly* and im sure youl be great at it Mel!

Abubakar closed his eyes, listening to the beautiful music Shira-hime was playing for him. "Very soothing," Abu murmured, flicking his tail happily. "I'm Abubakar, though you may call me Abu. May I call you Shira?" He hoped that was okay, and hoped shortening her name wouldn't offend her. He thought about a song he might like to hear, extending a paw to attempt to pet Haku. "Perhaps could you try 'Just the Way You Are'?" Abu asked, not sure about his song choice. He blushed a bit.

Nemesis listened to Isobel talk about her visions, but still keeping one eye out for dangerous vampires. "That sounds quite exhausting. If you'd like, you could try my fortune?" Nemesis smiled, then frowned realizing she'd not introduced herself. "I'm Nemesis, and my silly hound here is Damon. I'm sorry he tried to destroy your crystal ball. He just likes to play, unless of course you're a vampire." Nemesis looked uneasy, checking her new friend for pointy fangs. "But it looks like you won't get eaten today." Nemesis laughed.


Melinoe smiled brightly. "Well, I could definitely wait, BUT I might just die if it's too long" She giggled. "Perhaps my human's baking skills can land me the job upgrade. I know I'd be just great at it, if only I could prove my worth to the others." She realized she was rambling about herself again. "So, what have you been up to?"

Shira-hime: *she smiles happily then hmms* Abu.. *she tries the shortened form then nods at the shortening of her own* Shira is fine *she smiles brightly* "Just the way you are?" iv heard it but haven't tried playing it on my harp..but I think I can do so.. sorry if the tunes off *she says smiling before stretching her paws a moment adjusting her grip on her harp and testing a couple notes before beginning to strum the tune of the requested song, it was a slower paced tune than the original song before she softly begins to sing the lyrics as well which matched the slower tune since she was used to singing carols not more upbeat songs.. her voice was very clear and gentle she was smiling a bit while singing not overly taking ntoe of the blush since she didn't want to embarrass him if it was because he thought his song choice would be something to be embarrassed on*

Haku: *he maos and paws at Abubakar paw purring and nuzzles happy for attention*



Isobel: *she nods* it is very...not to mention how some react to finding out ill fortunes...its part of why I ended up here actually.. *she mumbles then blinks studying Nemesis carefully* you sure youd wish to know? *her voice had become somewhat more serious as she studies the vampire hunter her tail flicking* I cannot promise that what I see and thus will tell, will be good... *she tilts her head* well I Could but I already have enough troubles than ill karma or what not for probably lying..the future is a fluid thing..but knowing something may also create that path *she says eerily, then ndos easilyt* it is nice to meet you Nemesis..and Damion.. *she says easily tail flicking* hnn..well he didn't do so so..no harm no foul..and honestly the fact I forgot the stand is strange..perhaps it was meant to occur..perhaps not.. *she says simply with a shrug waving off the apology as not really being needed then gains an amused look* im not a vampire..and I don't particularly intend to become one unless im killed by a werewolf..then ill come back Just to spite them..though if that is the case id hope youd hold off on the staking until id done so.. *she jokes dryly not really meaning it since she intended to live a very very long time...* and good to know..i was Really not in the mood to start running again...



Gregory: *he chuckles lightly amused by the rambling and not stoping her* I see..and I hope you have that luck! *he smiles brightly* and im sure you would be Mel! and youl get there.. just don't worry too much about what others think and strive to prove your worth to yourself.. *he advises then blinks and rubs the back of his neck* Well.. my wolf-human has gotten a few new tenants..iv been trying to manage to learn there names and maybe become friendly with them enough so no heads roll.. and the normal chaos of the home with a few ninjas and weapon wielding sphinxes around.. *he says sheepishly* newest tenant is a demon so that's..interesting.. haven't had the chance to work on my job yet..but I will at some point soon I hope..

Abubakar pets Haku, giving the butterfly kitten belly rubs. "It's lovely to meet you, Shira, you play quite beautifully." His blush slowly faded away and he tapped one paw in time with the music. After he regained his composure, he began singing along in a deep voice with Shira. Her playing was so lovely, and "Just the Way You Are" was one of his favorite songs. "You have a beautiful voice," he complimented. "And I love this song," he added, then began singing along with Shira again. He stopped petting Haku and singing, deciding do perform a little magic. Out of thin air, he made a bouquet of snow white flowers appear and laid them down in front of Shira, offering them to her with a warm smile.

Nemesis smiled at the serious tone Isobel had when speaking about Nemesis' fortune. "I think I'm up for it, even if it does end up being bad news. Honestly, I don't think I've ever met a fortune teller. And it would be interesting to learn what you have to tell me." Nemesis blinked her blue pupiless eyes slowly. "Though I do hope my fortune isn't being killed off by those foul vampires. If you ever were to become one of those evil creatures, I would do my best to avoid having to stake you so long as you didn't try to attack me." Nem looked thoughtful for a moment. "That is my job, however. As is your job to tell one's fortune for better or for worse." Damon playfully tried to get the crystal ball from Isobel, not meaning to be a bother. He just couldn't help himself around shiny balls.

Melinoe heaved a sigh of relief. "I'm glad you don't mind my ramblings! I'm a bit prone to outbursts, especially when it comes to Fortune Telling." She smiled brightly, her blue and green eyes twinkling with interest at Greg. "Remind me again what you wanted your job to be? Or was it that you hadn't decided?" Melinoe smiled sheepishly, "I really need to work on my memory before I try for a job telling fortunes." She laughed breezily, sitting down to relax.

Shira-hime: *smiles while singing when he joins in replying to the compliment during a instrument point* thank you..you sing wonderfully also.. *she easily continues the song blinking when he used magic, but, despite the surprise manages to not lose her place gaining a small blush as she smiles her fluffy tail swishing happily and as the song ended shed smile brightly and speak* thank you ^.^ they are lovely flowers

Haku: *purrs happily at the bellyrubs and when the attention stops e pouts giving big watery eyes*

Haya-ji : *nudges Haku disrupting the watery eyes effect as the cat flutters to stay upright, the wolf blinks raising a brow slightly at the flowers...


Isobel: *lifts the crystal ball out of reach using a paw to pat Damon on the head before focusing on Nemesis* I see...very well... *she looks amused* we aren't very common..especially good ones who wont give you a spiel about your true lvoes initals or such... *she tilts her head considering the comment* Technically its a high possibility that t some point that would occur... *she points out* nature of your job..jsut as mine can lead me to being chased from towns..*she was just pointing out that there was a higher chance than other ways of dying for a vampire hunter, she looks amused nodding* that is appreciated... and I can say id be very unlikely to attack you long as I wasn't defending myself... id mostly if that were the case, have probably come back for a "bite" of revenge.. *she puns dryly* and understandable..and true enough...*she flicks her tail moving her crystal ball to eye level as she focused her eyes seeming to become glassy as she focused on the crystal ball, after a minute of silence shed blink a bit tilting her head brow furrowed her eyes having returned to normal as she rolls the crystal ball between her paws making sense of her vision as best she could to give a concise fortune...* hmm....


Gregory: *he smiles happily* its understandable! your excited at the prospects.. *he blinsk then grins sheepishly* I think we had talked about how I seemed like a wizard or magician perhaps I believe? *he blinks then chuckles* im sure you have a great memory Mel! but I do believe a lot happened around the time we were talking about jobs.. *he stretches then sprawls slightly lounging*

Abubakar smiles happily, enjoying the beautiful song. "Thank you, ma'am. And no problem. They're not quite as beautiful as you, but I thought you'd like them." He blushes lightly, and offers a small sheepish smile. Suddenly, Nashwa runs in. "Daddy, daddy! I thought I lost you! I want to enjoy the music with you!" The cub smiles, hugging her father. Abu blushes even harder. "Um, Shira this is Nashwa, my daughter," - he had planned to tell Shira about Nashwa differently - "Nashwa, this is Shira. She's a Caroler." He momentarily forgot about poor Haku's belly rubs and was very nervous about his daughter running in.

Nemesis bounces on her back legs, nervously anticipating her fortune. She becomes curious at the comment about being chased from towns. "Now, why would you get chased from towns? I only kill vampires when they're threatening others generally. Or if we're having a particularly bad problem with certain vampires. I do hunt those problem vamps out. Nasty creatures, they are. I don't try to confront them unless it's necessary as part of the job, but then...well...you know what happens." Nemesis blinks her pupiless eyes and shuts up while Isobel tries to get her reading from the crystal ball so as to not disturb the process.

Melinoe smiles brightly. "Ah, yes. Fortune Telling is extremely exciting. I know a Magician! He lives with me and my human. His name is Abu, and he does some very interesting magic. Although, personally, for you, I think I would go with being a Wizard." Melinoe nods, confirming her own words. "That is true that a lot happened. Heb festivals are very exciting."

Shira-hime: *she smiles her cheeks tinting a bit at the compliment* ^.^ I love them.. I have a soft spot for flwoers *she admits happily then blinks as the cub runs in and stifles a light giggle as Abu blushes more then offers Nashwa a bright smile* Hello, its nice to meet you Nashwa.. *she notes Nashwa's look before scanning a moment to see if there was someone coming with similar traits to the cub ..she was a little sad that Abu probably had a amte but didn't show it instead fluffing her tail with a smile before breaking into a giggle as she notices Haku's reaction to the lack of attention..*

Haku: *being the apparent dramatic sort the feather cat stays on his back wings sprawled out a paw extending out towards Abu and NAshwa with a mournful mew and big watery eyes as though to say why am I always forgotten? *

Isobel : er....not everyone accepts a bad fortune well...I was chased through the portal to here by a bunch of werewolves... *she admits careful to not reveal much on the fortune shed given previously...though she did still need to get back at the werewolves..but shed deal with that later..she nods easily* Good to know....and indeed I can guess what happens.. *after the reading she considers*...im not Entirely certain what some of the thigns I saw were im afraid... my presumption is they are from around here not LAmoria..but...well I Think its a good fortune..im uncertain how soon or far in the future.. *she says calmly before tucking her crystal ball carefully meeting Nemesis's eyes* Gold Statues are within your future icons to Lady Isis, the ocean plays a role to your future for one who is in your future for a statue is a daughter of the sea,.. another statue is oddly..blurred for me.. and im uncertain to what that could mean.. *she admits giving the fortunetell though it was a little shorter than shed have liked.. the Seeing had cut off oddly..as though shed tried to divine her own future perhaps..but she wasn't mentioning that, rather perplexed since it could be something else...*


Gregory: *he nods* yeah..though Isobel said something about always be ready to move and run incase of a bad fortune? *he blinks listening and nods* ahh....ok! and ill try for Wizard *he smiles* suppose itl be chance a bit in that.....*he nods* very! and apparently they can go very peculiar, im excited to see what happens! ^.^

Nashwa smiles at the pretty white Sphinx. "It's nice to meet you, miss." She giggles, then adds quickly, "You're pretty![/b]

Abubakar sighs slightly with relief that Nashwa didn't say anything silly and was polite like he'd taught her. "Shira, what is your favorite flower?" he asks. "Nashwa here loves daisies." No mate came in behind Nashwa. The little cub had been on her own, and her mother and father were not together. They had simply had a fling and Nashwa was born. Abubakar wanted to explain, but it wasn't proper with his daughter around to speak of such adult things.

Nashwa's eyes lit up when she saw Haku. "AWWW! Kitty!" She grabbed the feather cat up and squeezed him lightly, petting his head.

Nemesis nodded. "Hm, well then I guess they don't understand that fortunes are fortunes and you can merely read them, not change them." Her eyes widened at the mention of werewolves. "I'm glad I'm a vampire hunter. Vampires are nasty critters, but werewolves are just plan scary! Never know if you're killing an animal or a were-Sphinx, you see. At least they tend to dislike vampires as much as I do." Nemesis listened intently to Isobel's fortune telling. "So, does that mean marriage?" Her eyes widened, but it was slightly less noticeable because she lacked pupils. She pondered this. Hmm, marriage, I hadn't thought about that. I wonder who it could be. "What does two statues mean?" Nemesis didn't know much about statues. She really hadn't thought much about marriage. She usually stuck to her work.

Melinoe looked perplexed. "Hm, well, that doesn't sound like much fun. However, if it's part of the job, I suppose I'm down." Melinoe smiled her pretty smile, which seemed mostly plastered to her face when Greg was around. "I think being a Wizard would be really cool. Plus, then we would both have rather magical jobs." She giggled. "Perhaps this Heb you might find a job. I hope I do as well."

Shira-hime: ^.^ thank you..your very pretty as well *she compliments with a gentle smile, then titls her head at the question seeming to ponder* my favorite flower? umm I like Amarylis , lilies and roses *she admits she ntoes the lack of a mate coming up.. she didn't comment on it incase it was a upsetting thing, she blinks then giggles when Nashwa saw Haku and grabbed him up*

Haku: *meow happily purring his wings folding so they weren't messed up when he got picked up, he happily rubs his head into her paw purring much louder than one would think such a lithe kitty should be able to produce*


Isobel: *she nods* most don't see it that way.. *she agrees simply then chortles at the werewolf bit* point... and true enough.. but I have a sore spot on weres right now...lost my carriage *she frowns slightly remembering her protable home then shakes her head, then blinks at the marriage bit*..I Think so? I saw statues to Isis.. I would presume romance.. *she flicks her tail*...I would guess most likely.. two mates yes? that isn't an overly odd custom here no?.....*she says idly*


Gregory: Maybe I can protect you when I become a wizard or magician? *he offers* before then..i could see if I can learn to sue a weapon if youd want a bodyguard? *he offers mentally facepawing since he didn't want to come off as being overly attached..* er..if youd want me to I mean... *he chuckles nodding his tail swishing* true! magic is a great thing *he smiles then titls his ehad* maybe so... im keeping an eye out but.. more listening to see if paw reader is offered so you can follow your dream *he smiles*

Abubakar smiled at Shira's compliment to his daughter. It was always a good sign when a woman was good to your children. Nashwa said, "Thank you, miss!" She continued cooing at Haku. "You're such a pretty kitty! Yes, you areee." She petted the kitten head and scratched lightly around his chin and ears. Abubakar laughed deeply. "Well, it seems she likes Haku. What's that behind you ear!?" Abubakar said, acting scared. He then reached up and pulled a single lily from behind Shira's ear. Acting relieved, Abu said, "Whew, it was only this lovely flower..."

Nemesis agreed with Isobel, "I don't like weres much myself, but I dislike vampires more." She nods, confirming both the beastly types were horrible. "I don't think statues of Isis are used for anything else," Nemesis stated, thinking carefully. "And since I can't very well marry myself, I would imagine I'd have to have a mate." She smiled, thinking. "Are you sure you saw me?" Nemesis questioned, doubtful. Of course, Isobel was a fortune teller, so she surely knew what she saw.

Mel's eyes lit up with excitement. "Oh, that's an excellent idea! We could be a team. I could give fortunes and you could poof me away if anything went wrong and entertain the clients with magic! Oh, that would be so wonderful!" Her eyes looked dreamy, thinking about the future. "Of course I'd want you, too! That would be so exciting!" She smiled brightly. "I really hope we both get our dream jobs."

Shira-hime:*she smiles nodding to Nashwa letting out a soft giggle as she coos over Haku smiling warmly, she nods to Abu* seems so..and he certainly loves attention so hes ecstatic im sure.... *she blinks a bit* huh? o.o *her tail puffs out more revealing that she probably had to style it to get it to not look too bad...since now it was reminiscent of a peacock sized bunny tail with how puffed it had become..then she blinks a bit when he pulls at lily out and puffs her cheeks a bit as her tail de-fluffs but her eyes sparkled with amusement she appreciated a good joke or prank,she laughs lightly* That's good, I was worried Haya-ji missed something *she giggles innocently*

Haku: *purrs loudly cuddling happily his tail twitching in happiness*

Haya-ji: *snorts at the idea that hed miss something, though admittedly hed gotten a little worried when Abu had acted scared..*


Isobel: True...and indeed...two perhaps in this... *she gains a tiny frown* I scryed your future, and at least one version of your fate leads to two mates, perhaps all paths, or perhaps the one was harder to scry because one mate is more likely than the other... *she brushes through a bit of her hair* if I scry someone directly its there fate I see a path of.. if I end up scrying someone else while directing a scry on someone else I wouldn't be a very good fortuneteller would I? *she seemed a little bit indignant by the doubt, though considering she apparently had a lot of times she had been chased from towns and such for her work and ability...she likely had to have the surety of her "gift" to stand by..* you and two statues.. now the future can be strange..so it could indicates two paths with a mate..or that your path will lead to two mates, it Felt more towards both statues rather than one or the other. *she admits before beginning the rub the crystal ball of a dirty area..*


Gregory: *he nods with a small smile* exactly.,.. and very true, it would be easy to entertain I think..*he nods then blinks and smiles lightly* im glad! and im sure we will get there Mel, You will be a great Fortuneteller, and ill be the best Wizard I can be. *he promises*
