This is starting early so you can have your baskets ready for tomorrow. ^_^ One of the May Day traditions is May Baskets! Typically they are made with flowers and sometimes treats/sweets. Then the person who made the basket leaves it at somebody's door, knocks and runs away. It's and anonymous present. So for this contest, which we're not giving you much time for, you decorate your May Day basket for tomorrow! You must use the template below to decorate. (It's the same image from a few years ago, so for those who participated in that contest you can't reuse the one from the previous contest. Make a new one.) Post a picture of the sphinx who is making the basket, the image of your decorated basket, a little RP note about them leaving it on the doorstep, and the image of the sphinx they are giving it to. (The second sphinx put into the entry is just for fun so somebody can see who your sphinx was gifting to.) It doesn't need to be in any particular order. We will pick our favourite as a winner, and everybody who enters will be put into a random draw for a second award of the same prize. (the prize will be revealed tomorrow since it's a new item.) You have until 18:00 UTC May 1rst to post your entries.

Gave it my best shot with a laptop touchpad XD Merlin tip toes up to Arthurs door, looking left and right to ensure none of the courtiers are around to see him, before slowly, lovingly, placing down the may basket he had prepared for him. With sunflowers, bluebelles, and Arthur's favourite sweets, Merlin hoped, despite its messy presentation, that Arthur would appreciate his gift. Before he could be spotted, Merlin made himself scarce, not noticing that Arthur had opened the door just as he turned his back, and was looking at Merlin's retreating back with a small smile.

{rainbow flower, night lily, balloon, bat, butterfly and kitty pets, candy and a bag of money, {Stolen of course} *pads up to the doorstep of the one called Salana. Kasha had been admiring this beauty for quite some time, and now was her chance to show her. Beltane was coming up, and gifts were flying freely around Khemet, but Kasha had gone out of her way to make this basket unique, and special. She hoped to prove to the lovely Salana that her affections were worthy. Kasha fluffed the basket, arranged it to perfection, and finally sighed and padded away.* *If we are not allowed to use another person's sphinx I can change this!*

Amun knew he was taking a shot with the basket, but he did wish to win over the lovely Priestess. So with a little thought, he put together a basket for Liluna. In it was a jar of hot cocoa mix, some lilacs, and some scented candles, as well as some mistletoe and a lovely cat faced necklace. Granted it wasn't all that much, but he hoped it would show her that he had a caring heart. Making his way to wear she lived, he slipped up to the door and placed the basket there. 'Fluffing' the lilacs, he made sure all was right, smiled and with a breath, he knocked on her door quickly, then turned tail and ran to hide, but once in a spot that he could not be seen, he peered to watch to see her reaction to the gift.

Akela put the last item in her basket and then looked down at her cat Ai. "Alright, Ai, where should we take our basket," she asked with a satisfied smile. She loved Beltane and was hoping that by making up a basket for the holiday, she would garner some good luck for the festival. Ai looked at her with piercing eyes before trotting off towards the door with Akela close behind her. After weaving through the streets for several minutes, Ai stopped and sat down outside a particular doorway. "Here," Akela asked as she sat down her basket. "I think this is a great idea! I heard the new priestess that lives here is getting married soon, so she's the perfect person to give our basket to!" Akela quickly knocked on the door before bolting around the corner. A moment later, Kema came to the door and opened it. "Oh, what's this," she asked the lovely cat still perched on her doorstep. The cat, of course, didn't answer, but she picked up the basket anyway and brought it inside. It was a lovely random surprise!

Thyra crept ever so quietly to the door. She knew that she was tempting fate. This handsome sphinx already had beloved wives. But she could not help herself. She had maybe drank a little to much wine and it have given her a little curage. She had made a small stuffed toy dragon, A lovely roasted turkey leg. Gotten a lovely bottle of wine. and a small collection of treasure. She put it all in a basket and left it hastily by his door. She had a little more then a crush on the part dragon Sphinx. He reminded her so much of her long dead husband. Oh what she would give for just one single day, or more like evening, with him. She hick upped and then dashed away. In the morning Kezzar would find:

Ammelia hummed happily to herself as she eyed her basket full of spring blooms. She loved flowers and she loved her goddess so wanted to do something extra special for her. The moon was still up in the sky as she snuck back tot he enclave to finish assembling her basket. Only the guards that she had passed knew she was awake and Ammelia had ot be careful not to tip off the cannith twins. She loved her little 'nieces' but they could easily teleport back and ruin the surprise! Ammelia gingerly set her basket full of blooms on her bed. She then carefully took a little white kitten plushie and placed it in the center. To the other side lavender sprigs and berry cookies--a favourite among everyone--piled high--baked only a few hours before. The scent of the fresh spring blooms filled the entire room as Ammelia weaved lilac and daisy chains around the basket edge. Buttercups and hydrangea and tulips and lily of the valley lay neatly, tied with a deep purple ribbon. She used the extra ribbon she had to weave a line through the basket and make a pretty bow. 'There', she quietly mused, Everything represents new growth. I cant believe the flowers are out already! Hope she isn't up yet.' The tiny female quietly crept over to Clare, the warship the Canniths were currently sleeping on. She tiptoed to the room and gently placed the basket on the table by the bedside before leaving the room without a sound. Smugly she smiled as she headed back to her own room. The first rays of sun beamed against her pale skin and the violet streak in her hair glowed and sparkled, dancing with the rays. It was at that instant she knew that her goddess had woken up to the basket she had carefully crafted.

Aanekhtou didn't quite know why he felt like doing this, although it was certainly much easier than actually talking to the sphinx in question. Besides, she already had two husbands. What would she want with a third? Nevertheless, he found himself outside a certain door, carrying a basket of flowers. With considerable trepidation, he set the basket down, gave two quick knocks and was gone before anyone could answer. When Mayjora opened her door that morning, she would find the basket he'd left. Whether or not she would ever find out he'd left it was another matter entirely...

It was by chance that Luthis came to overhear the practise of a gift basket. He pondered deeply about the gesture, and his mind lingered to a very special woman in particular. A small smile spread on his lips as he set out to fill his basket. Fresh milk, cream, eggs and bread. A folded cloth and all the flowers he could find on such short notice. Some fresh ink and papyrus, and all the poetic effort he could muster, went into a poem describing the beauty he believed she was. Now to sneak it onto her doorstep, not an easy task to sneak on such a skilled archer, but try he will!

A large bug flaps its wings as hard as it can carrying the basked in it's front legs carefully. Placing it down on the step and tilts his head looking back and forth. gently he moves some of the gems to better catch the light and when it looks just right he flew into the door to knock against it twice. Felling a little dizzy it flutters off around the corner to await the owner of the house to retrieve his gift. The door opens to revile a cute female thief hidden around the corner Amin changes back and watches with a sad smile wounding if she would like his gift
