Zahra has needed to be extra careful this Beltane. Instead of taking a litter to the courtier's home where her beloved triplets lived, she'd walked through the darkened streets of the city. Granted it was the noble's quarter to begin with and guards regularly patrolled the areas but still, she liked the slight thrill sneaking about gave her. A smile playing upon her lips as she found the door of the house and then went around to one of the bedroom windows. Fabrics softly blowing with a the cooling breeze of tonight. She moved to stand on just her hind legs and peeked into the room she knew belonged to her daughters. Brushing aside the curtains as she spied on all three curled on their beds, sleeping soundly.
"My peaceful angels.." she whispered, "Mommy loves you.." Before silently maneuvering the heavy basket over window sill and onto the ground just inside their window. A papyrus note had been attached and it simply read, "Enjoy my angels. Happy Beltane. -Momma"
Her basket delivered she took off once more, eager to return to the palace and to soak her paw pads before going to bed. Weaving the basket had taken her alot longer then she'd anticiated and some of the reeds she'd dried had actually left punctures in her pads. But that didn't matter now, she'd gotten to sneak the gifts to the girls. Hopefully they'd enjoy their flowers, lamb plush toys and their personal favorite cakes from the royal kitchens.
