Small RL Rant.

Okay so I don't have to rewrite it, I just posted this on Face Book. Just a rant that totally has me utterly sick at heart.

Okay Friends and Family, I have to get this out as it just pisses me off. There is a person at my sweet Step Daughter's school that needs to get his job utterly taken from him. I am so done with this person. My sweet 19 year old Special needs Daughter has an Aid at her school that is teaching her things that are past inappropriate. My Lovely Step daughter Lives with her mom and goes to Riverside University High School in Milwaukee, WI This Aid decided to say things to her like I want to adopt you and we can live together and all this stuff. She is 19 and special needs. She believed him. He claim it was just 'Jokingly'. Her mom called the school and made a big deal and they said they would 'Handle' it. He is still there. Somehow he still is in her class. Today I get a call from her mother saying that another student has over heard him telling My impressionable 19 year old, To say a rather offensive word and that Black people are evil and bad. And to tell everyone that her mother told her to say it.

Now we have been fighting her on this word for a while. As she claims to have heard it at school from other students and such. Riverside has many black students and my Step daughter and her mother have friends that are black. So of course all this is confusing for her. She lives in Milwaukee, WI. There are many people of all nationalities there and we have never been Raciest. She does not understand. He needs to be dealt with. The school has been spoken with and again Claims they will do something about it. She will be looking into a new school for next year. I am just past livid. At this person. And at this school that seems not to take care of things. I do not know if any of you have students there, friends there, Or know of someone in that school. But this is unacceptable. I do not complain or make big posts like this. But I am livid and past my point with this.I want this past around. I want him known. I worry for my sweet Laurana and I worry for other students in his care there. Please share this. Let others know. Laurana says his name is Mr. Sherman and he is an Aid.

*huge hugs* This is beyond words. I don't understand how someone can sleep at night thinking its ok to manipulate someone like that ><

I was going to say--I would pull her out of that school faster then you can say 'bye!' I would also get the media involved with that school. Enough is enough.

The one thing I worry about is her routine being messed up for awhile. Is it possible to temporarily homeschool?

We tried homeschool one year and it didn't work well, she is a social person. But, she is changing schools come next school year. As she has to go till she is 21. Luckily the school year is nearly up. And her mom did say she may be keeping her home this week. I posted on facebook hoping it gets shared everywhere. And she is contacting a lot of different people on this. It just totally had me raging.

This person needs to be reported ASAP to any and all social service agencies you can think of. I would also consider contacting the Department of Children and Families, your local Aging and Disability Resource Center, your city or county Equal Opportunities Division, and the Department of Public Instruction. Even if he doesn't work at a public school now, that doesn't mean he won't try to in the future, and they should have his name on file.

Someone making racist statements like that and trying to manipulate a vulnerable person does not belong anywhere near a position of responsibility or authority, ever, period, end of story.
