So, hopefully this is ok to post here because I got a kick out of it and Moophles did too when I showed her.
Spring Strava is happening on PI and one of the writing contests is to design a rainbow or monochrome pony to make into a character. I had a purr pony in mind that I hadn't named yet but has rainbow hair that I have dressed up in the items so I submitted her.
The first task is to give a blurb to describe your character. Here is what I wrote for her.
Enfys took a deep breath, looking in the mirror at herself a long moment. She was ready to go out and have fun during the celebrations, she just hoped she would be accepted. Enfys loved rainbows, her namesake thanks to the glittering rainbow horn on her head and her mane of beautiful rainbow locks, but that was near where her colorfulness ended. Her dark fur covered the majority of her body but there were small peeks of a lovely deep teal on her belly and face... not enough though that she did not at times feel out of place in celebrating brightness and joy with rainbows. Still though, she was not about to let that stop her - she was proud of who she was. With this in mind, Enfys decorated herself with her rainbow cowl and beads as well as her glowing shoes before she set out the day on her own little adventures.
TL;DR: The character knows she's been considered too dark to really fit in with a rainbow crowd a lot but she loves rainbows and embraces them (It is what her name means) so she's really looking forward to participating in the festival.
This is the response I got from the event runner: Great blurb, but this character has too much black to be considered for the rainbow category, and too much color to be considered for the grey category. I hope you're able to find or design another pony to invite.
So I'm sitting here mildly irked but more... amused and sad for my poor pony she was rejected because of the very thing she's always been rejected for in her little blurb. >.>;
Poor baby.
