Mysterious WarriorAothyia felt a nervous flutter in her chest as she lingered at the Temple of Helios, standing apart from the festivities, nestled into a corner away from the mingling crowds. Though she felt the nervousness of anticipation, her eyes scanned her surroundings calmly with a calculation that had been honed in her training. Years of blood, sweat, and tears had refined her hard work as she'd trained to become a true and proper Amazonian. With her bow strapped across her back, she was prepared for anything should the celebrations take a dangerous turn, but she certainly hoped this wouldn't be the case – she did not intend to spend these celebrations fighting. Her eyes shifted instinctively to see a figure moving toward her, her heart making a gentle pitter-patter in her chest as the female Hoplite weaved through the crowd. Her armor was glimmering and her red fur shimmered, her skin a mosaic of dark hues. Zosima’s dark eyes ate away the distance as they met Aothyia’s own, and she felt her breath catch in her lungs, so like the first time she’d seen her, many moons ago. When Aothyia had been inexperienced, clumsy – just beginning her training. Her eyes had found the grace and majesty that was Zosima, sparring among her comrades. The movements of her form had been as fluid as a winding river and downright poetic, and Aothyia had watched, gripping her bow, utterly breathless and enchanted by the female warrior. Within that moment, Aothyia had found a concrete determination to hone her skills and perfect her art as an Amazonian warrior in that she might in turn catch the eye of the glorious Hoplite as well. The burning desire to impress the other female and prove herself worthy had given her the drive to endure her training and master her skills and talents well. Though she had come to learn in time that Zosima had noticed her anyhow, before she’d become the warrior she was now. Suppose it was fate, she mused to herself as the other female came close. Destinies intertwined and such.Aothyia pressed her paw to her chest, warmth swelling in her rib cage as Zosima came to a halt before her. As the other female leaned forward, she brushed her lips across Aoythia’s cheek. “What are you doing over here all alone?” “Just waiting for you,” Aothyia replied with a secret smile, flushing. ((Featuring my lovely Zosima: ))

Mysterious Warrior
Euryleia, a runner for the Queen, scanned the temple premises in search of a prominent face. Euryleia scoffed to herself unable to locate her target. She had assumed that she had not been spotted by a soul in the vicinity of the temple, but was then caught off guard by the small voice of a child. “Woah..” The mesmerized voice spoke as it appeared to circle the Amazon warrior in a quick fashion. Euryleia turned about in a frenzy multiple times before her gaze fell on a small male child seated directly in front of her. His big purple eyes looked up as he smiled gleefully. She returned his smile until she noticed in his hands one of her pink tipped arrows. Her smile faded as she watched him pick his teeth with its sharp end. Gently, yet firmly she grasped the arrow and pried it from the young male’s paw. Continuing his gaze he stated, “Look miss, you shouldn’t be worried about me around weapons. My dad is a Spartan Warrior!” Great. A child of Sparta. In a quick fashion her gaze returned to Demi she stated, “Then I am sure your father taught you of the tale of the fox?” She knew of punishments served to young Spartans who were caught in thievery. Before she allowed the purple eyed male to respond she stated, “Let me tell you a story of my own from when I was your age.” Demi, clearly intrigued moved slightly closer to the Amazonian woman. She started, “When I was there was an initiation ritual needed to be completed in order to be accepted into the ranks of a group of prevalent youth. As part of this I was tasked to collect arrows from five of the most prominent warriors. The first four were easy enough, but when I came to the last warrior she caught me as I was taking an arrow from her quiver. In punishment the warrior took the tip of the arrow and sliced open my primary finger.” She lifted her paw and presented the scarred finger to the young male. The scar ran from the tip of her finger to her wrist. “So in the future, just be careful of who you try to deceive.” She winked at Demi and smiled as she observed his small face shocked with his mouth hanging wide open.

Mysterious Warrior
As you sit there and stare at the stoic female, an older male Sphinx approaches you with a sly grin. "I see you have eyes for Atalante."
'Who is she? Why does she just sit there? Why does she look so sad?' You ask in a blaze of questions, earning a chuckle from the old male again.
"Ah... a sad story to be sure." He sits down next to you and looks up to the vibrantly colored female. "Atalante is part of one of the Amazonian tribes that live near Phix-"
'But I thought they don't come to the cities outside trades.' You blurt out and earn a withering stare from your companion; you decide to just stop talking and listen.
He clears his throat. "As I was saying, Atalante is part of one of the Amazonian tribes that live near Phix. Now, I am an old man and I remember that six years ago during one of their trading periods with the city, a few of the younger women were allowed to go out and explore the city as they wished just to get an idea of what it was like. Now, you know young women and you know young men, my friend. Love at first sight is all that they seek and they move much too quickly with that goal in mind and often let themselves be carried away by a burst of feelings much to their own detriment.I remember the day where Atalante and some of her tribe-mates came into the temple to explore. One of these appeared to be Atalante's true sister."
"A young priest approached them to speak with them and he was obviously smitten with Atalante's sister and the feeling seemed quite mutual. The other women only remained for a little while, but Atalante and her sister remained until the wee hours of the night - so late in fact that Atalante fell asleep while her sister and the priest continued to speak long into the wee hours of the night. Upon her waking, Atalante found her sister had gone missing and the priest with her. She was distraught and searched everywhere for them to little avail. Since that day, she had remained in the city and every day she comes to the temple and sits as she is now, just waiting for her little sister to return to her. A tragic tale, my friend."

Mysterious Warrior
An edge...an arrow..a lost love.
Saharet grimaced to herself as she stared indifferently at the sphinxes below her. Such joyful happy things, oblivious to the world around them.
No.
She would not repeat the past. She will repent for her actions. She must.
The colourful female gazed at the sky, and cream like clouds of fluff drifted as silently as the tip of an arrow.
And then a morph. A face. A childs face slowly forming detail among the drifting fluff.
NO!
I will not face it! She swore to herself. I cannot!
It had been 5 seasons. She had been up in the trees on guard. Amaya... her love; her light; her kin had been wandering the cold and wilted leaves in the grove. Raised as one of them, the cub had responsibility at an early age and had tinkered in the way of the bow. But she was not as quick as the others..through speed or wit. She was curious, and was watching to see what a play-thing--a male--could do.
And so the cub watched.
Saharet had not known how close her daughter had become, but had certainly seen this play thing come closer to the grove. On her watch that snow-filled eve, he alone--or so she thought--had wandered close. Too close. Her arrow ready, its point deadly, she let it fly silently straight and true. But while in flight a flicker caught the edge of Saharet's view. A pearly blue shimmer...a golden feather..and a small frame.
The child had tinkered in the way of the bow. But she was not as quick as the others.
The tip pierced the cub through the back as she unknowingly crept into the line of fire trying to get a closer view of the male--and it cleanly came out the other end. And the male ran.
Enraged and filled with grief, the warrior let out a ear wrenching battle cry and self banished herself from her tribe.
Her love was gone. And she had betrayed them. There was nothing left.
None at all.
She had heard whispers of a child's spirit wandering the area and wondered..but did not pursue. She was not worthy. And she would not put her love through harms way again.
((hopefully this is ok. Im cutting it close so cant see if its too short/long o.@))

Diplomatic Exchange - Conclusion As the last of the applicants handed in their scolls, Adjo and the scribe retreated to a far table, where the Pharaoh could read over the entries with the help of two accompanying Egyptian scholars. Adjo had intended that the judgement would not take too long, as he knew that everyone would be anxiously waiting for his announcement and he did not wish to purposefully draw out the tension unnecessarily.
But his good intentions were waylaid by the difficulty in his choice! All four of the applicants had well written entries which included good, thoughtful points, and coming to a final decision was not easy. This was not helped by the fact that the very nature of the entries and their suggestions created a forum of debate for the scholars. Adjo had brought the two with him in order to have additional informed opinions on the entries...which they did provide in spades, along with all kinds of commentary on the state of the world, politics, and international relations. They were informative, Adjo thought, but long winded.
With a pointed clearing of this throat, Adjo brought the scholars back around to the point, asking each for their final recommendation. This incited another discussion, but it was shorter and more focused. Finally, all three nodded in agreement and Adjo returned to the dais in order to make his announcement.
"Citizens of Hellas," Adjo began, "I thank you all very much for your hospitality towards me and all the other citizens of Khemet who traveled for this wonderful Festival of Friendship. It is my hope that this event will incite even more communication and exchange between our two nations. And to help support that, we will now have the wisdom and knowledge of two new diplomats."
"This was a difficult choice, and I extend my respect and humble thanks to those who made the effort to apply. As you move forward from today, may you all be blessed by Helios and Ra!"
"It is with great pleasure that I announce Thaddeus and Euthalia as the new Ambassadors to Khemet!"
