Can I Have That?


As I'm typing this, Sphinxes are over 12 years old! There is tons and tons of cool stuff out there, costumes, hair, items, pets, stamps, backgrounds and more! Almost everything we create is meant to be shared and used again, but there is also a collection of pieces that are unique to the individual characters. A few things have also been unofficially retired for various reasons.

I'll add more notes here in the near future (and as needed!) about our philosophies and reasons about they whys and hows of some items uniqueness and how we try to make the most stuff available to the most people! There is things we wish we didn't do in the past and changes to the way we do things happen all the time depending on... lots of things!

In this thread we'll start to track what is available and what is not, as well as explaining why if needed, (-8

I've reserved a few spots in case I need to post some collections or suggestions or rules or FAQs.

I'm obsessed with Kosmina's hair (pretty much obsessed with all of her. XD) The feathers in her hair I'm pretty sure come from one of the masks. Could I get those and are they recolorable?

The feathers are a piece of this mask usually.

I ran out of time to get a few other things done... but traits, jobs, wigs and such are all up to date and complete for checking out, (-8

(Items are mostly done, but I'll get that all fixed up when we get to some shops/refashioning so I only have to do it once, then keep it up to date. (-8)

On this subject mr pooka i was actually looking for the longer version of wig earlier (I forgot what its called) and I couldn't find it in there. Or im just blind which is a possibility XD


I know its a female wig but my boy is wearing it I just didnt see it listed under the hairstyles.

The wig Tyberius is wearing is on our list of semi-retired, maybe again in the future wigs. (and yup, it was originally set for females but was fixed and flipped and looks cool on males.)

There are a few different reasons why some fell of the list for now, but this one just needs a bit of template work to make it fit the Sphinxes style*, specifically some extra lines, shading and such. They can still work but not easily without tinkering and work (and colour matching!)... so, wigs like this might get used by the team who are prepared to put in the work on them but they are currently not available for vouchers/customs and such.

*(by Sphinxes style, I just mean that it looks like it fits with the overall ascetic and other costume pieces, not that they are not lovely in their own right. A more dramatic example would be if I used a photographic background for a Sphinx... it sort of looks ok, but really the Sphinx would look out of place because the style doesn't quite match up.)

Oh! I've been meaning to ask this but I think so far only Nepthy had this hat, but she has it on two of her Sphinxes. One was for a custom and the other just a regular upgrade or game, I think. Is it available for usable?

Sweet! Also, I was digging around and found this chest... it's old, yeah. But do you have this chest from Aranea available to use? *fingers crossed* ^^

That particular chest is not available. Historically, for the Event Pooka made the chests for they were originally just intended for the team to use as a fun graphic when they were giving out prizes. She did template them so the team could personalize their own though... Eventually I was messing around with stuff as I do, and I liked Pooka's base chest,



and I used it to put on a Sphinx and thought it looked cool, (-8 and it sort of became an item. (Did I also just say I liked Pooka's chest?)

So, that exact chest is not available because it was Aranea's personal thing.

...but the other chest is available AND is templated so it could be coloured and changed, as well as having opened or closed options. Pooka even said that she wouldn't mind adding webs or doing other tweaks depending on her availability. (for example, if I gave out a chest as an item, I could do a simple colour change, like make the box black but wouldn't be able to add webs and such... but during customs or other things bigger changes might be available depending on the request... even when I'm doing refashioning Pooka can often help with minor stuff I can't do!)

Oooh! I didn't realize those regular ones were templated. I think I was really drawn into having a black one... you know, character continuity reasons x3 But it sounds good. I'll keep that in mind (and Pooka's chest... is/are awesome! lol)

Mr. Pooka A quick question that perhaps has a long answer. Which wigs are available/ will work for a masked priestess besides the default? I know I've seen them with various wigs throughout the years and with so many new wigs, I thought it might help to get some perspective.
