This Sunday I've got two things to share, (-8 I keep getting tempted to photograph everything... like Ramen is just so naturally photogenic, but I went with baking this week. First up, hot out of the oven are Hamburger buns, (-8 Pooka asked me to make her a hamburger yesterday, so here we are, (-8 Everything will be from scratch, the buns, burger, and even some of the condiments (I've got two kinds of pickles I'm gonna add, one of my own picked onions and some of my fridge pickles made using Hotaru's recipe, (-8) I'll try to remember to take a hamburger pic to, (-8 Next up we needed something sweet so I made Pooka a special Anime cake, (-8 It's meant to be tentacle themed... and has a surprise filling... I might take a pic but it's possibly inappropriate depending on what part of the gutter you live in... This is the second time I made this cake for Pooka... Originally it was inspired by Hiro and Mayolin! He's an exceptional cook and makes special treats for Mayolin every day, (-8

I meant to post these yesterday but with it being mothers day I got busy and kinda forgot XD but I made lemon marmalade <3 Used 2 cups oranges with 4 cups of lemons to give a slightly less sour flavor I peeled and sectioned so many lemons that after a while the juice got shoved under my fingernails and started to sting >.> cooking down the lemon sections and getting ready to add some sugar took a little while and kind forgot to keep taking pics but managed 7 jars of sealed marmalade <3 lemon marmalade on toast that my kids were enjoying, pretty tasty.

honestly even though I used 2 cups of oranges to try to balance out the flavor it still can out pretty sour. A little to sour for my taste (when taste tested plain) but my kids like it and when on toast the sour isn't as powerful, so not to bad.
If I were to do it again I would either use a less sour lemon (like maby meyer lemons) or do an even half lemon half oranges split.

I've never had or even seen a meyer lemon! ...I'd love to try them sometimes, and hope it works out for your marmalade, (-8 I love Lemon everything..

also I'm a hour late but I took a few more shots of this weeks baking! first up, come yummy cornbread, (-8 I've made a few different versions of cornbread but this recipe is our absolute fave! (Pooka asked me to make it again a couple days later, (-8 and one for my oatmeal, (-8 (apples and cranberries and raisins? I was in an everything mood) also the other evening I made Oatmeal cookies (with raisins and flax seeds! The flax seed was a last minute, huh, why not but they were actually really really awesome, especially the crispy ones on the outside edges! So good!) and Pooka made me Rice Crispy Squares, (-8 Desert for a week I think... (or... *goes to get a square*) Same note on the cookies. I love oatmeal cookies but this recipe is super super good and my fave by far!

A day late this time! ...I'm loosing track of the days of the week... It got really hot around here last week... hot for us anyways and it really cut down my baking, plus I did my shopping trip after a month and a half so picked up a few treats and didn't need to make everything we needed, (-8 I did make these though and they were (and still are) wonderful. What I need to do is remember to take a photo of one cut open... but either way they are sausages wrapped in bread and baked. I often do this with hotdogs but smoked sausages are a treat we love every once in a while, (-8 Each one is kind of a whole meal (especially if you add a side) and make a great dinner. They are also super awesome if you've got a day planned out like a picnic or road trip or whatever outdoor activity your planning and want to take a nice neat food (-8. You can make tons of variations of these... the bread makes a tidy container to fill with lots of goodies, (-8
