Heb Bastet (2020) Writing Contest
This is a free-form, free-for-all writing contest for this years Heb Bastet! The topic this year is Steampunk, including any of the the story themes we've introduced (such as Serpent People Conspiracies, Making Fiction reality, Life and adventures on S.T.E.A.M.) or any effects from and of these events or games. (Including game events still to come, if your writing later) You may submit any kind of writing you wish for this contest like poetry, song lyrics, short stories or any other type of creative writing you wish to try!
All contest entries should be PMed to Mr. Pooka here on these forums before May 15th.
After that date, all entries will be posted in these Heb forums anonymously by myself along with a voting thread and everyone will be asked to vote for their favorite entries. I will not vote on this contest myself with the exception of breaking a tie for first place.
You may make up characters, use your own characters or any Sphinx owned by Pooka or I. For this contest you may also use pseudonyms for your own characters to remain anonymous. I'd say that this is encouraged but not enforced especially if it interferes with the writing. (Like a rhyming poem for example, "Ryder picked up Cider to Hide her from the Spider" just doesn't work as nice if I change Ryder to Dave.)
All entries have to be original and written for this contest. Please do not post your entries anywhere else until after the contest is over.
