Wow, sounds crazy, and well, it may be a good chance to reduce some of the excess you've gathered over years that you don't need anymore. I was bad and just left everything at my parents' that I didn't immediately need when Retta and I bought our house. XD It's still there. I should probably go through and donate it.

That's so exciting, Pooka! Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys today!  If we get it, we're right by an airport and will only be a two day drive to Calgary, (-8 I totally didn't go and google airports after Pooka first mentioned Thunder Bay. Nope, not me.  The housing situation in Canada sounds crazy right now, even worse then down here. Wishing you guys the best of luck through out the whole bidding process the next few days! It's nerve wracking, to say the least, with so much stuff to pull together at once.

Good luck Pookas! We just got our first house last year and I thought the market was crazy then O.o Thunder Bay sounds super cool! We drove up through the UP of Michigan last year, it was gorgeous and just on the other side of a very, very large lake XD

Thanks for all the good wishes! I don't have an update yet, we're kind of up to our necks in getting all the stuff lined up atm. Hopefully we'll have things all sorted by next week and know more about what we are are not doing... We've just been super quiet, constantly running around and calling people and setting up appointments and tons of other stuff.

So much to coordinate! The process can be a lot of 'hurry up and wait', too, which can make it feel like it's taking longer than it is. The part that is turning my hair grey is the 'hurry up and wait' synced up with other peoples deadlines! We're also stuck on some funding atm due to some bank changes I wasn't aware of (or I would have done a lot more advance work on this!), so most of our 'sure thing' mortgages have fallen through and there is only one more place that might work out but we can't find out until tomorrow... and I don't know how long they will take to deal with, but our deadline to secure the money is Friday! *grows more grey hair while typing* |

So, I've opened trading season because I keep finding myself with a few hours here and there and I think I can work at it! Pooka's got some time as well and is going to be open for another round of customs (-8 (I might do smaller slot numbers depending on time and demand.)
I also had a couple more Sphinxes for the shop if I can track them down... I know there are some cool boys kicking around...

Oh goodness, Mr. Pooka. What a mess! I remember when Retta and I were buying our house a lot of the area realtors wouldn't even talk to us if we didn't have a pre-approved mortgage. It was very frustrating. The one we ended up working with was wonderful though and now sells million dollar lake homes.

We actually went into this with a preapproved mortgage... but the place we finally found and fell in love with is a Mobile Home (and we also live in a Mobile Home now) but just a couple of years ago they changed their qualifications of 'house' at the bank we deal with to exclude them, so that removed any security we could put up... without us knowing anything about that. Unfortunately they are not the only place either! )-8 I figured things were sort of a done deal but we only found out about this last week after getting everything all set up to go... *crosses fingers for tomorrows call*

Oh goodness! A mobile home is still a house. Retta and I lived in one for a number of years. In fact, our parents are just now selling it. I suppose some places think of them as "vehicles" or treat them similarly, but that's dumb if you ask me. I hope everything works out for you guys! *crosess fingers*
