You are lead up two sets of hidden stairs and through a secret door to a dojo compound containing a combat training floor, armoury, office, kitchen, etiquette classroom, library, sewing room and mediation chamber, all clearly marked. There were also several unmarked passageways and, no doubt, many more hidden portals... Several Battle Maids lower their weapons or teapots and bow respectfully as you enter their sanctum.
Nefer Nefer TA Dojo
Only a very select few were aware that the Nefer Nefer TA had a Dojo, some members, few students and select patrons. To everyone else, the place was a secret. While some groups where an exception, most traditions of Battle Maids were very secretive. On the surface it may have seemed almost silly at a first casual thought, but under the surface, Battle Maids served a vital service to their wealthy clientele. They were trained to seem inoffensive and sweet and harmless. They could dance, cook, sing and turn on fathomless charm. They blended into social scenes with seamless grace. This allowed them the opportunity to work their true job of intelligence and protection. Disarming people with their charm they could identify enemies, spot hidden weapons and notice any out of place details in an mistress's house. Most often, they were charged with protecting a person, or a family or a place. A noble courtier could rest easier knowing that their Battle Maid was caring for their child while they were working. An elite tomb robber could plunder a tomb without worry for her husband, knowing she hired a Battle Maid to keep him out of trouble. Some Battle Maids were even charged with following the particularly adventurous on their dangerous journeys, deftly turning back wandering monsters while still having hot tea ready anytime on the road all the while maintaining a spotless uniform!
Only the most skilled of Sphinxes was cut out for the job of Battle Maid. There were some independents, but many came from (secretly) named organizations who depended on flawless reputations were mistakes were not an option. There is also some rumors about Battle Maid groups growing out of ancient Ninja clans but most are considered more defensive then offensive and this part of history is murky, disputed or outright denied. While there are most certainly some ninja who disguise themselves as maids, Battle Maids are a way of life, not a disguise.

Perhaps you are here to attract or hire a Battle Maid, or perhaps you have the special something that makes you feel confident that you might wish to be one yourself?
