Don't know how I completely forgot to reply to this until now... But here we are

Its probably one of my favorite winter activities. I usually only go when the weather is nice. Nice being relative because it's usually still cold, but as long as the sun is out it take the edge off completely. We ended up catching about 34 yellow perch last weekend (there's no limit on those little guys on my side of the mountina!). That's typically what we go for because I don't particularly care for trout and I personally haven't gotten into much else. I have done a bit of research on kokanee, but all the lakes nearby that have them are a lengthy drive that hubby and I are not willing to do for a day trip.

That looks like so much fun Cameron, thanks for sharing the pics! I really do love perch myself, (-8 but Pooka prefers the trout so we'd be good with either catch. Our ice should be breaking soonish and I do love fishing the ice-out edge from the shore... it's a rare time of year where many of the deepest dwelling fish can be found patrolling the shallower areas.
