also glad you enjoyed Scrooge! (-8 I did not have high expectations but I really really enjoyed it and it'll prob be a season must watch now.
...and your mom's sardines sound delicious, (-8 Our usual fav here has almost the exact same flavour profile but I assemble them differently. (take some crusty bread and toast them. optionally scrape some garlic on the toasted bread. add the sardines, usually in a flavoured sauce, tomato and lemom being our usuals making sure to pour any of the sauce from the tin onto the toast. cover in a bit of cheese, maybe a scant bit of sliced onion and occasionally a thin slice of tomato then heat them in the oven till the cheese melts and everything is warm. yum!)

Annnd!! I want to properly introduce my new witch, Hazel, (hah witch hazel puns) She's really a fairy but the witch title was good PR, because ya know, enchanted holiday baked goodies ^^  She's so cute Sio!!! I love her coloration and her wings!! Also....  Plus, a new reindeer for my collection <3  She's adorable too!!! I love the title. I have a 'reindeer wrangler' on my list to get for customs. Hopefully next year she'll be made. She's actually half dragon, half reindeer. |

I've been watching Mr. Pooka working on the sphinxes from across the couch and am fascinated by the creativity you guys have!
Also, thank goodness for boxing day sales! We ordered a new computer (since my last one was totally unsalvageable) and it arrived in two days!! I'm typing on it now while transferring files over. I should be up and making art again within a few days. ^_^ YAY!

I've been watching Mr. Pooka working on the sphinxes from across the couch and am fascinated by the creativity you guys have! Also, thank goodness for boxing day sales! We ordered a new computer (since my last one was totally unsalvageable) and it arrived in two days!! I'm typing on it now while transferring files over. I should be up and making art again within a few days. ^_^ YAY! Yay!! Glad you got the new computer and so quickly!! I know the feeling of using a new computer after the old one gives signs of 'please retire me'. I still have to transfer things, but here and there I'll do that. Glad you're liking it so far. |

I'm thrilled that I backed up all of the important files last month! I've been sending all sphinxes to hubby during the event, and nearly every picture I made. I lost at least one picture, but hopefully I'll re-do it better. I also lost notes for a home RP I was going to run, but re-wrote what I remembered and I think it's even better. But yeah, my old computer totally died, we couldn't get anything off of it. |

I know that feeling. It's like every now and then I'll hook up my phone to my computer, put in my one sd card and transfer pictures to the sd card so that I have them backed up in case. Backing up things is such a good thing XD
I know when the desktop we had back in 2010 was starting to show signs of going, I started just backing things up by making zip files of everything, using my aol address to send them to my one yahoo address, then once I got my first laptop I just saved the files, opened them and had everything. When my first laptop, the Dell, did what it did to me, thankfully I still had all those files and hadn't really added too much. I saved what was new and just didn't add anything else and when I got the Toshiba, I just redownloaded everything. This time though I bought a usb drive, put everything from my now retired Toshiba on it and....when I feel/get around to it...I'll plug it in and transfer things to this one XD

That's a pretty good idea for passing around some files Angel, (-8 Because of Sphinxes and Pooka's art we've got a collection of Hard Drives all over the place to keep multiple versions of everything just in case! I should probably invest in some sort of cloud storage... but I'm of a certain age where I just don't always trust my stuff being save in the ether... Sio always comes up with such awesome ideas! I still haven't made any decisions on purchases. LOL I'm just too indecisive and spent a large chunk of today out. Perhaps I can get my act together in time for next year's Heb! Generally a good strategy, but of course by the time Heb customs come around hopefully we'll have inspired a 100 new ideas, (-8 (I am ridiculously excited for what we've got coming for the Heb!) |

...and I hope everyone is enjoying some lazy holidays off! we had ANOTHER foot of snow from a blizzard yesterday and I'm super glad I had nowhere to be, it was wild out there, though I was awoken a bit too early by the snow blower brigaded. It's kind of like one of those movies about the suburbs where everyone comes out to mow their lawns at the same time on the same day, but with snow blowers.
