I had to run out for a quick minute there, figuring I'd race the freezing rain we've got planned for the next couple of days. ...buy yikes it was wild out there! We're getting a supernatural Steven King style fog out there that was to thick to see a car's length. Classic December weather...
Now while out I did happen to see the biggest fox I've ever seen! It must have been taking advantage of the fog and just wandering around. I thought it was a big dog at first, but instead a Huge Fox! I almost wouldn't have thought they got that big, but I saw it, (-8
...now that I think of seeing that combined with the supernatural fog, I hope it's not some pet sematary or other Kingish style giant fox...

I got my new coffee table yesterday and it literally took me under 6 minutes to put this together. I then took out the ceramic tree that Mom got from her mom back in 1990 and set it up. I noticed there were about eight of the birds missing. I knew where to look...in the bag. The tree sits in an 'ancient' Clemens paper bag, which is sitting in an 'ancient' New England Serum box, which at some point I'm going to have to replace as I don't know how much life it has left. New England Serum is a dog grooming company. Anyway. Now, around the ancient Clemens bag in the ancient box are packing peanuts. Once I had the tree and the base out and on the table and set up, I looked in the bag. I found five of the birds and put them into place. I felt around and found no others. Now last year we had two missing, but found the one, so the hole that was unoccupied, we put towards the back. I'm looking at the tree and going 'they have to be in the box'. I took out the other little things from the box and I did the one thing Mom and I never did....I emptied the box on to the floor. I sifted through the peanuts and I found one of the birds that I had seen among the peanuts before I emptied the box. It sank down when I tried to fish it out. Okay, first bird found and in place. Now to find the other two. I knew there had to be two somewhere in there because the first time we noticed the missing bird, Mom said 'it's probably under the heater'. Well that time when we took the decorations down and moved the coffee table back into it's usual position in the living room at the house, I ran my hand under the base board heater when Mom wasn't in the room. Nothing, so I knew the bird was in the box. So the next year when we took it out I suggested taking everything out of the box and emptying the peanuts and sifting through them to find the missing bird. She just brushed it off and said 'we'll just put this side to the back again'. That's what she did. So again when we put it back, she didn't worry about it. So for the passed few years, we've always had that one empty hole and put it to the back. Again I had suggested checking among the peanuts and the one year she just snapped and when she went 'JENNY!!' in that 'don't piss me off, I want to get this DONE' tone, I shut up. Okay fine, you want to be that stufforn...okay, but I'm telling you it's in the box. Why I didn't just take the box and empty myself on a day she wasn't home...I don't know. I should have, just so I could have found it, put it on the tree, waited for her to get home and go 'I found the missing bird' and waited for her to ask where it was, I would have said 'it was where I thought it was, in the box among the peanuts'. That...would not have gone well, I already know. Okay sorry, back to my bird hunting story. So I knew there were two more. I sifted through the peanuts carefully and didn't feel anything else. I grabbed the dust pan and brush to start getting the mess cleaned up. I made a few sweeps and after about three dust pans full back in the box, I made another sweep and something caught my eye, another bird. This one was clear. Yay!! Bird number two!! I put it in place and there was that last hole. I was getting to the last few sweeps and something dark among the peanuts caught my eye. I was thinking it was a spot on the carpet, but I reached for it...and it was the last bird!!! I was elated!!! That hole had been vacant for almost 5 years now and now it is full once more!! All the birds are on the tree!!! I started to cry a little, happy tears though. I got the peanuts brushed up and back in the box and I'm just so happy!! I'm going to get some gorilla glue so I can take all the loose birds and glue them into place so I don't lose them again. Granted, they'd be in the bag in the box, but still...it gets annoying having to play bird hunt XD So after that happy find, I got the rest of the table decorations put on, save for one item, which is probably in storage and I didn't notice it to grab it, which is okay. I can live one year without that one simple decoration on the table. It won't kill me to not have it xD yay for happy morning!! Also, thank you PookaWitch. I love my Stitchmas sweatshirt. It does light up, I just didn't have it lit for the picture and looking at it now, I should have had my Grinch plush a little to the side so Stitch wasn't hidden so much XD The one manager I had worked with gave me the sweatshirt. She had gotten it for her one daughter and it was 'too small' for her. When I asked what size it was and she told me, I said 'I could try it'. The day she brought it in, I looked at it and went 'it might work'. I got home that day, tried it on and while it is a tiny bit snug, I can still move in it and breath, so it's good. I told her the next day and she was so happy it fit. Honestly...I had seen them in Walmart that year and had been VERY tempted to get one and they had the size I'd need, but...I had behaved. Haha...I wound up with it anyway XD I love it

Can I just ask--
For those that have tried baulders gate 3, how?
We had a free 2 hour trial and it crashed twice. Of course half the time was character creation.
Even hubby was trying to figure out controls and stuff...and that isn't like him.
I got stuck part way through asking him what Rangers attack goes off of cause doesn't say and it's a new system ( going off 5th). Just had to assume that the bonus points it suggests were put into the proper stats.
He was thinking about getting it. I told him if it keeps on crashing, no way at full price.
I still feel confused!

Pooka ran a game from some old Dungeon Magazines that had a similar thing... there was a swamp druid who would use eagles to carry and drop poison snakes on the party, lol... It sounds a bit silly but it was one of the absolute best series of stories ever written for the realms!
seriously any book written by Eric L. Boyd is second only to Ed. Greenwood in the best of forgotten realms canon and lore, (-8 He knows his stuff and his adventures are a delight!

We don't own a computer that can run it MA, so no advice from me, sorry! Though, everyone I know who has played speaks very highly of it.

MA, are you on a computer or playing on one of the consoles? If you're on a PC, definitely check the system requirements.
I had never played a cRPG before and I had a super hard time at first, especially with no background in D&D. The game doesn't tell you a lot, especially with controls. Took me awhile to even figure out how to move the camera. If you've got specific questions, feel free to DM me. I'm happy to try and help! I'm still not that good with gameplay mechanics and am playing the game on Explorer level, lol, but it's a blast.

It was console. Hubby took a look later and apparently a patch broke split screen. We both agreed that they need to let it ' cook' more because if I can't play with him there's no point.
Jean, if we do end up getting it, I'll totally take you up on the offer ❤️ I'm still soo confused and it made me want to play tabletop D&D cause everything is there. If I enter combat without knowing I know how to fight 😅

I feel like I have missed something somewhere along the line, and wasn’t sure where to ask… I am pondering some dark elf purchases, but wanted to look at the threads mentioned… and I cannot access the Svartalfheim area at all >.>

You have to play a game to get the password to Svartalfheim. The game is listed on the first page of Moonfire I believe

I know I’ve read through that thread, but I must have missed that part somehow! Thank you; I’ll go back and reread it

I read through that a bunch of times, and never saw the password part (or if I did, didn’t realize what it meant!)
*goes to find monster pictures to post for game entries when I get home… as well as think of a heroic deed, in case of really bad dice rolls >.>
Thank you both!

Split screen was the thing that held up the release of the game on Xbox so I wouldn't be surprised if there were some things to still work out. Hopefully they will get it working again and you can get back to playing!
