We've to soooo many treats to show off still this Heb! I don't think I pointed out Spring Creek's got a bear tail and bear claws... he does look awesome and now that you pointed that out OMG we can have bears! thats gonna make amazing Sphinxes hehe Curious from those words a black bear comes forth from the village. For some reason the villagers are not alarmed by it's presence.  Then she shapeshifts.  "There are more bears here then you expect. This is the tribe of the People of the Bear afterall." |

Just a curious note! almost all of my certing mails (and a few questions) have already come in because of our naming rules. I didn't mean to stress anyone out, (-8
almost any name is gonna be fine, don't worry about it! I only added a few rules to prevent some of the errors of early Hollywood movies and to make things welcoming and fun. Deed names are a fun way to go, as well as using different tribal languages (baby name lists are often good, though not always particularly accurate) and conventional naming is all great as well. It's a great way to add personality or even learn a few new words in a different language!
The kinds of things we are looking to avoid are awful naming conventions, like the joke names from films like The Ridiculous 6. (I'm not gonna even type out examples!) We also want to avoid super famous names just because of the Nature of Sphinxes and the fun wackness we can get up to. (for example, we don't need someone cool like Sitting Bull getting married to Santa Claus and winning a mobster upgrade from playing musical chairs... This can all be fun silliness for many Sphinxes regardless of backgrounds but can be awfully disrespectful of some actual historical figures!)
No need to ask for permission or worry about a name. If something comes in we don't feel right about I'll mention it, and why, and we'll try to go with something else, (-8

Someday Mr. Pooka plans to run an exploration RP for us at home (different setting) and I couldn't help but make sphinx versions of the characters I have set up. A note that they are from a fictional tribe and their garb doesn't represent any real tribe. (But does have inspiration from some of them.) Never Listens  Thunder Song  Gentle Cougar  And Gentle Cougar's daughter... Birchbark  She has another daughter 'Honey Bear' but I haven't drawn her yet. She was the last one I wrote up and haven't gotten around to it yet. ^^; She does have a sphinx though. |
